Hi, my name is Amanda, I'm 20 years old and I have a 2 year old son. Before I got pregnant, I used to weigh no more than 110lbs. Well now, it's a whole new story. I was told that when I got pregnant, that my body was going to change. I didn't know it was going to change this much. After I gave birth to my son (3 whole days in maximum induced labor and a C-section later) I was on my way to recovering. I was bent hell on losing the weight I had gained (70lbs!) from my pregnancy and looking like, or close to the way I did before I was pregnant, and I wanted it done FAST. So of course i tried all those "fad diets" that we've all heard so much about over the years. I even tried all different kinds of diet pills and weight loss products. Nothing seemed to work. Since the birth of my son I have only lost a total of 10lbs. So I gave up, thinking that I'm never going to get my pre-baby body back and that I'm always going to be heavy. Then my friend told me about this site on the internet called Sparkpeople, she told me she's been doing some of the things on it and that its really been working for her and that I should give it a try. And thats why I'm hear, to try and lose this weight and to stick to it no matter how tough things may get. I know at times this is going to be hard for me, but I am going to do this. My goal is to lose 50lbs and get down to 120 from 170. And I know that in time, I'm going to thank myself for sticking to it and buckling down. :)

-Drink 8 cups of water a day

-Keep away from fast foods/take-out

-Eat at least 2-3 Fruits & Veggies daily

-Find healthier and tasty alternatives when it comes to feeding the family

Exercise:

-Do at least 30 minutes of Cardio workout 3 times a week

-Do at least 30 minutes of Strength workout 3 times a week

-Take a multi-vitamin daily
