In 2009, I decided to start running. Overdoing it... I injured myself and was sidelined for a short time. After physical therapy, I was given the green light to try again... SLOWLY. I was told about the Couch to 5k program (C25K.com), completing it in February 2010. I ran three races, then quit.

Since then, I gained about 10 pounds back that I'd lost. A coworker invited me to join her in a 5K race in September 2011 and that got me off the couch and training again. I finished the race (running/walking) and then finished the C25K program. I continued running until November 2011.

November 19th, I started following the P90X workout program. The following week, I brought my nutrition closer in line with the recommendations for Phase 1... though some days it looks more like Phase 2. I'll keep following this nutrition portion plan for now.

- Lose the muffin top!
- 40 Pushups in any length of time
- 40 Pushups in 2 minutes (APFT)
- 76 Situps in 2 minutes (APFT)

- Run 5 miles in 50 minutes or less
- Run Two miles in 17 minutes or less (APFT)


My Program:
P90X Classic

One rest day per week, according to P90X program.

As part of the Winter Challenge, I will post my minutes and LTGL challenges daily and record my weight on Saturdays.

    emoticon Yeah, my little orange dog on my photo page (R.I.P too emoticon not quite a year yet) She got to about 3 REALLY NICE ribeye steaks!!! She had a crippled back hip too!!! Amazing what they are capable of! emoticon

    I've heard about that P.B. But there's NO WAY I can pay that kind of $$$ for PEANUT BUTTER!!! emoticon

    Well something has been happening since I added the meat back into the "diet" like it said to on days 5&6!!! Since Thursday I've dropped 2 LBS.!!!! WHOOHOO! AND don't forget I cheated and ate peanut buttr, Doritos and ice cream. Really when I added the meat, ice cream & Doritos is when I started dropping! I ALWAYS lose weight when I eat ice cream! It makes no sense what so ever but it ALWAYS works out that way!!! The stuff is 200 calories for 74 grams!!!

    So, my official weigh-in for the January Challenge is tomorrow! Fingers crossed! ANYTHING can happen between now and then!

    I know, the cabbage SOUNDS nasty but it isn't, REALLY! All my stuff in within range or closer to it than it's EVER been this week, I THINK??? LOL!:)) You're not supposed to even add the soup as part of your calories cuz you poop it out or are supposed to! HAHA!!! I add it though cuz I'm a nut! I dropped .8 of a pound from yesterday AND even had King Cake ice cream and Doritos!!! Now that's simply awesome.

    I don't care how much people yat up how GREAT peanut butter is for you! That stuff is addictive and way too high in calorie!!! I swear, I'm never going to buy another container of the stuff! To me it's worse than anything I can think of that is just too yummy to pass up! I can't have it around or i eat it! IT IS NOT A HEALTHY FOOD!!! Just my little rant! emoticon emoticon
