    WHAT IS A FRIEND!

A friend is someone who understands and
    someone you can trust.

They will listen to you both night and day without ever making a fuss.
A friend will stand by your side when you are right and sometimes when you are wrong.

They will hold you up when you are weak and provide support to make you strong.
A friend's love is unconditional and unique in every way.

And when you have problems a true friend will kneel with you and pray.
A friend will stand by your side through thick and thin.

A friend once said to me that a friend is sent from God above and I believe this to be true.

Because God has sent a friend to me and that friend to me is YOU.

IN CASE YOU MISS MY POST, I LIVE IN LAFAYETTE, ABOUT 15 MILES NORTH OF THE SMALL TOWN WHERE I WAS BORN AND RAISED . SO GLAD TO MEET YOU. I'VE ADDED YOU TO MY LIST OF FRIENDS ALSO.
BTW, HOW ARE YOU DOING? THIS IS A GREAT STRUGGLE FOR ME AS I'VE BEEN FAT ALL MY LIFE AND NOW HAVE MANY MEDICAL PROBLEMS BECAUSE OF IT.
I DON'T KNOW WHICH TROUBLES ME MORE; TRYING TO DEAL WITH THE EMOTIONAL EATING OR ACCEPTING THE FACT THAT I JUST CAN'T EXERCISE LIKE I SHOULD! SOME THINGS ARE JUST SO DIFFICULT TO ACCEPT BUT I KNOW IF I'M GOING TO BE ABLE TO MOVE FORWARD I HAVE TO. THIS IS A SLOW PROCESS BUT A POSITIVE ONE. PATIENCE HAS NEVER BEEN A VIRTUE FOR ME.LOL!!
    CHAT LATER,

It's never to late sweetie - Jump right in- the newspaper business has its ups and downs - But I married it 38 years ago. My husband's father and mother (war bride from England) started the community newspaper here back in 1947 right after coming home from War War II. He was from Illinois she was from England. He had gone to school for journalism and printing but the war was on. He moved to this area (Tennessee) because of a Bible college that needed a printer (Johnson Bible College in Koxville). So goes the story that the Tri-County area community did not have a newspaper - so he began one. My husband went to school for engineering but grew up in the business. I graduated as a nurse, but later went back to school for journalism and photography because I always enjoyed writing. I started working for his dad when my husband went to Vietnam in 1971 in between going to nursing school. But found I loved them both - but later journalism won over. I even worked in television for awhile and loved that aspect of journalism too. My husband and I later went to Africa as Missionaries, and I did a lot of reporting and documentaries there. I did not want to do much more when we came back from Africa but stay home or volunteer within the church. But his father passed away in 1993 and we took over the business and it has been a ministry in itself. We not only have a newspaper but we have a full servcie commercial printing business as well. God uses you know matter the situation. I am now the editor publisher here and the community knows my heart belongs to Jesus ... and they like that. My husband operates the printing end of the business. However the devil is always working his hardest to destroy anything good. That's why I pray daily and ask for prayer daily for our community and this newspaper/printing business. The little man is dying out fast (Alan Jackson's song sings of that so true).
I even won a seat as the first woman ever to be elected in County Commission knocking out two good-ole boys that had been in for 22 years. God sure did use me while I was in that arena. (LOL).

So girlfriend - it's never to late to do what your heart feels is right. Just pray. God will bless you!
