Trying again for the umpteenth time. As far as I can tell, all diets (for me) are good for 30 pounds, then I get lost. NOT ANYMORE! Here's for more weight to be lost.

So here I am again! 2011 Never quit starting, right?

My Goals:
I am looking to go from 260.5 to 135. Doing Atkins as they say. All is well so far. My current goal is:
10% loss=26#@234.5 Done - 9/1/11

10% loss=23.5#@211.5
Done/surpassed 8/4/12

10% loss=20#@184


My Program:
Living La Vida Atkins.
I love low carbing and I am so pleased that I have finally found the missing link in my life.

I commit to developing myself in a positive manner and avoid anything that will impair my mental growth or physical health.



Personal Information:
I'm 46 and have had weight problems since I was 8. Started my first diet when I was 12. I lost 30 pounds. As a reward, my grandma bought me a pair of the coveted "Gloria Vanderbilt" jeans, the ones with the swan on the pocket. I may even still have them.
Since then, it's always about a 30# loss and then I go uphill again. I am searching for why I continue this pattern.
So, I have been overweight (with a few spots here and there)my entire adult life. I have only once thought that I "looked good". It was in 1986 and I weighed 127# for one day. It's the lowest I have ever been. I didn't think I look the way I wanted then, just good. Now, just to be under 200# would be great.


Other Information:
I love to garden and sew. Hanging with my kids is the top most priority though. They are really awesome kids. Somewhere along the way, I managed to do something right with them and the help of my husband and family.

    How are you today? I am sure you are kickin' it Spark style! LOL

    I am doing great! I am on day 3 of my new plan (which is the same as my plan before but, I am ACTUALLY doing it now. LOL)

    Day 1: I only went over my calories a little bit and I drank almost 8 glasses of water. I didn't workout though. I was tired and bloated all day.
    Day 2: I stayed inside my calorie range, ate more veggies and less carbs, I exercised 50 minutes and drank all 8 glasses of water! WooHoo!
    Day 3 (today): So far, stayed in my calorie range, ate lots of veggies, drank 8 glasses of water and walked on my treadmill.

    I am back on Spark after being gone for several months. I am struggling too. I realize now that this is a lifetime journey with some detours along the way. Just stay the course and you will get where you need to be.

    I am proud of your accomplishments and thankful that you are still here fighting the good fight! Don't give up!

    Whatever you are feeling that is causing you trouble now...it is temporary. Tell yourself it will pass. Focus on what IS working in your life. You WILL get through this.
