58, going through menopause and back on Spark.

Onwards and upwards as they say..

I'm nothing if not determined (and getting lots of practice climbing back on the wagons!).

It's been tough with all the health issues for myself, my daughter and now my husband. Add to that now taking care of my mom who lives with us (88 yrs and frail); its tough to find time to eat properly and care for myself. So many things make her nauseous and it's tough to find something she can eat so I'm not making two meals all the time.

Hoping to find the time and the discipline to keep up with my goals. SO far, lost almost 20 pounds... mostly through intermittent fasting. It seems to be the only thing that has helped given the menopause has made it much harder.

Here's to staying true to myself!

My Goals:
Eating healthier
Get more fit
Lose weight
Reduce stress level

My Program:
Eating at the table instead of in front of the television; will help me to be more mindful of what goes in my body
Logging my food; both good and bad; keeping me on track with my calorie intake
Exercising to the best of my ability; being mindful of my body's limits to ensure I stick to it
Learning to let go of things I cannot control

Personal Information:
I'm 58, married and looking to get off the yo yo diet bandwagon. Love to travel and stay active outdoors when the weather cooperates. Absolutely love gardening... both my peace and my nemesis.... I often tend to overdo it by spending too much time gardening... with fibromyalgia it's tough... an alarm is not enough as i'm good at ignoring them... lol.... so my husband and mom both let me know when two hours is up.... giving me time and energy to finish whatever needs to be finished right away and clean up. Need to find some less taxing hobbies!

    Hi Ush,
Thanks for stopping by, it was lovely to hear from you.I know what you mean about just taking love one day at a time, especially when it is busyI'm happy to report that though I'm still dealing with pain, I have managed to get out a bit more this year to a few nice shows and a couple of ballets as well as catching up with friends from time to time.
I hope your family and grandchildren are keeping well. Have a lovely weekend.
    Hugs and blessings, Nattacia

    BEAUTIFUL WOMAN AWARD"

You are the recipient of the Beautiful Woman Award!!

Once you've been given this award, you have to paste it on the page of 8 women who deserve it. If you receive more than 3, you know you're really beautiful! If you break the chain, nothing will happen, but it's always good to know someone thinks you're beautiful inside and out!

    Again, Congratulations Beautiful!

Thanks for your good wishe, Ush. I hope life is settling down a bit more each day. I know these things take time . I too would be wary of buying these sorts of things online. Hope you manage to find the right combination of things to help keep the pain at bay.
    Hugs, Nattacia

Great to hear from you, Ush. You seem to have more than your share of life's "little" curve balls lately. So glad you're managing through it all. Don't forget your Spark buddies are here to support you & cheer you on! All the best. emoticon
