I'm here to lose 100 lbs.
After a lifetime of being overweight,I joined LA Weight Loss Center in 2007 and got down to a goal weight of 135. I felt on top of the world!
Thought I had overeating, binge eating and emotional eating in total control but fell off the wagon in mid- 2010 after losing my job. I didn't have to go back to work so I thought I would take some time off and "enjoy" life but sunk into depression instead.
I've been hiding ever since.
I'm mortified by my failure. I've missed family parties, lunches with friends and events for my children all because I don't want someone to see me and think, "Wow, she gained all that weight back? She looks terrible! How could she let that happen?!"
I'm wasting my life because I'm afraid of what someone else may think.
Since I can't tell myself to just ignore what others may think or say, I need to do something about this.
My life is dwindling away and I'm not being the mother that I want my 15 & 17 year old to have. At this weight, I can't breathe, I feel completely out of shape and am embarrassed to leave the house.
Going to try to make slower more gradual, life long changes this time and hope that it will stick.Trying to go for gradual changes instead of crash diets, and for health reasons instead of vanity.

Thanks for your comment about my walking backwards on the treadmill. I agree with you, it was also very mind challenging and I wasn't able to go very fast which surprised me. My daughter is having to do it as part of rehab for a torn ACL only she's running backwards at an incline. They do have her in a harness type thing though for safety reasons. emoticon
