UPDATE January 20, 2021: Today is a big change for the United States. My prayer is for God's Will in our lives.

UPDATE March 29, 2020: I discovered Plant Based Whole Foods (PBWF) last December (2019). My brother-in-law had to have a stent and his doctor recommended this way of eating to lose weight, lower his cholesterol, and lower his blood pressure. I had been struggling with pre-diabetes for about a year, and I also struggle with high cholesterol and blood pressure. SO...I decided to give it a try after doing my research. I can’t tell you how much better I’m feeling, plus I’ve lost 24 pounds! It’s a different way of cooking because I’ve also removed oil from my diet - so, sauté is a whole new experience, lol!

UPDATE January 2019: I’m reading a new book by Mike Bayer, entitled: Best Self, You Only Better. It’s helping me put my ducks back in a row to find the determination needed to get back on the “healthy road”.

My husband and I are retired! I know I will need to be careful about snacking since that's my downfall.

This is my journey to overcome a chronic tired feeling and constant joint pain. I had total knee replacement in 2012 of both knees. My recovery went great and I have awesome range of motion, plus no more pain!

My Goals:
Focus on a healthy lifestyle during retirement.

Change my lifestyle to one with a health and exercise focus.

My Program:
Exercise 5 days a week - 3 cardio and 2 strength training. Weigh once a week. Drink 8 glasses of water everyday. Stay within calorie range.

Removing "processed foods" from my diet. Eat fresh fruits and veggies everyday.

    Ate at Golden Corral in Lubbock w/ Amy, Ava and Zayden. I had a whole plate of veggies with baked Talapia (I think) on top. Then a roll and tiny cherry pie with tiny ice cream. That is GREAT for me. I am home to stay for a few days. Got a painter today to paint and fix some things on my house. I am really excited about that. I will have to be super skinny to live in a pretty house. Also, planted my front flower bed full of blue morning glories. Used 6 bags of potting soil. They better grow.
    The seeds Lori picked from our potted morning glories last summer. I guess I should email. But I like this better. Sounds like you are having a blast, as you usually do. It's pretty good we can have fun without eating so much anymore. Huh?

    We just got home from Furr's. I had baked fish, FF Salad, greenbeans, broccoli, and PIE. But I have never ever not gotten fried fish. But I have done good all day. Won't do well tomorrow if I dont go to Walmart tonight. We're gonna walk tonight when we get back. It has been SO windy today. Be good. (I sound like a mother)
