Hello...Thanks for stopping in. I have joined SparkPeople...hoping to catch the SPARK!!!! I have 2 boys 18 & 21. The older one just got on with the railroad and will be moving out in June. The younger one is about to be a Senior High School and works after school and on weekends so isnt around much. My DH is disabled and bed bound (AKA...a lot of extra duties for me) but I love him...and wouldn't trade him for the world. He is my motivator and best friend.

My Goals:
Lose 20 lbs in the next 8wks
Cardio 60 min daily
Strength 30 min 3 days wk
Mostly I want to feel better and not so tired all the time.

My Program:
I have joined because I need accountability. I have started the low cal and low carb diet. I have started walking 2 miles each night...to start off and will add each week and told everyone....so i cant skip out....I have asked the boys to help out with keeping their "temptations" put up until I get a routine and used to the diet.

Personal Information:
I live in West Texas, my name is Stephanie, I am40 yrs old and I have been w/my DH for 11 1/2 yrs. He has been disabled for almost 2 yrs and is only 36 yrs old .His weight is a large part of his disability and has been a real wake up call for me. I have never been over weight so this is a whole new ball game for me.

Other Information:
I am doing this for myself of course but also for my husband. He needs motivation to and I am hoping that when he sees me working so hard he will also try harder and not think its too late. I want him to know that just because he needs oxygen doesnt mean it's over. I know he cant even sit up....but there are things he can do. Help me by praying for his recovering. He is my life...Especially now that my boys are practically grown and moving on with their own lives...

    How's everything going? Are you getting things planned out well so you can get back on track?

    I've derailed myself these past couple weeks, but I'm slowly getting back on track. I gained 5 pounds back though in those 2 weeks, when it had taken me 2 months to lose them in the first place! So frustrating. At least it gives me more reason/motivation to stay on track from now on. :-)

    Hi, Stephanie! I am also on the Spark Spirit 5% team! I am hoping to get off 12 pounds this winter! Your goal scares me!! 20 pounds is a LOT in 8 weeks! Go for it but don't be discouraged if you don't make it! EVERY OUNCE COUNTS on the road to a healthier YOU!
