Ready to get healthy and make lifetime alterations.

I'm a 22 year old college student trying once again to get to where I want to be. I am a flexitarian which is sort of like being a vegetarian with training wheels: I still eat chicken, turkey, and seafood occasionally, but I am trying to focus my nutrition on plant-based protein instead.

I've never liked my body, even when I was thin in highschool. Senior year of hs, I gained a lot of weight due to depression and other issues. I made the commitment to work out and get in shape for prom, but I went overboard and ended up overworking and starving myself. Although I entered college at my goal weight of 135, over the past two years I have gained an unhealthy 80 pounds. I want to get back down to my healthy weight and find ways to maintain it for life.

I grew up dancing and would love to get back into some kind of dance-based work-out. I'm also very mindful of my nutrition, particularly my fiber, calcium, Vitamin C, and iron intakes: I don't want to sacrifice my well-being in order to lose weight quickly.

Other than working to get in shape, I love to spend Saturday mornings at my local farmers' market, going out with my friends, tweeting constantly, and decorating my house!

Lose 83 pounds total.

Eat at least 5 fruits & veggies a day.

Drink 8 glasses of water

Do 45 minutes of cardio a day.

Eat lean meat sparingly/focus on plant-based protein.

Eating clean, unprocessed food with a huge focus on fruits, veggies, whole wheat/multi grain, and plant-based protein.

Making smart decisions at every meal by planning ahead.

Incorporating running, walking, core exercises, Wii fit, and group exercise classes for variety.
