My sweet Bobby Boy!Roles reversed - Puppy in charge!"Enjoying a summer day"Nestle, our new Family Member we adopted from the Animal Shelter recently. She is 5 years old.Hard to believe, but on October 8th my Husband Roy & I will be married 50 years. YES!! I finally got my new Bird-feeder put up today, that I bought Saturday at a Craft Show. It didn't take long for Chickadees to check it out. I can tell they've given their approval..To my surprise, shortly after I began using my new birdfeeder, I thought my eyes were playing a little trick on me. I had to do a double take, but there, the Chickadee was inside the feeder. Yikes! The female Cardinal has been and still is a freequent visitor to our back yard. I'm sure attracted by the bird feeders of food.Today, December 21st, is the first day of winter, and I evidently had two "Lovebirds", the male & female Purple Finch; the male is the pretty one! My Sweet, Darling Visitor is coming around more often. I hope that I soon get to meet her mate, the Male Cardinal. What a treat to see a pair of Evening Gross Beaks today. I still see my favorite, the female Cardinal on a regular basis. Love that Beauty!I'm so fascinated by all the birds visiting and eating in our backyard this winter. This is one of the beautiful little finches. some of my pictures are looking like paintings. I LOVE my camera!I'm so happy to see that sweet female Cardinal coming to the bird feeders. She does get camera shy. Even though I'm taking pictures from inside the house, she sees me, I got some lovely pictures.Eventhough I think these creatures are cute, they can really be a nuisance at times. they like to overtake all the feeders if possible. thank goodness they can only reach this feeder. Thank goodness!I'm still seeing that special Visitor to the bird feeders, the beautiful female Cardinal. I haven't seen here mate as of yet but still have hopes to see him someday.Yesterday & today, I was able to get many lovely pictures of the beautiful female Cardinal. Still waiting for Mr. Cardinal.Since our Spark Activity Trackers will no longer work on Feb. 21st, yesterday I was able to find the exact one I wanted, on sale for $34. "Lucky day for me!"Eventhough I still so in love with the Female Cardinal, today I had a few Evening Grossbeaks that were visiting my feeders so, my eyes were on them.Even though I get a bit perturbed time to time with these creatures, as they take the roof off the feeder, I'd never want to harm them. Thank goodness they have access to just that one feeder.I can't say enough how much I've been enjoying frequent visits from the female Cardinal. I take pictures when I can, but it seems when she sees what I'm doing, she's gone!My sweet, frequent visitor, came to the bird feeders numerous times today. I decided to name her. So appropriate a name for her, Cardi!I took this picture in May of 2016, of this beautiful Butterfly setting on a Dandelion. Make me think of Springtime! This morning as I was gathering up my laundry, this Deer sweet creature caught my I as I was looking out a window. It looks more like a painting to me!Got some great & colorful pictures today of some visiting birds. The Purple Finch made many poses for me!Got some great & colorful pictures today of some visiting birds. The Purple Finch made many poses for me!I captured some lovely snapshots today of the beautiful Purple Finch and other visiting Birds. A Most Happy & Blessed Easter, Everyone! My Easter Surprise! The Male Cardinal came to visit on Easter Sunday. That was a glorious surprise for me. "Happy! Happy!"This is one of the many pictures I was able to get the my special visitor on Easter Sunday. I have not seen the male Cardinal sinceI took a number of pictures of this squirrel, earlier in the week. I could not resist those beautiful brown eyes, but look at those claws! They are cute little creatures! This was one of my sweet & pretty Sunday morning visitors. This can be a bit unusual because usually one squirrel wants to share it to himself, but they do have generous moments. Too cute! The Rose Breasted Grosbeaks are frequent visitors this week. I'm surprised to see a number of them coming to the bird feeders.Love seeing the many birds hanging around the bird feeders, and looking to see more variety as they travel through, stopping by for a bite to eat!I thought this Purple Finch is mighty pretty!I had not seen the Baltimore Oriole since May 10 and I saw three together. got a lot of pics. I took this one of the Oriole and the Rose Breasted Grosbeak.I think it is drawing close to the time, during the year when I will need to take down the bird feeders at night because of bear & raccoons which could destroy my feeders; so enjoying the birds. On Monday, we honored and remember all those Veterans who are no longer with us, but too, we think of those who are fighting now to keep our Country free.I purchased all my flowers yesterday, and there are so many lovely choices. I had a lovely visitor today that was enjoying them too.Following the visit of the Hummingbird on Friday, a Butterfly visited, and fed on the same flower. "Such a love for nature!"Just love being able to take pictures of God's creation. Can anyone tell me if this is possibly a Moth, or a Butterfly. When I was getting ready to go out the door to Church this morning, this was on our screen door. Isn't is pretty?I managed to get this picture most recently, and was more beautiful than I expected; another one of God's beautiful creations!I'm overjoyed, as today my Cousin sold me his stationary bike at a very good price. He brought it over this afternoon. For sure I'll be getting good workouts with this one, as I did this evening. On October 8th, 1966, my Husband and I were married. It's hard to believe that it was 51 years ago. "Feeling very Blessed; Thank You, God!"My precious Love, Bobby Boy! Yes it's true! They love walking together. Our sweetheart Nestle, from the animal shelter doesn't care to have her picture taken."My Precious Bobby Boy"Happy Easter Blessings to all you Sparkers!Happy Easter Blessings to all you Sparkers!Happy Easter Blessings to all you Sparkers!Happy Easter Blessings to all you Sparkers!
Happy Easter, Everyone!Happy Easter, Everyone!Happy Easter, Everyone!Happy Easter, Everyone!Happy Easter, Everyone!
i think many of us feel this statement in our hearts. We strive to be healthy people. Keep on Sparking!I love my Power Shot Cannon SX510HS Camera, that allows me to get beautiful pictures like this thru my bedroom or kitchen window. Such a powerful zoom lens! It's one of my favorite pictures I took this winter. Because animals and birds spook easily, my pictures of animals and of most birds are taken from inside the house from a window. I keep myself hid as much as possible or else they'd be gone. This picture of a coyote was taken a couple of years ago in our field where we have a few horses and cows. My camera has a powerful zoom lens that made it possible to get this picture. I felt like it was looking straight at me.Here are a few of my motivators to keep me going in my exercise. I have my ever faithful Fit Bit that I attach to my sock, and then my great selection of DVDs & VHS tapes of Walk Aerobics with Leslie Sansone. She makes exercise so much fun!My second favorite choice of exercise is my Stationary Bike. I've had to use that a lot when my foot problems and lower back act up. I can always count on that working for me, and I must say I've had less arthritis problems by exercising. "I fell blessed"!I'm looking forward to the nearing of early summer to have the beautiful Flowers adorning my porch and seeing Butterflies and the beautiful Birds that come around in the summer, such as this beautiful Hummingbird that stopped by to check out my fresh Flowers, early last summer.Just when the looks of winter are dissipating, the roads, yards and fields are clearing, winter reappears. Hmmm! So looking forward to the true feeling of Spring.I think the Birds, Squirrels, Chipmunks and Deer adjust to the change of weather very well! Some of my little feathered Friends this morning in this wintry mix of weather, came to fill up at one of my Bird feeders. Not only are Birds, Squirrels and chipmunks interested in the sunflower seeds, we have other visitors that surprise me. You may not notice the seeds, but that is what this deer is doing. The Weather Forecasters have said a storm is coming, but this little Critter could care less. He always seems to be ready.Winter, winter go away! The little Chickadees appear to be trying to take cover , surrounded by cedar branches. You wonder how these little creatures fair this stormy weather. The Common Redpoll, what a gorgeous, little Bird. Did you know the one who is gorgeous is the male? The female is the Plain Jane.Today's Thought, in the Devotion For Dieters is,Patience would be a lot easier if it didn't take so long to get.My most favorite hobby is capturing the Beauty of Nature in our world. Today I was immersed in more than I thought. This evening my Husband called out to me, and I'm wondering what it's about. He knew I'd be interested in getting as picture or two of the Deer that were standing out in the road. It didn't take them long to go off into the woods. I liked this caption best. The Common Redpolls were nestled in the tree branches all afternoon.Today's Thought, in the Devotion For Dieters is, "This day means that I am one day closer to the end of my diet!"Today's Thought, in the Devotion For Dieters is, "There are a lot of things more interesting than food!"Today's Thought, on April 20th, in the Devotion For Dieters is, "The busier I keep myself, the thinner I get!"Today's Thought, this day, April 21st, in the Devotion For Dieters is, "Make me less, Lord: less body, less selfishness, less ego!"
Last week at this time a big winter snowstorm was on its way, and by early Sunday morning it began and went non stop all day.Thursday, just a couple days ago the charming spring weather began. As of now it's 67. The sunshine and the warmth of a spring day, has put a smile on many peoples faces.Today's Thought, in the Devotion For Dieters, foe April 22nd, is, "I want my life to be much more than food and drink!"Today's Thought, in the Devotion For Dieters, for April 23rd is, "I will not stand for slavery to flesh & fat!"Spring has finally sprung in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It's the kind of weather that puts a pep in your step! When all the beautiful Birds are either coming to spend the summer or passing through, is one of my most favorite parts of Spring. My Husband had an appointment late this morning, and I decided it was worth my while to take my powerful Camera with me. When I returned home within the last hour, I downloaded my pictures forgetting I had a few pictures taken beforehand, I cannot resist sharing that beauty I capture with my Cannon Zoom Lens. There is so much beauty to see, and on this road venture, I was taken by the clouds. The clouds were so wispy today. I could vision an angel, a bird and even an airplane. It looked like the work of an artist with a paint brush. I'm sure not everyone would see these clouds the way I do.Another beautiful Common Redpoll, perching on a tree branch.Beauty is all around us.We are blessed with our vision to see the most beautiful things. Beauty is found almost anywhere! Our Sweet Nestle! She does not like to look into the camera. She avoids it the best she can!My Sweet Little Bobby Boy, taking a little cat nap!Just love all the opportunities to capture nature at it's best! I see a lot of Best! So enjoy seeing all the Birds that come around to be fed. I believe in this particular picture there are Starlings and Red-winged Blackbirds. I have not seen as many colorful Birds this Spring, I believe due to our abrupt weather changes, but I'm still watching and hoping.Squirrels can be so entertaining! This one in particular was living dangerously, up on the live wires. They don't fear the power lines, and I've never seen a Squirrel die yet by living carefree!Yep! That's the carefree Squirrel up there! So looking forward to having my porch adorned with flowers. Last year brought many daily Visitors. Hope to see as many, as I often did last year.Only one day last Summer I had the pleasure of seeing this Hummingbird. I hope that I see more Hummingbirds, and galore of Butterflies like last year.We had a good size snow storm in the middle of April, and now today, May 1st, it is 82 degrees as I post this. For some of us this is over heated. As the quote says, "Progress, non Perfection." It's definitely what many of us would call a Summer day.I could not resist taking this picture of these two Blue Jays perched in a tree. The Blue Jay saying to the Squirrel,
"Peek-a-boo, I see you!"Last evening I could hear the woods around me, singing with a full choir of (Frogs)Peepers. The woods is getting lively with the fullness of Spring, and Summer is right around the corner. I'm anxiously awaiting to see the beautiful Butterflies. As of now I get my camera out to capture as much as I can of the beauty outdoors. I see it in the nature around me, with the wildlife I'm seeing these days, they are happy also, to see trees budding, the grass sprouting. All is afresh! What a beautiful Sunday afternoon! As the weather gets nicer and nicer, more feathered creature are hanging around. I manage to get some lovely photos of the Rose Breasted Grosbeak. One in particular, it seemed like he was giving me many poses of his beauty. It may be a while before I see any Hummingbirds, so in the meantime, I will focus on the other beauties. They all display a part of beauty.I just could not resist this Purple Finch, looking so very perfect to me!This Blue Jay also caught my attention. This is a favorite picture of mine that I took a few days ago of this Rose Breasted Grosbeak. I could not believe how much beauty came in every part of his face, as my camera captures all! He definitely captured my attention.I was so excited yesterday to have visits at my Bird Feeders by the Hummingbirds and the Baltimore Orioles. I took pictures throughout the day. It isn't easy as I must stay hidden because as soon as they see me, They fly away. I'm hoping to have many days like yesterday and capture their beauty.A surprise visit by the Baltimore Oriole yesterday. I captured the beauty of these lovely Birds throughout the day.I almost felt like this Baltimore Oriole was posing for me.My sweet little Bobby Boy was at the screen door saying, "Hey! I'd like to come in now."I'm enjoying all this beauty that God has put in our path.I love when I can capture the beauty of a Bird perching on a tree limb.Love capturing the beauty of these beautiful Birds! This little one captured my attention.Love capturing the beauty of these beautiful Birds! This little one captured my attention.Love capturing the beauty of these beautiful Birds! This little one captured my attention.Love capturing the beauty of these beautiful Birds! This little one captured my attention. The Baltimore Oriole gave me many poses through this past week, especially yesterday. They are very entertaining, watching this one flitting from tree limb to tree branch, and eating from it. It's a fun time taking pictures of God's creation.I love being entertained by these beauties! One of our Horses was enjoying the beautiful day.It was a very perfect day. These Golden Finches and the Purple Finch were enjoying the day too.I was enjoying getting some pictures of these Finches on the tree limbs. The Rose Breasted Grosbeak is a very steady visitor these days. I'm hoping if I keep on putting out the favorite foods of all these Birds, they'll hang around all summer.I don't know the name of this Bird, but it caught my attention. A little cutie! My potted flowers I've purchased these past two days are getting a very healthy drink of rain. This was before the rain with Bobby Boy, and four of my potted flowers. My potted flowers I've purchased these past two days are getting a very healthy drink of rain. This was before the rain with Bobby Boy, and four of my potted flowers.I think I need to get at least two more plants for more color. My 8 are not looking like enough color.I did see this one Bumblebee enjoying this plant.I couldn't resist taking a few pictures of this Squirrel, as he headed up the power pole, but seemed to pose for me, on his way up.As he reached the very top, I took a few more of Chipper the Squirrel.I think he likes living dangerously. The sky got a threatening look for awhile this afternoon. The stormy looking sky looked like it was clearing up, but then came the heavy, well needed rain.Tomorrow, we remember those Veterans who have since passed on. They have fouyght for our freedoms.Tomorrow, we remember those Veterans who have died.We are always blessed to have the Bugler to play the Taps.Hope you had a Blessed Memorial Day! I was very surprised when I got home and saw this photo I took. I had not idea it turned out this way.Every year, we go to three Cemeteries on Memorial Day. My Husband is a member of the American Legion. I had another photo of the same effect, taken at the second memorial service. Our faithful young Bugler every year.Today's Thought, in the Devotion For Dieters, on May 29th is, "The same power that withers figs can wither fat!"Last night before I could go to bed, I was drawn to the moon. It was truly gorgeous, so it was time for me to get out my camera, and because I was feeling so much better by then I could not pass up the opportunity to take a number of pictures. This camera of mine has given me many prize pictures.I love photographing the moon, and it was more beautiful looking at it through the lens of my camera.Since I was having the time of my life photographing the moon last night, I'm not feeling that appreciation of the beauty that I saw. I'm hoping this last picture I'm choosing will show the magnificent beauty I see. Just looking up in the sky and zooming in on the view was so satisfying.I love my flowers that I got within a week now. Now I will be on the lookout for those darling Humming Birds and Butterflies. I'm hoping that tomorrow I will capture some photos of them. I'm ready! I have 10 flower pots in total. Here is a picture of my other 5 flower pots. I love my flowers. My porch is dressed in flowers now. It's June 1st, and FINALLY I have seen my first Robin of the year. I've been watching and I've been looking. Today is the day, and I LOVE it!Since this Robin is enjoying, hanging around today, I took many different poses of him, since he has given me plenty of opportunity.I love this very special cat, that I named Bobby Boy. He captured my heart from the beginning. We have been blessed with this special cat, Bobby Boy since 2007. To me, he is still my Baby!We have been blessed to have Bobby Boy since 2007. He is still my sweet Baby!I've been missing this beautiful bird, the Baltimore Oriole for the last few days. I'm beginning to think they've moved on to another part of the Country. I keep my camera ready for my special visitors.I saw my first Butterfly over the weekend. I only managed to get one clear picture. I hope to have a colorful summer. It's always fun to watch the Squirrels at work!I can see it's time to eat!Yesterday I had spoken of my disappointment as to not seeing much of Butterflies this summer, but one. Shortly after I posted that, my flowers were being visited by a couple of beauties. It was quite windy yesterday afternoon, but I noticed how these Butterflies must have a strong grip as they did not fly away.I'm going to look up the names of these two Butterflies who visit us through Summer & Fall. I'm looking forward to seeing much more of them.Yesterday these beautiful little Butterflies were enjoying the flowers as well.I also captured the Bumblebee at work. The Bumblebees were very busy yesterday.Another beautiful day, to enjoy the outdoors! My sweet little Bobby Boy wanted to spend the night outside even though there was a Bear somewhere in the area. It doesn't bother him one bit!It seems to be a great week to capture the beauty of the Butterfly.Capturing the beauty of another Butterfly! All my other Bird feeders have been put away until late fall, due to unwelcome guests. The Bear made it known he was in the area by leaving a "deposit" in the road, just past our driveway, the day after he took away one of the Bird feeders. We have had Bear come in to our yard in years past during the day, so I'm not going to ask for trouble. This is the only Bird feeder out year round, that is on a wooden post. I won't be putting any food in it until the fall. All my other Bird feeders have been put away until late fall, due to unwelcome guests. The color of the body makes me think of root beer. Do you know the name of this little beauty?Another view of this beautiful insect. Do any of you know the name of it? It is hard when I'm looking in my photo gallery to pick out the best as the pictures are so small when I'm picking them our. I'm hoping this insect comes back to visit.Another picture of this beautiful insect.that was checking out some of my flowers on my porch.Another picture of this beautiful and possibly a Hummingbird moth. This picture I took reminds me of the Hummingbird. I will be investigating this I'm so curious and very interested. Are any of you familiar with a Hummingbird moth, and are you familiar with this beautiful insect? The Squirrels have been picking up the scattered seeds in the yard, probably gathering it to feed their babies.I just love watching these little creatures. They can be quite entertaining!I was thrilled yesterday to see this beautiful Hummingbird moth return to visit my flowers. Someone had also said it was a Wasp moth, but when I looked at pictures as to what they look like, it truly resembles the Hummingbird moth. I hope the picture shows up well here. I got as many pictures taken as I possibly could.Several pictures, but not quite sure they're as good as the pictures I took on Sunday.I hope these pictures show the beauty of this Moth.Another special Visitor yesterday was this cute little Chipmunk in my back yard . Could not resist !As you can see, the Chipmunk was busy, looking for food.So nice to see the Robins around, and I noticed as I was photographing this one, a few times he or she had pulled up the worm and gobbled it up just as quick.I felt like this Robin was posing for me!I guess some of my close ups are much too close. It was definitely a day for Boy Boy to take numerous cat naps. It was a dreary but well needed rainy day.I saw a visitor of Bobby Boy's Friday evening.I have no idea if it's a female cat or a male, but it seems they must get along. I saw a cat on our porch a few years ago, and I noticed then he put that cat in it's place. I've never seen a mark on Bobby, or on a cat that ever came around here. This visitor is a pretty good sized cat. The mostly white legs was something I've never seen much of. I wish the clarity in the pictures was better.I think Bobby's visitor has been here many times. When he spends the night here, the barn is more than available.A very hot and humid day in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan today. I saw it as high as 93 degrees. The air conditioning feels very good! At times like these, it is more enjoyable looking out the window, than looking in!Dear memories of these, and other precious Pets from over many years...from bottom to top. is LuLu. Rusty & Molly.Special, sweet & precious memories of one of our beloved pets from over the years. Missy, as we named her, was given to us as an Anniversary gift by one of our friends, when she had just been weaned from her mother.I'll never forget this trip to New Orleans.Three of our precious pets, holding many special memories, from years gone by: Cinderella, Lady & Missy, and all with such different personalities.Frequent visits to the flowers, by these charming butterflies. Some pictures I've had the opportunity to get look more like paintings. They are favorites of mine. The sky was so full of these pastels, and my camera was ready.Another night I captured a sort of threatening sky. We are blessed to see these magnificent visions.Another view of this artfully painted sky.A Bumblebee at work!Fascinating! Devil's Tower, Wyoming. We also visited Mount Rushmore. Many beautiful sights to see out that way.A view as we were approaching Devil's Tower, Wyoming. These are pictures I took before I had my digital camera, so they are retakes of this vacation. My Aunt & Uncle from Chicago, passed away a number of years ago. They had many Pets over the years, and these were two of them. This picture which my Aunt took is a rare type picture, it's one of those that I think is quite cute, so I wanted to share it.My Aunt & Uncle from Chicago, passed away a number of years ago. They had many Pets over the years, and these were two of them. This picture which my Aunt took is a rare type picture, it's one of those that I think is quite cute, so I wanted to share it.This was one of the most unusual pets my Aunt & Uncle over the years, a pet Skunk!Catching one of those captivating sunsets. This pretty cat (I got a very good look at him or her today, probably a girl cat) seems to like hanging around, and it's quite obvious Bobby Boy and this other cat get along. I got some great photos of this cat.I'm going to come up with a fitting name for this beautiful cat.Our Horses, Sam, Sonny & Dusty were hanging in the barn today. They seem to do this when the flies are bad. They seem to like that area, away from the flies and the heat.It was a beautiful day!A very good day for a cat nap with the hot summer heat.Just love watching the beauty and gracefulness of these Horses!I can't remember when it got this miserably hot, a dangerous hot. It's definitely a good day to stay inside, and stay cool and drink plenty of water. !00 degrees is not comfortable weather to be outdoors.I wasn't going to go by just one thermometer. I checked another and it was the same or a little more than 100. It's unsafe to be outdoors doing any type activity. You'd be cooking in that sun!We really had a big heat wave in Upper Michigan. I live in between Marquette, MI & Escanaba, MI. The Upper Peninsula sets just below Canada. At 100 degrees is something we would rarely expect here. but today it happened!Could not resist taking this picture of the Moon, with the leaves of a tree framing it.Being fascinated with different frames of the Moon.Blessings to you on this 4th of July!Because I took more pictures of this coyote I thought I post a couple because the clarity isn't the best.Another picture of this coyote who gave me so much opportunity to take pictures of him or her.The Horses were watching that Coyote, as that Coyote was watching the Horses. As you can see the horses were watching that Coyote too. At least these 2 Horses were watching. My Husband has said that the Coyotes and Horses sleep in the same area if they choose to.Oh yes! Those Horses were looking at the Coyote.Catching a "Busy Bee" at work! Here is a Dieter's Prayer I'd like to share with you. This prayer was given to me by a very good Friend. It's a beautiful prayer for a Husband & Wife. Thought you might like it too. Finally got to this Farm yesterday that has over 400,000 of these beautiful Sunflowers. This week is suppose to be the peak of the season. What a gorgeous sight!A very beautiful day to visit the Hall's Farm!I even got my personal tour of the Farm. What an enjoyable afternoon!Walking through a row of Sunflowers at the Hall's Farm.Catching a beautiful view of Nature!Enjoying this woodsy drive with my Husband. I'm so glad to have my camera handy for many reasons.Such beauty we get to see in Nature. I had a great opportunity this week while my Husband was the chauffeur to take numerous pictures on a country drive.Feeling so blessed to get pictures such as these.Just loving this scenic drive! This is what I call serenity.I took advantage of the many opportunities I had at the Hall Farm which has a gorgeous field of sunflowers, and much more to see.I love when I have the chance to capture all type of beauty of nature around me.This Northern Flicker seemed preoccupied giving me several opportunities to get several pictures. This Northern Flicker seemed preoccupied giving me several opportunities to get several pictures. This Northern Flicker was very busy in our yard giving me many opportunities to get numerous photos of it.This Northern Flicker was very busy in our yard giving me many opportunities to get numerous photos of it.Nestle, pronounced like the chocolate drink, doesn't like to get her picture taken, but got this! My sweet Bobby Boy in one of his cozy moments.A beautiful morning today, and I think the horses thought so too!Just a very lovely day for taking pictures of some of my favorites. The Birds & Squirrels have a way of scattering the Sunflower seeds when they're actually trying to hide them. I was surprised to see this Sunflower that had the looks of an artificial one.I have gotten some beautiful pictures of the Northern Flicker lately.I was given so many opportunities to get many pictures of the Northern Flicker, and I took them.I think this Northern Flicker liked being my Celebrity.Someone is looking a bit curious!Love these Butterflies!I had some wonderful, little surprises in my back yard today. So blessed to have this camera so I can zoom in for best shot possible.I love these darling Hummingbirds, and today our feeders were put out for them, and they liked it! Many of them zooming about. For safety's sake the feeders are being brought in at night in case of Bear or Raccoons. This darling little Bird was in our back yard today. Can anyone tell me what it is? Such a little cutie!I got at least three pictures of this sweet, little Bird.If it weren't for my zoom lens camera, I would not be able to make it visible enough for you & I to see this mystery Bird. I hope one of you will know what it is.My Nephew Joe stopped by today with two of his sweethearts. They are definitely precious; Satchmo & Koda! Koda is quite the Puppy!Satchmo is a very patient and good big sister to little Koda. I guess you could say she will be Koda's Teacher. It was a great visit with our Nephew and his two Pooches. This was Satchmo a little over 4 years ago when she was a Puppy. There are a lot of Hummingbirds hanging around by the Feeders for them. I try to catch them in flight, and sometimes I do.Last night between some heavy rain, lightening & thunder, I wondered if I would even see those tiny, little Hummingbirds, but that didn't stop them today.Yesterday I happened to see the little,
Black-capped Chickadee, perching above the Hummingbird feeders. I realized then it was time to put a feeder out for them. Today I also noticed a few Golden Finches coming around. The feeling of Fall is in the air and it's just a matter of time now it seems and the Hummingbirds will be heading to warmer Country. Sure have enjoyed them! It's that time of year, and the Hummingbirds are getting ready to leave. I've seen less activity of them this past week. Before going to bed last night, I caught a beautiful glimpse of the moon, decked in splendor, with leaves and branches surrounding it. I could not resist taking a series of pictures. It was gorgeous and I could not resist! The Moon, captured in its Beauty! The Squirrels and a variety of Birds are coming around to the one feeder I put out. I do not leave any feeders out at night because of Bear. I don't want to encourage them to come around. I got some lovely snap shots of the Blue Jay.I could not resist this pose!I don't know why the Black-Capped Chickadee perches on the Hummingbird feeder.I was telling someone just a few days ago. how we are not bothered with Bumblebees, Hornet or Wasps, but I guess I spoke too soon. I'd say it's a wasp or a Hornet.I got a picture of this sweet little Hummingbird spreading its wingsI had this little visiting Chipmunk this morning.Yesterday I was at the Green Bay Packer Stadium, so of course I had my camera ready.Yesterday, while on the way back from a Pilgrimage which brought our Parish as far as Milwaukee, we stopped on our way home at the Packer Stadium in Green Bay.As you can see, we were having a little fun at the Green Bay Packer Stadium. On our Parish Pilgrimage, which began on Thursday, from Upper Michigan, one of our stops was at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Good Hope in Champion, Wisconsin, where our Parish Priest offered Holy Mass. It was a beautiful occasion. On our way back home yesterday, on this 2 day Pilgrimage, one of our stops was in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, at the Joan of Arc Chapel, for Holy Mass.A beautiful sunset disappearing into the evening at Holy Hill National Shrine in Hubertus, Wisconsin.A beautiful sunset disappearing into the evening at Holy Hill National Shrine in Hubertus, Wisconsin.I love my Feathered Friends!Hoping for a lovely Fall season!Sure enjoyed visiting this Sunflower Farm.I love these kind of nights. The glow of that moon!Remembering a very fun time, in New Orleans, a reunion of over 30 years and being reunited with Friends, from my Husband's Navy days.Precious Memories!Last Friday coming back fro, a Pilgrimage, we stopped at the Packer Stadium in Green Bay WI, where our Parish Priest did the Lambeau Leap. Yeh!This glass Bird feeder, I've been apprehensive to put outdoors, but today I decided while our weather is beautiful, and I will bring it in at night, it's a perfect time. The Black Capped Chickadees went to it instantly with no hesitation. It didn't take long for the Nuthatches to come to the Bird feeder either. I took several pictures, and when I go to post these, because the picture is so small that it is hard for me to tell for sure if it's the Nuthatch, but it appears to be the color. The Finches as well like this feeder. It seems to be a "PLUS" for the small Birds. I haven't seen the Blue Jay perch on it.Last Friday morning as we were continuing on our Pilgrimage, we stopped at the Basilica of St. Josaphat for a tour which is in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. So beautiful!! It was quite the tour with so much to see. We had a Tour Guide at the Basilica who shared a lot of history with us. There was so much to see. My camera was very busy.So many meaningful sites to see at the Basilica. It was a very special time at the Basilica of St. Josaphat. We had a few more areas to cover yet at the Basilica, and I think me & My camera were happy to have the opportunity to get many pictures. As I said there was so much to see, so I will just post this one final picture of a very special time at the Basilica. This is a statue of St. Josaphat. This is a picture of part of the Basilica of St. Josaphat in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.I'm wondering if any of you have seen this flower in the woods, or in your yard, and might know its name? I saw it in my back yard this afternoon, and I took a picture of it this evening. For whatever reason it reminds me of a pansy by the shape and markings. It's just one lone flower, and so pretty, and so very small. I got down to the ground with my camera to take a picture of it. It was not showing well by standing and zooming in to it. It'd so pretty!I took several views of this flower. Here's another look at it in a different direction. It most likely was a seed that came from one of my potted plants that I bought in June, but yet nothing looked like that in any of the pots. And here is a different view of this lone little flower.I had some Finches that were enjoying my Glass Bird feeder today. The one finch just wanted to stay and feast at the feeder. I've noticed the Blue Jays are staying away, I have a feeling they'll try it. They try everything else. I'll get a picture if I happen to see them on it.Aside from the finch eating it must have noticed my camera even though I took the pictures from my kitchen window.Of course I could not resist the little Chickadee!A picture taken at the celebration of H, while on our Pilgrimage.Holy Mass.Celebrating a Friend's 10th year in Recovery, "A Day At A Time."It looks like the Chickadee is surveying the area.A few nights ago I took this picture and a few others thinking I may get a closer view if this be a satellite or a another planet. It isn't the moon. It seemed to glow an orange color.Go in peace, the Mass is ended, thanks be to God.This happened in November of 2016. I had not noticed that the Glass Bird feeder was very close to empty at the time, so a Chickadee went into one of the holes of the feeder where there were a few seeds in the bottom and flew up into the upper part and stayed there until I noticed. I unscrewed the bottom and the little Bird flew out. I happened another time shortly after. I keep a very close eye on that feeder now.The Black Capped Chickadee being in the middle of of the feeder did not stop other Birds from stopping by to eat the sunflower seeds in the bottom of the feeder, while their little feathered friend was flitting about.Even though a Chickadee had entered the feeder, there in view of the other Birds, it did not stop them from coming by to eat. I'm even more watchful of that feeder now, into not letting that happen again. I love to catch beautiful poses from all of God's feathered & furry creatures whenever I can.I love to catch beautiful poses from all of God's feathered & furry creatures whenever I can.I was having fun watching this Blue Jay hang on to the tree branch as the winds were picking up. He didn't seem to mind at all.Mr. Blue Jay looks like he'd holding on for dear life with his talons wrapped tightly around the branches, and also has his head in between the branches, but he made it! The wind was fierce.Holy Mass on this beautiful Sunday Morning.Beautiful Fall Flowers from a Parishioner's flower garden adorn the Altar."The Power of Prayer"It was a beautiful fall day, but it is getting cold tonight at 36 degrees before midnight.Yep! Staring right at the camera! The beautiful Northern Flicker. The Blue Jays and the Mourning Doves are frequent visiters to our Northern Upper Michigan.Loving Nature! This Duck seemed to be enjoying hanging aroung and eating food atr my Sister's feeder.I love visiting my Sister who lives in South Texas, a beautiful place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there. Her yard seemed like a heavenly spot to me, But I'll stay in my bit of Heaven in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The Beauty of a sunset!A spectacular orange glow in the sky, with the Sunset! My camera and I cannot stay away. Last evening, just as the sun was setting, I had this cute little Bunny in our back yard.Mr. Rabbit wasn't in any hurry to leave our yard, he certainly wasn't frightened by my camera.Hot one bit intimidated by the camera.I think the Birds and the little furry creatures I'm seeing know and feel that winter is close at hand.A week ago I posted a picture of this Bird and called it a Northern Flicker, but it is called a Red-Bellied Woodpecker. This is the Bird called a Northern Flicker. I know in my photo files I have, I believe better photos of this Bird.Another picture of this beautiful Bird called the Northern Flicker.Maybe you can tell that the Red Squirrel on the right in the forefront of this picture is letting the Squirrel on the left in the back round that he has no business here, as he has already claimed this area for his own. They are so comical to watch.I took a picture of these two Dark-eyed Juncos. I almost felt like they were posing for me.Got a small taste of Winter this morning. It seemed this Squirrel was enjoying a little bit of snow on the ground.I notice the Birds and the little furry animals handle the winter weather well, even through sleet & snowstorms. This Black-eyed Junco was perched comfortably on a snow covered tree branch.A little later in the morning, the snow had pretty much disappeared from the ground. They are enjoying the sunshine!Unbelievable what a powerful zoom lens camera can capture of the moon!I love when I can capture an unexpected moment on camera. This was one of those times!"My beloved Pet Missy, a beloved memory."Crazy cold & windy here in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan today, at 35 degrees but feeling like 24. The furry and feathered creatures were looking for their food and I happily put it out for them.Their were a lot of these pretty little Dark Eyed Juncos around throughout the day. And of Course the Blue Jays were a plenty too!Such a beautiful Moon tonight! Took several pictures. Trying to get more light in it. No easy to do.Such a beautiful Moon tonight! Took several pictures. Trying to get more light in it. No easy to do.I took this picture yesterday, of what I believe is a White Crowned Sparrow. I've never seen one before, and had to take a few pictures; one is not enough for me.Another picture of this beautiful White Crowned Sparrow.I just couldn't resist this cute look on this Finch's face.It is obvious these sweet little Finches enjoy perching on these branches.A short while ago my Husband and I were chatting at the kitchen table, and from the window behind him, I had a lovely surprise, this beautiful Male Cardinal. I had not seen a Male Cardinal since Easter of April 16, 2017. That was the first and last time until now! Oh, what a lovely sight!I think this beautiful Cardinal thought he would find something more interesting on the ground.Another first time, was seeing the Male & Female in our back yard at the same time. My first time seeing the Female Cardinal was on November 19 of 2016, and it exited from my view shortly of 2 weeks before the Male Cardinal came at Easter, so, today was a double & very lovely surprise. My day has been made very special by the presence of these 2 Cardinals."Worth your time to read"Yesterday afternoon I had a wonderful surprise of having several Evening Grosbeaks making their presence at our Bird feeders and picking feed on the ground. It was a lovely sight to see. I have never seen a dark faced , and even part of the upper body that dark before on the Evening Grosbeak, like a few in the pictures I took.I was very surprised to see so many Evening Grosbeaks yesterday, and for a very brief time I saw one Female Cardinal perched up in a tree. I scurried to get my Camera, and when I returned to the window it was gone. I'm hoping that means the Male & Female Cardinal I saw a week ago today are nesting nearby. I'll be watching & waiting. My Sweet Female Cardinal VisitorI was fascinated watching this Mourning Dove, on this very cold day, scrunched with its head, sort of buried in its chest, puffed up to keep warm. I'm seeing the Cardinals more now, so I think the Male & Female Cardinal are possibly spending the Winter with us. It feels my heart with joy. I took this picture yesterday; I never saw the Mrs. yesterday."Winter Starlings" I must say I enjoy all the Birds, but it is always nice to learn of a new Bird traveling through or looking for a new place to nest or rest. The look I got from this Squirrel says, "Whatcha lookin' at?"The Moon is so beautiful this evening, draped in leaves.Love these sweet little Black-capped Chickadees!I took a number of poses of these two Golden Finches yesterday morning. They captured my attention.I took a number of poses of these two Golden Finches yesterday morning. They captured my attention. So happy to see Mr. Cardinal making frequent visits to my backyard.I was also surprised to see Mrs. Cardinal yesterday. I'm loving their visits.I so enjoy the variety of Birds that come to my Feeders in the Backyard, and even perch for a while on the tree branches giving me more opportunity for those so-called sweet poses.Happy, Blessed Thanksgiving, Sparkers!Blessings to you, Spark Friends, on this Thanksgiving Day!So much to be grateful for! Happy Thanksgiving, Everyone!Thanksgiving Day, I was surprised to see many of those beautiful feathered creatures to my Backyard. This is the Male Pine Grossbeak, and the one I call Mr. Cardinal. The Evening Grosbeak gave me many opportunities for pictures on Thanksgiving. The sweet Mrs. Cardinal also came to visit on Thanksgiving Day. Boy, did I ever feel blessed in my Backyard! The sweet little Golden Finch, also graced my Backyard, on Thanksgiving Day.Wishing everyone a healthy and blessed weekend. Keep on Sparking!Just love seeing the beautiful variety of Birds that come to my backyard; center is the Pine Grosbeak with the two Evening Grosbeaks. The Squirrels never seem intimidated by the Birds, where as some Birds will move to another area. They all seem to get along, which makes this Birdwatcher happy.I was surprised this morning, as I was answering my phone, I saw the Male & Female, together on the lightly snow covered ground, about 6 inches apart. I went to get my camera, but when I came back the Male was no where around. I took a few pictures of the Female.Sometimes, it is as if some of the Birds are posing for me, especially when it seems like they are looking straight at the camera. This was another photo I took I took at dusk, of the Male Cardinal. This was one of the Female Cardinal. I'll be on watch tomorrow.A morning surprise in my yard with Mr. & Mrs. Cardinal. I zoomed in as close as I could to get them both in the picture.I did get a picture of Mr. Cardinal alone. And I was also able to get a picture of the pretty Mrs.!She truly is a Cutie! These two Squirrels were having a stare down/showdown, and when they were finished they went after one another and it seems they settle their squabbles quickly.I think Winter is a beautiful Season of the year, but I so much dislike that I have to drive in it. Winter made its big appearance today. At least it was so for me!Living out in the Country, I have a five mile drive to Church, and I took some picture on my 5 mile drive home this morning. The Woods was adorned with the brilliance of the white snow.It seems most of the wild life is hunkering down on this snowy, windy day. I took a picture of one of our Horses who wasn't letting the weather stop him.Mr. & Mrs. Cardinal let me know that they were out and about this morning after I returned home, but shortly after, I did not see them anymore.I have not seen these Cardinals eat from the feeders. I know the previous ones did, and maybe these two have but I haven'r seen them there. Besides filling feeders today I also sprinkled sunflower seeds around a few times but with the continuous snow it gets covered up. I hope I will see them at the Bird feeders. And the sweet little Mrs.! She's so photogenic! One of my very sweet Visitors today, the Black Capped Chickadee! I took several pictures as it changed positions on the same tree limb.Pretty as can be, this sweet little Chickadee!Mr. Cardinal is a very frequent Visitor these days,Mr. Cardinal is a very frequent Visitor these days.On this day, December 8th, 2008, I had breast cancer surgery. I am a Breast Cancer Survivor 10 years today. Thanks be to God!Today I tried to get a picture of Mr. & Mrs. Cardinal while they were both perched on tree branches, but the Mrs. spaced herself too far apart for my camera. Only he showed up in those photos but I did zoom in and got a couple od good photos. They didn't stay long.I think Mr. Cardinal is looking at me.I got two views of Mrs. Cardinal, and not sure now which is the better one until it is posted. This is the one I like. I didn't get many poses from these 2 today. The Third Sunday of Advent, also called Rose Sunday, St. Joseph Mission looked so beautiful.October 8th, 2016, married 50 years ago, October 8, 1966. Where have the years gone?I finally got a picture of Mrs. Cardinal to the left & Mr. Cardinal to the right. At long last, together! Maybe next time it will be a better shot. Before flying away, I got another picture of Mrs. Cardinal. She's so pretty even with a mouthful of seed.I also got a picture of Mr. Cardinal before he flew away. It takes very little for them to disappear.A beautiful day to catch these two Horses enjoying the sunshine.Sometimes, it almost feels like Spring, but we really know Winter has made it's debut, and on December 21st it is official!Just had to capture a picture of this Blue Jay too.If a person is patient enough, and you put some Sunflower seeds in the palm of you hand, you can stand there quietly or call out, "Chick-a-dee-dee!" the Black Capped Chickadee may just land on your shoulder and hand and pick up a seed or two. I know as I've done that before, and many people do that. My Sweet, Darling Visitors stopped by today, and they let me get some pictures. That made me smile! This is Mr. Cardinal, of Course. Here is Sweet & Pretty Mrs. Cardinal.Mr. Cardinal was quite photogenic today.Mrs. Cardinal was perfect in letting me get several pictures today. Sometimes it is difficult to get pictures, but not today. My Sweet, Precious Bobby Boy does not like the camera, but I do manage to take pictures my very sweet Cat.My Special Visitors surprised me again. My Special Visitors surprised me again. The sweet Mr. & Mrs Cardinal were visiting when I got back from Church this morning. In this picture, there were side by side in a tree, but all I see of the Mrs. is her belly & beak as she is on the other side of Mr. Cardinal. They make a pretty pair. It's wonderful to see these Cardinals seem to be very content coming in the backyard to eat, but sometimes they spook quickly. I got some very nice pictures today.I haven't noticed Mr. & Mrs. going to the feeders yet but they are picking up the sunflowers I scatter on the ground.Mrs. Cardinal was busy picking the Sunflower seeds from the snow covered ground.I did manage to get this one picture of the Mr. & Mrs. together on the ground, a bit spaced but my Camera was ab le to cover both of them, the Mrs. on the left and Mr. on the right. My Sister has had a Christmas Tradition for several years now. She makes several loaves of Pumpkin bread and gives them to Family And Friends. It's more delicious than ever this year. I will eat it sparingly!Very busy day with getting ready for Christmas, so I didn't see the Cardinals, but got a couple pretty pictures of a Blue Jay.The Squirrels are usually perfect little Posers for me!My Visitors came by when I returned home from Church today. Mrs. Cardinal did not give me enough time to get her Picture, but it was a different case with Mr. Cardinal. He was looking extraordinarily Handsome today.I never got a chance to take any pictures because I was away from home. Yesterday, Christmas, I took many pictures, as it is something I love to do. Blue Jays to not frighten away easily. Our Church is looking so beautiful with all the Poinsettias. Our Parish Priest With two Children brought up the Baby Jesus to the Manger.Christmas Mass at St. Joseph Mission.Another picture of the Beautiful Mr. Cardinal on Christmas Day.Also taken yesterday, this is three Blue Jays. They were spaced apart on this tree and I was able to zoom them in on my Camera.Had a variety of Visitors today; first my Nephew with his sweet dogs, Satchmo & Koda. After playing in the snow, they were tired.Beautiful Koda!Lovely Satchmo! The not so nice weather did not keep the Cardinals away today.Got two photos of Mrs. Cardinal today, but more of her Mate.My little Christmas tree! These Squirrels are busy bodies. They are quite a big family; or they hang together. One of my Favorite Pictures of Christmas from a few years ago.I always love taking more than one picture, preferably a bunch! Lol!!At that particular time I took three of the Horses.Mr. & Mrs. Cardinal came by today They were as beautiful as ever. This was my very special picture I got of the Mrs. She's so beautiful!Mr. Cardinal looking handsome today. One of my very frequent Visitors, Mr. Cardinal, whom I look for often!Usually, Mr. & Mrs. visit my backyard together these days.My 2 Beautiful Visitors!Second photo's better shot.We got a foot of wet, sticky snow; loved it for pictures.Had so much fun taking pictures today. My Cousin Joe asked me to make him a Snow Angel, si I took my Camera and one of my Angels outside, placed it on the snow and here is as beautiful as ever.It may not look like snow, it almost resembles an Angel in the clouds so here is my second picture. We got about a foot of snow these last couple of days. It can be a bit intimidating to some and not to other, like our Pet Dog Nestle.Thank goodness for the County Plow/Driver who removed the snow. It makes a lot of people happy. It sure is nice to see the sunshine. Some of our sweet feathered Friends.I never tire of Bird watching.I may be snowbound but watching nature makes up for the winter's "cabin fever". Our Nestle truly enjoys her adventures in the snow.Love getting that surprises look from Mr. or Mrs. Squirrel. These Squirrels can be so darn cute!A Friend made this copy of this prayer for me, and it is time to share it again. "Definitely worth sharing"A number of my favorite Guests showed up today, and I was home to enjoy them. The Mrs. Cardinal looking as pretty as ever!Mr. Cardinal was looking for food so I tried not to overdue it with taking his picture. This Golden Finch was looking especially beautiful. One of my favorite little Birds are these sweet little Chickadees. The Blue Jays always give me many opportunities to take their pictures. And these cute little creatures that can be pretty big pests can capture my attention very often. They can be so funny & cute!I loved this pose!I was busy late last night, taking pictures of the Lunar Eclipse. I did take several, as I always want to pick out what I consider the very best. The one I zoomed it less, showed more color of what thay are calling the Wolf Moon. This reminds me of the Blood Red Moon from a couple years ago, in the month of September. As this Lunar eclipse was transitioning back.It seemed the transition took place quickly.I took this picture before seeing the transition taking place. The branches were decorating the moon.Very cold today, in the single digits, in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, but it didn't stop my feathered Friends from visiting the back yard and filling up to try and keep warm. It is already -17 tonight. It wasn't nice weather to be hanging outdoors today, but that is the home to our feathered Friends. Many Golden Finches were hanging around in the backyard today, if not on the ground they were perching on tree branches as well. The Black Capped Chickadees were filling up too. They spent a lot of time on the tree branches as well. The Pine Grosbeak came around as well. They definitely need more nutrition in this cold. Sure am glad I stocked up on sunflower seed. I've been putting out a lot. I had to end up making up a mixture today of suet, using Crisco shortening and peanut butter. Does anyone out there have a recipe? They clean it up pretty fast!It is -23 below this morning, but that doesn't keep away our outdoor Friends. We've had some very cold weather, so this past Sunday night instead of bundling up and going out on the porch with my camera to get some beautiful pictures of the moon, I pulled up the venetian blind and got some lovely shots of what is called the Last Quarter Moon. I love dressing the moon.with leaves & branches.I am fascinated by the beauty of the moon. This is a more plain Last Quarter Moon picture. The beautiful Golden Finches.I took a number of photo shots of the Golden Finches. Even Birds can be photogenic.I just couldn't pass up this Pine Grosbeak which was looking ever so pretty. My favorite of the Pine Grosbeak which was looking ever so pretty. The Deer are having a rough winter, with the brutal cold and snow. The Deer are having a rough winter, with the brutal cold and snow.I think we are getting the kind of winter we haven'y had it seems like for a number of years. A week ago it was extremely cold, and now this week the snow fall seems unending. It's another week of "Cabin Fever".The Birds & Squirrels came around to gather up some food but were around less in the snow & sleet. My precious, sleepy Bobby Boy!He is a Treasure to me!A look out the window on Thursday.Sure will be happy to see spring! We got over a foot of snow yesterday.Even this poor Squirrel is trying to make a trail to his or her food stash.I could not resist this cuteness. The Squirrel is digging a trail. Working hard!I'm in no hurry to get out on the road and drive. I heard that they are in poor condition right now; it's a combination of icy roads and snow drifts.Stopped on my way home from Church on our County Road to take pictures of some Deer crossing the road. I had the road all to myself at the time; it was just me and the Deer.I saw more than usual on my way to and back home from Church this morning. This Deer seemed to be looking toward me.I captured this picture of Mr. & Mrs. Cardinal yesterday afternoon. I love it when I'm able to catch them together, through my kitchen window of course.I got this beautiful white Poinsettia plant from my Cousins for my Birthday in mid December. I decided to bring it to Church, knowing it would last far longer as the Church is kept at 50 degrees most of the time. It is still looking beautiful!Love seeing my beautiful Flowered plant at Church.I stopped near our Barn on my way up to our house, but wanted to get a picture of a few of our animalsToday, and pretty much throughout the week traveling will nit be on my agenda. We got about a foot of snow today. The power went off for a few minutes. I got some pictures of a few of my favorites today.Today, and pretty much throughout the week traveling will nit be on my agenda. We got about a foot of snow today. The power went off for a few minutes. I got some pictures of a few of my favorites today.A lot of snow today, and more in the forecast.Just cleaned up after Tuesday's snowstorm and now another one started tonight. Yikes!Just cleaned up after Tuesday's snowstorm and now another one started tonight. Yikes! It's been quite a winter already.Winter, winter, go away! It won't leave until it's ready & done.Sometimes it does look beautiful!Squirrels didn't mind the snow storm.I just had to get some pictures of the "Snow Moon" from the lunar eclipse. I was expecting more, but regardless, it was lovely to see.I took several pictures trying to get more detail in my pictures. It was very cold out, below zero temps, my poor camera still did a pretty good job for as cold as it was. Snow Moon is fitting for the name.I picked out one more picture from my photos, as I always enjoy dressing up yhe Moon.I caught a moment with my sweet, handsome Mr. Cardinal. He was looking as beautiful as ever.My Bobby Boy, who is shy to the camera. In other words, he does not like his picture taken.Hard to believe that, this past October 2018, my Husband & I have been married for 52 years. Our rescue Dog Nestle, having fun in the snow. the snow. I cannot get over our winter this year. There is no let up. I'm wondering what this cute little critter thinks of it all? I'm quite sure he or she is happy as long as they can find food. That's where I come in. Many time I see them fill up their mouth and carry it off to one of their hiding places, and then come back for more.I see the Squirrels have many tunnels made in the backyard. They are busy! One thing I don't like is when they take over all the feeders. Even though there is a special guard made around the area of the Bird feeders, they figure out how to get up to the feeders. I would never think of not feeding them too. I also scatter sunflower seeds on the ground. Lately with all our snowfall, Birds and Squirrels are having to dig in the snow for some of though seeds. They are busy creatures. .This was the Visitor I was speaking of.Mr. or Mrs. Rabbit looks quite healthy. This seemed to be a content Rabbit.I think someone wanted a little dietary change, which is Sunflower seeds. It's being a llong winter, and Bobby Boy is loving his cat naps!!I couldn't resist taking pictures of this stretching out as much as he or she possibly could to get what he or she wanted. Doing a good leg stretch!I couldn't resist taking pictures of this stretching out as much as he or she possibly could to get what he or she wanted. Doing a good leg stretch!I took some pictures of our little St. Joseph Mission yesterday, as ther weather was nice. As you can see there is plenty of snow surrounding the Church.I had received this White Poinsettia in mid December for my Birthday, so after receiving it, the following Sunday I brought it to our Church. I knew the heat in our house would have been the ruin of it. Well, here it was March 1st on yesterday, and it is still looking lovely.Tomorrow is the beginning of the Lenten Season.I just had to show this darling picture I downloaded on my Computer today, that I took two days ago. This Female Cardinal is just so cute! This may be a way to burn more calories as we eat. I must admit it does not look very comfortable. I think it would be hard to swallow in that position. Lol! It works for the Squirrel though. He or she is determined to eat from these feeders, If they find they can get to every feeder the Squirrels overtake them, so I try to put enough feed in what I designate as their feeding area.Mr. & Mrs. Cardinal are pretty much visitors on a daily basis. They usually are not that far away from one another. This happen to be a picture I took through the blinds. My sweet baby, Bobby Bobby! The horses like to go in the lean to during the summer to get away from the annoying flies and gnats.I was not feeling comfortable with the thought of venturing outside on the ice. Until it melts away that is what we have, and it is treacherous. It is hard to keep your balance when you're on a slippery slope. I was so glad I found my TRACKING Walkers, Wow! They are wonderful. I bought these at Tradehome Shoes a number of years ago.I really gave them teir first real trial of wear this afternoon. I paid $20. for mine. What a great investment for times like these. It was very foggy today, but it didn'y stop me from taking a few pictures I wanted, like the one of this Nuthatch. This poor Squirrel sure looks like the weather took a toll on him or her.Mr. & Mrs. Cardinal visiting together. I love that! It can be difficult getting a very good picture, as I have to keep myself as well hidden as possible. It's far easier with some birds. Some are quite challenging.I took a few pictures of this Golden Finch, who seemed to enjoy eating from this Feeder.I was trying to get a picture of a water drop from an icicle with the Sun setting behind the trees. I finally managed to get a couple pictures of the water drop. There is a lot of ice that still needs to come off the roof of our house.I hope this ice slides off of the roof of our house soon. My Husband tried to get it loosened this afternoon but it would nor budge.Usually my sweet Bobby Boy shuts his eyes when I take pictures of him, or he squints, but this afternoon he did me the honor of showing me his beautiful eyes.It was a beautiful 2nd day of Spring.Looking forward to hearing and seeing the Robins, and of course the green grass and the budding trees. It is too early for that yet. This is a picture I took last year.I got some lovely pictures of the moon these last couple of nights.Thursday night, there were clouds and blue sky surrounding the moon, along with some tree branches giving it more decor.I took this photo this morning, and it was looking like this Woodpecker had a beak not looking, I guess you could call very aged. After downloading the picture and getting the best look possible at it, I see there is feathers above the beak looking like a mustache. I've never seen that before, and it gives a fine look to this Bird. The Moon was in all its splendor Saturday night.I truly am fascinated by the changing appearances of the moon from day to day, and of course I'm never satisfied with one shot.I think someone is telling me they're hungry.I get the feeling I'm being shown I can put out more food, and I'm prepared! We had a couple of Bunnies in our Backyard this morning. They looked so content.Of course, as long as I get an opportunity to get another pose I go for it!One of our Horses enjoying the nice spring day. Snow has been melting at a steady pace. One of my favorite little Birds, the Black-Capped Chickadee.I had a most beautiful surprise this morning. I have not seen Mr. & Mrs. Cardinal since March 16th, but there they were this morning together in our backyard. What a lovely sight. I was only able to get pictures with the venetian blinds pulled down, as they were in that position. If I had tried to raise it, they would have flown away. I took several pictures through the the spaces of the blinds. I hope to get some better pictures when I should see them next. One or two pictures is not enough of these beautiful Birds.I sure enjoyed their unexpected visit.I just had to take a few pictures of the two Bunnies coming into our backyard.I guess they will continue coming as long as they have the sunflower seeds to feast on.I managed to take a number of pictures of this Black-Capped Chickadee that seemed to enjoy perching on this one particular tree.On Thursday, I was so thrilled to see Mr. & Mrs. Cardinal again and took several pictures through the venetian blinds. They gave come into the backyard these last two days also, but I was not able to get any pictures. They spook easily. The ground was covered with snow Friday morning, and I got a picture of this Junco.I've had some awesome visitors in my backyard lately, and loving it!I'll never tire of these most welcome Guests. So happy to seeing Mr.& Mrs. Cardinal on a daily basis lately, so I'm enying their company while they're in my backyard. The Dark Eyed Junco is truly a beautiful Bird. I've been hearing much beautiful melodies of Birds. It truly feels like Spring when you hear their happy song. The picture of the Junco looks distorted so I need to honor them with a better picture to do them justice.Must not forget the Squirrels!Isn't she Beautiful?Mrs. CardinalWinter has decided to come back, at least for awhile!Everyone is trying to get their fair share of sunflower seeds.I so love photographing Nature.Mrs. CardinalMr. Cardinal.I'm not sure if this is a Sparrow. Could someone tell me?One of my little Favorites, the Chickadee. One of My frequent Visitors, Mrs. CardinalA bit of a scrawny looking Deer sharing the hay bale with one of our horses. It has gotten easier for the deer now since the snow has been melting well. We had quite a winter.Deer did seem content eating on the hay bale.I took this picture yesterday of this particular Deer eating in the woods, from our backyard. The picture from the hay bale was this Sunday morning. Many times, they come up into the backyard to eat the sunflower seeds. They even visit the feeders during the night. The Sweet Mrs. Cardinal!I definitely won't leave out the Handsome Mr. Cardinal.Visitors to my backyardVisitors to my backyardA sunny Bunny morning from a couple days ago. A warm sunshiny day helped to rid us of much snow.Pictures of this Bunny yesterday, as the snow has been melting away nicely. This Bunny seemed to be enjoying yesterday's sunny, warm day. This Bunny seemed to be enjoying yesterday's sunny, warm day.Beautiful surprise, early this afternoon! I thought possibly our beautiful Visitors, Mr. & Mrs. Cardinal might have left the area. I gor a couple of special pictures, especially this one,They were looking lovely!Mrs. Cardinal looking so cute with that tuft on her head.I think he may have been preparing food for her. This Turkey came in to our yard last evening with a number of his followers. He truly was showing us his plumage.I got many views of Mr. Turkey.Mr. Cardinal came by yesterday too.Mr. Cardinal gave me an opportunity to take several pictures yesterday. Finally I got to actually see my first Robin and get pictures on Monday of this week. I love listening to their cheerful melody that they sing.Another picture of Mr. or Mrs. Robin.I don't know why, but these Texas Squirrels look so9 much different from our Upper Michigan Squirrels. I've never had one look at me like this. Quite funny!I got another look. I guess they were posing for me. Just maybe! My Sister and I grow closer Day by Day.This Squirrel was playing a game of Cat & Squirrel with my Cat. My Bobby Boy was not acting interested. I did encourage the Squirrel to leave the porch . It seems he or she likes living dangerously....ALMOST in my Cat's face!Bobby Boy didn't seem interested at all with the Squirrel playing a tantalizing game. This is one of my most favorite Birds, the beautiful Female Cardinal. I love seeing Mr. & Mrs.Cardinal coming regularly into my backyard. It seems they've made their home nearby. A Baltimore OrioleI got many pictures of the Baltimore Oriole last year, and many times they are picking at the sunflower seeds. They are a beautiful bird.I did not have out the feeders that they drink from at the time of these pictures . They will drink from the hummingbird feeders as well. This was a Hummingbird Feeder that the Oriole drank from, but I had the feed that was made for the Orioles. I think for all these birds that drink from feeders, it is best to non colored sugar water. They will drink it.Such a lovely surprise this evening Mr. Indigo stayed around for a while, giving me an opportunity to some pictures. He is gorgeous! And Mr. Cardinal came around today.Mr. Oriole Showed up this evening too. Also the pretty Finches came to the Feeders as well.Mrs. Cardinal too!I got this close up of the Indigo Bunting Tuesday evening.I'm wondering if this is a very young Bird, and have no clue about it. I love the coloring. Does anyone know the name of this Bird?I got some very good photos of this Baltimore Oriole. Here is another picture of the bird I'm questioning. It's so cute! The Indigo Bunting is enjoying my backyard, and is making it so easy for me to get pictures, and I'm loving it!The Golden Finches are very frequent visitors to the back yard. The Indigo Buntings don't usually stay around very long. Maybe this year will be different. I've only seen one.Memorial Day is a special day to remember those who have fought for our freedoms. being a member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary, every year I take pictures at the three cemeteries we go to.Never forget those who have fought for our freedoms and the many who have died to keep our Country free.and the Taps...Yes,@MNABOY, we do get Baltimore Orioles. Here is a picture I took recently. I thought I should show you a picture of one at the Bird Feeder.I managed to spot this Robin catching himself some food. I think with the rain lately there are plenty of worms available.I love when I hear those Robins chirping.I was wondering if the Indigo Buntings are gone from the area but this one surprised me. I will continue feeding the birds but bringing in the feeder by late evening. I don't want the bear who maybe not far away to be tempted to come in the backyard.A Chipmunk and two Squirrels filling their little bellies.Getting a pretty pose from Mr. Blue Jay.A busy Chipmunk! So happy to still see this visitor to my backyard. I finally got a good snap shop of the Humming Bird. Believe me, it takes a lot of patience to get a picture. They fly off so fast. I think they are camera shy too, IF they spot you!I really like this picture I captured, left to right, of the Rose Breasted Grosbeak, the Indigo Bunting & the Golden Finch. I love their colors!I think Squirrels like living dangerously, at this particular moment, this one. I went in the house to get my camera when I saw him scurry up the power pole.Just had to zoom in on this Squirrel. I had filled up the feeders, so it didn't take him long to come down.I was zooming in on this Bird, trying to figure out if it was a Robin. Their were Robins near by that area but the coloring on the back looks like a grayish color, and id it looks a bit puffed out for a Robin. The sun was shinging brightly so I felt it may have been shining so brightly on the back of the bird changing the color. Does any one have an idea on what Bird this might be?There are a lot of these wild flowers blooming now, I call them wild lilies. They dress up the woods nicely. The weather is pleasant right now. Our temperature is cool enough that the flies, gnats and other bugs aren't irritating them...YET!Could not resist this cuteness!Could not resist this cuteness!Starlings are one of the Birds that chase the other Birds away but thank goodness the other Birds keep coming and get to the feeders too.I took this picture of a Coyote, during the winter a few years ago. I took it from my kitchen window with my Canon Zoom lens camera. I thought the face resembles the Fox who I thought looked like a Coyote. They have some of the same features. My sweet Bobby Boy usually closes his eyes to the camera; sometimes I catch him with his eyes open. This is a very determined to get at this particular squirrel proof feeder. Ya! Right! Ha! Ha!A determined Squirrel doesn't give up!The Rose Breasted Grosbeaks are still coming to the Backyard. The male Rose Breasted grosbeak is the colorful, and beautiful Bird. You probably know by now that the female Birds are the plain Jane's. I'm seeing Hummingbirds more often. It takes a lof patience & sneakiness to get their picture. It takes so little movement, and especially with the camera to disturb them. Even though this picture that was taken Wednesday evening. it does show the beautiful color, as I got a side view. Today I purchased 8 potted plants so they should like that as well as the feeder.I'm seeing Hummingbirds more often. It takes a lof patience & sneakiness to get their picture. Today I purchased 8 potted plants so they should like that as well as the feeder.Does anyone know the name of this flying insect? I took a few pictures, trying to get the best one possible.I don't know what this Squirrel may have been trying to tell me in this picture. He was doing a stretching exercise, I think! Lol!This is a picture I took of the Hummingbird Hawk Moth last year,on June 10th. Yesterday, I took pictures of it, totally forgetting I inquired about it last year. I actually got some very nice pictures of it in comparison to yesterday.I did not get zoomed in to the Hummingbird Hawk last year as I did yesterday. It sure looks like a beauty for a Moth. And this was a photo I took last evening, certainly not as delicate as last year's pictures.I feel like I'm being entertained by the beautiful Hummingbirds. It's not easy getting a still picture of them. I bought a red colored Feeder yesterday at Tractor Supply. I never use the red food coloring but a mixture of sugar and water.I feel like I'm being entertained by the beautiful Hummingbirds. It's not easy getting a still picture of them. I never use the red food coloring but a mixture of sugar and water.I think many of us have our not so pleasant moments with Squirrels, when they are doing something destructive to our property, or overtaking the Bird feeders, but there are good moments and funny moments we have with them too. I get some of the cutest pictures, and some comical ones too.Nestle, our adopted Dog from the Animal shelter loves the outdoors so much, and today the temperature was in the 70's with a lovely breeze, so she enjoyed the day.It was a beautiful day for Nestle, our adopted Dog from the Animal Shelter to enjoy the pleasant temperature, which was in the 70's with a pleasant breeze throughout the day. This Squirrel was giving me "that look"!Having fun trying to catch pictures of the Ruby-Throated Hummingbird. They seem to be faster than a streak of lightening.I'm not sure this picture is any clearer than the other, as when the Humming bird is propelling its wings, it can mess up the picture.I sometimes have a soft spot in my heart for these devilish little Characters.I must admits, the Squirrels catch my attention often. This is why I keep a chain over the roof of this Feeder, because these little Characters know how to slide it off, so I try to keep it secure, otherwise they would have it emptied out quickly. "Little Stinkers!"This is the Culprit of course. Lol!I noticed that besides the white wild flowers that grow in the woods around us in the Summer, finally the lilac colored ones came out this week. It's a beautiful decor for the woods.Of course, I always take more than one picture, because I want to get a best shot if possible. I took the pictures from my Living room window, as it was raining out and I zoomed in on the flowers. This lovely pink cloud caught my attention last evening.I could not resist zooming in on this beautiful pink cloud.Just had to get a picture of a Butterfly on one of my Flower pots. Our sweet Nestle whom we adopted a few years ago from the Animal Shelter. We let her roam freely around our home. She is very good about staying in the yard.I have not taken any pictures of Mr. & Mrs Cardinal since May 21st. This particular photo I took was on May 18th. They were perching on a tree branches behind where my Bird feeders hang.Enjoying God's Beautiful Gift of Nature.I caught a certain Someone with his mouth open.It was raining when I took this picture. I was enjoying it, as it was free from stormy weather, what I call a gentle rain.My Nephew's Dog likes to get in the driver's seat. I think he's hints he wantsd to go for another ride. Lol!This was how hot it got, in my neck of the woods, in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan yesterday. It looks like today it will be a repeat. It's shortly after 10 in the morning and it is already 81 degrees. yesterday in the afternoon it was 102. It was a steaming hot day!Devil's Tower in Wyoming. Before I zoomed in with my camera this morning, on this furry little creature, I thought it was a cat coming around to visit my Bobby Boy. My camera has shown me the truth about many things. It was nice to see this sweet little rabbit hanging aroundLate this afternoon my husband had called me outside to show me something. Of course I had my camera and could not ignore this pretty Butterfly on a Wildflower. It stayed with the one flower for quite awhile, so I took the opportunity to take several pictures. Many poses of this Butterfly. It was entertaining me.Always trying to get a better picture than the last.My Husband took our sweet Nestle to the Groomers on Thursday. I'm sure she enjoyed being fussed on. Nestle is our Pet we got from the animal shelter a couple years ago.My Husband took our sweet Nestle to the Groomers on Thursday. I'm sure she enjoyed being fussed on. Nestle is our Pet we got from the animal shelter a couple years ago.Yesterday I had an opportunity to get a few pictures taken. I'm looking forward to sitting in what I call my Serenity Room when it is completed. So looking forward to that, and with the perfect view for my feathered Friends. By the way, my Husband saw a Cadinal perched on one of our fences a couple days ago. This is a picture of a Northern Flicker.I took a few pictures of Nestle a few days ago, and this one looks comical. I don't know if she had a twitch going on that looked like she might be growling but she wasn't. Our sweet Nestle! This Northern Flicker & this Blue Jay were viewing the area at the top of a White Birch Tree with very bare branches and it looked like the Blue Jay was squawking at something.Just returned from a two day Pilgrimage with our Parish Priest and other Parishioners late Friday evening. I returned home with numerous photo memories. This is just one of them.Picture of the Church in Assinins, Michigan of the Most Holy Name of Jesus.I could not resist taking this picture of this cute Squirrel. I love the coloring changes that are beginning to happen with the trees & brush, and then the color changes that happen with some of the animals.Soon I will have some new areas for hanging my Bird feeders. So anxious to have my dear Nephew do this for me. As of now this is my only feeding area. Again I love these color changes. It looks so pretty with this Blue Jay.I was fascinated with this picture of the leaves, with the one outstanding red leaf among the green leaves.A Sunflower seed that self planted with the help of Birds or Squirrels.I get quite fascinated by the moon, and like to get pictures of the leaves on a tree framing it.The Moon got my attention....again, as beautiful as ever!Loving the part of dressing up that moon! Many beautiful coverings for the moon this night.Mr & Mrs. Cardinal made paid a lengthy visit to the Bird Feeder yesterday. They are two little Love Birds!I'm trying to pick out the pictures of him feeding her. It's hard to tell in the photo files as the picture there is so very small. It's such a pleasure to see the Cardinals back.I will be photographing Mr. & Mrs. Cardinal as often as I can, as long as they visit my backyard.I will be photographing Mr. & Mrs. Cardinal as often as I can, as long as they visit my backyard.Mr. Cardinal stayed in this pose for the longest time. Captured many pictures of him.Mr. Cardinal seeming content perched on a branch.Enjoying this fall season with the daily visits of a number of our feathered Friends. I'm thinking that this is a baby Cardinal as the features in the face look like it is very young. Mr. Cardinal was in the area close by and the Mrs does not have those baby features. What do you think? This was another picture I got with only Mr. Cardinal's tail feathers and I believe that is the baby below. This is Mrs. Cardinal.I just love seeing these Cardinals making themselves at home. The Blue Jays take over the bird feeder at every opportunity.I love my incoming visitors to my lone Feeder until my Nephew gets my new feeding areas set up. The Blue Jays and Chipmunks monopolize it the most, so when the others can, they gather at the Feeder. The Blue Jays are a greedy bunch!I have notseen any Squirrels in quite some time, so maybe the population of them in the area has went down due to predators, but their are thesr little Chipmunks who are filling in for them it seems.I did like this particular picture I got of the Blue Jay in the Maple Tree in our yard yesterday.I get pictures of the Cardinal Family as much as possible. Of course this is Mr. Cardinal.I believe this is the Yellow Shafted Woodpecker. I've seen it more on the ground, but does come to the Bird feeders too. This is a full view of the Flicker. Our sweet rescue Dog Nestle. She is definitely a country Dog. She loves the outdoors and her freedom.YIKES!! I don't know how I screwed up last night and said my Anniversary was October 7th. My Wedding Anniversary is October 8th, but my Sister's Birthday is October 7th. This Picture was taken on my Husband's and my Wedding Day on October 8, 1966. "Feeling Blessed"Such a beautiful Fall day today. I so enjoy these Sunshine Days.I happened to look out my Kitchen window, and noticed at the Bird feeder, on both sides of the feeder are 2 Chipmunk tails, but I was only able to get a picture of one whole Chipmunk. When I tried to step out the door and get a full picture the little Chipmunk took off. This is a Nuthatch visiting one of my Bird feeders. It's nice to see them around.I'm always fascinated, when I have an opportunity in dressing up the moon.A contented Blue Jay.It has been a while since I've seen one of these cuties around; they can be quite entertaining.I just had to share this picture of these 2 Raven s. I thought this picture is beautiful!I love these visits from Mrs. Cardinal I'm so glad that both Mr. & Mrs. Cardinal are hanging around, even though they are out numbered and chased from the sidelines by a bunch of greedy Blue Jays.Mr. Cardinal doesn't stray far from his sweet Mrs.Mrs. Cardinal perched in the branchesThe beautiful Slate-colored Junco.I haven't seen any Squirrels for a long, long time. They can be annoying when they overtake all the Bird feeders, but now they are only able to get to this feeder; the other feeders are Squirrel proof. The ones who are the most annoying are the Blue Jays. They go to every feeder, and this feeder they like to empty first. I feel especially for the Cardinals, as right now their favorite seems to be at this feeder and the ground around it. Happy to see the Squirrels againIt seems Mr. Squirrel may have a handful of sunflower seeds and he's filling up.Mrs. Cardinal as cute as ever. She likes this feeder too! They all seem to like this feeder, so I keep it as full as I can. My three other feeders I have out are not being used as much. So happy to see Mr. Cardinal hanging around.I just love the pictures I have of this Common Redpoll. What a darling little Bird!I just had to show another view of it too. The Common Redpoll is such a cute Bird!My Husband took me for a ride yesterday on our property. I took my camera with me and enjoyed the beauty in the woods. I particularly loved being able to capture the beauty of this Deer. After this snapshot, I zoomed in closer. My Husband took me for a ride yesterday on our property. I took my camera with me and enjoyed the beauty in the woods. I particularly loved being able to capture the beauty of this Deer. After this snapshot, I zoomed in closer. I zoomed in closer to capture the beauty in her face.A special visitor to my yard today, then actually another rabbit came along but I couldn't get s picture of them together. It's always nice to see those cute bunnies coming around.A sweet little Black-capped Chickadee visiting one of my Bird feeders.A visiting Blue Jay to my back yard.I don't think this cute little Critter was happy to see this nasty snow storm either. Poor Baby!I had to try and get a full picture of Mr. Squirrel. He's really working hard to get to the "SQUIRREL PROOF" Feeders, and he does not only eat from the feeder meant for him. He takes what he can get.
I got a few pictures of his climbing the metal pole feeder through a screened window. He doesn't give up easily.

Mr. Squirrel doesn't give up easily.Mr. Squirrel doesn't give up!As the one Slate-Colored Junco was taking flight, the other one seemed ever so content. I have always seen these Slate-Colored Juncos as a beautiful little Bird.Scenes of Winter can be ever so beautiful to look at but the effects of it are not the best, and one of the worst is the driving conditions. When I hear of the many accidents due to winter conditions I want to just stay around home. I becomes very stressful at times, with the roads being snow-covered, icy and rutty; it's definitely not good for travel.Happy to see some of my feathered Friends & furry Friends around on this snowy day. This is such a cute little woodpeckerI took some pictures of some of my little visitors to the yard after our snow fall.Love all my frequent visitors.I love this little tree I bought at Walmart just last week. I put a couple of extra items on it, and then I bought a little miniature tree yesterday. A lighting in it changes color, which puts a glow on the bigger tree. I actually bought a few items that are under and around the tree. I don't have a lot of space so this is so perfect for me. I'm so feeling the Spirit of Christmas.I turned the lights off in the room to set the glow on the Christmas tree, and the items I placed around it.I could not get over this very determined Squirrel that climbed up the metal shepherd's hook and cleaned up the feeder. He evidently climbed up after a number of tries. I took pictures of a Squirrel attempting this a few weeks ago, and before he could make it up all the way on the metal, he would slide all the way down, But, HE NEVER GAVE UP! The Determined SquirrelHe now has mastered his way of getting up on that feeder so he will definitely be up on this "Squirrel Proof Feeder" again! Can't get over how it is suppose to be squirrel proof! This was a picture that I took recently when we had a snow storm and the this determined squirrel never quit, and finally made it to the feeder.I think they're Adorable!I believe she senses that someone is watching her.I'm hoping these Deer don't have a rough Winter. Winter has started earlier this year.I never get tired of Squirrels, even the very pesty & testy ones. One of my little feathered Friends.Blue Jays are very frequent visitors to the Bird feeders. To have the power go out due to an ice & snow mix does not have to be a day of no fun. It broke the monotony of not being able to do the household chores that require electricity.Mr. & Mrs. Cardinal are showing me they are in the Community. I feel badly for them when the Blue Jays chase them out. There is plenty of food to go around.Mrs. Cardinal was on a snowy tree limb and just had to get some pictures of her, but of course she had a tree limbat the side of her face. It's so nice to see this Cardinal pair together. I tend to believe that it is the same couple who came here in November of 2018 anf has shown up periodically through the year of 2019 and is still making themselves at home. Most of the pictures I took of them yesterday were separate. Sometimes they are just spaced too far apart.A Rabbit was hungry too.Let's not forget the Squirrels. This was a visitor to one of our Bird feeders on December 29th, when we had freezing drizzle on top of snow. I was not aware until I came back in from outdoor, I had my boots on because of snow. I was slippinp off my boot and putting on my shoes, and I had been wearing one Sketcher and one Clark Wave and didn't even feel the difference. Glad I was home! Lol! I didn't look at the shoes I had slipped on my feet until I had come back in the house. I was wearing them for an hour or to before. Too funny! One of my back yard visitors TuesdayAnother view of my cute little visitor, I believe it's a Sparrow. And of course I wouldn't forget this hungry Squirrel.A big pain in the butt! I don't mind them picking from the ground like the Rabbits do, but not cleaning out a fully filled feeder. The sweet Female Cardinal.A very snowy weekend. We definitely couldn't walk down or up the porch steps. It was snowed in from outside as well to get to that porch. Thank goodness my Nephew made side rails otherwise it would be very dangerous to tread. My Very Sweet Visitor, the Female Cardinal. This is looking out one of our windows. You can see how high the snow is.I had to make some noise for quite a while today, as those turkeys take over EVERYTHING they can. They are like a vacuum cleaner. The feeder gets cleaned out so fast and that is too costly. I will not stop feeding my Bird visitors. "A Turkey Trio"! Lol!"A Turkey Loner" The Beautiful Male Cardinal also came by today. I'm so glad the Mr. & Mrs. did not let the Turkeys intimidate them. This is a picture of a Blue Jay and Mrs. Cardinal that I took today when they were looking at one another.Mr. Cardinal making his way through the snow. All seems cool between Mrs. Cardinal and the Blue Jay.I got some beautiful pictures of Mr. & Mrs Cardinal today. Here's the Mrs.!I really love this photo shot! And of course Mr. Cardinal! They gave me ample opportunity to get pictures of them, and I did just that!Another favorite I got of Mrs. Cardinal in the snow.Oh yes! And those very annoying Turkeys! They would eat up every thing if you didn't chase them away from time to time.If they don't fly up in the trees they just walk into the woods in our back yard.If any of you have heard about the blue Jays taking over the feeders and chasing the other Birds our, well believe me, it is much worse with the Turkeys, and they are persistent. Your Feeders empty out pretty fast when they can easily reach the feed. They have outworn their welcome.I'm happy to see that Mr. & Mrs. Cardinal came to visit in my backyard today even though the turkeys overtook the feeders many times.Mrs. Cardinal looking her usual pretty self!Ms. Cardinal in one of her cute little poses. I like the way she sort of turns her head.I so love having these Birds hanging around, so I want to feed them well. I've had to clear the way for the Birds to get to the feeders when the turkeys take over. Believe me, they keep coming back after short exits. They circle back. They eat a lot. Some of my favorite visitors and some who outwear their welcome. speaking of the Turkeys. I'll just have to put up with them as I continue to put feed out. I won't stop feeding many of those precious creatures. And another rabbit happened to come by too. It's always nice to see the the variety of birds, some more passive and others a bit aggressive, that the birds who get pushed aside keep coming back.Oh so cute!A lot of ice & snow coming off our garage & house today.. Can be very hazardous.Unbelievable the ice & snow on the roof off our house. So happy it slid off today. In our back yard it knocked down the feeders on the Shepherds hook and they ended up near the edge of the woods. Dangerous!I'm happy to say there is rarely a day that goes by that I don't see Mr. & Mrs. Cardinal.
I will not quit feeding my feathered Friends because of the overly greedy Turkeys.Love seeing these Birds in my Backyard.I've shared this before, but I'll share it again.Ms. Cardinal, I love her visiting my backyard, and nice when her mate, Mr, Cardinal is by her side.A picture I took yesterday of my female visitor.I feel at times partial to having Mr. & Mrs. Cardinal coming yo my backyard, but I love seeing the variety of Birds who come into my backyard to eat. The ones who are annoying are those wild turkeys who mess all over and eat up what's out there quickly!Lol! This picture is of a few Blue Jays and a Woodpecker.I love seeing the Rabbits coming too. They make a habit of coming around."Ms. Cardinal"I think someone is "seriously" hungry!I guess they're keeping an eye on each other, or so it seems! Sweet Ms. CardinalI enjoy capturing the moon adorned by de'cor with tree branches."On a cold winter night"Mr. Cardinal, a frequent visitor to my backyard.Nestle, our sweet rescue Dog. She loves the outdoors and loves the snow.My Nephew Joe had to tell me about this new visitor to our backyard. If you aren't able to identify it, it's a Pigeon. You don't ordinarily see Pigeons out in the Country. It sure is a colorful Bird, with pretty markings.I took several pictures of the Pigeon. I think it may be a Red-Billed Pigeon from pictures in a bird book. I wanted to get a close up.I didn't feel like I could be positive what Pigeon this might be. A guessing game for me. Lol!Some people need to see this message.Love this message and the footprints Medallion.I think these three Squirrels felt they had reservations at all three feeders. Lol!I think these three Squirrels felt they had reservations at all three feeders. Lol!I love this weather forecaster. I feel it was a good investment and it is accurate.I love this weather forecaster. I feel it was a good investment and it is accurate.I some times feel like the Blue Jays are posing for mr.I just couldn't resist!I love photographing pictures of the beautiful sky. It's unbelievable what we get to capture in that sky.I've been having a few car problems. A few days ago my Husband went to a local service garage and when the mechanic lifted up he car hood and saw a good sized hole a squirrel had made in my air filter, and I guess he sort of made himself a bed as there was material stuffed in it. This Squirrel looks like he is praying. I hope he's praying about being a better visitor to my Bird feeders. "Stay out of my Car!! PLEASE!!The Blue Jays are very frequent visitors. I'm looking forward to seeing Birds migrating. My Camera is ready!Always love seeing these sweet little Chickadees!I always love seeing these sweet little Chickadees. Some Squirrels daily exercise routine! Some Squirrels prefer to eat right side up.A StarlingGot a couple of nice pictures of the Starling!Seeing some Red-Winged Blackbirds, in our back yard, at the feeders now.I took a few pictures of the Red-Winged Blackbird, trying to get that red in their wings to show up, didn't show up much if at all in some pictures.Didn't want to pass up the persistent Squirrel at the Feeders.Igot a few close ups. I just couldn't resist! This is suppose to be a Squirrel proof Feeder. What a Joke! Lol!Looking for a better picture of the Red-winged Blackbird, and found one from May 2018 that shows the red in at least one of the of the birds in the flock, in our back yard, a combination of Starlings and Red-winged Blackbirds.I hope this picture shows enough clarity. Last week I took this picture. My Husband pointed it out to me and told me there has been a satellite hovering around trees in the back woods by our house. I took this picture.A picture of a beautiful but a mischievous Bird is the Starling. They are good at intimidating other Birds and overtaking the Bird Feeders when they are around. The Squirrel doing his cool down after his high & mighty exercise. This is what we call stretches. This Cute little Rabbit reminds me of that song, "Here Comes Peter Cottontail." I think his backside with his cottontail was a must to show you. I couldn't resist!I'm thinking these are starlings but until I get the picture bigger on the community feed I cant be sure. One of my Favorite pictures I took in 2018 in April. I believe because of the coloring , they are a Common Redpoll. I took several pictures during that time period.Such beautiful little Birds! Two female Deer walking up the road, in the front of our houseThis picture I took of one of the Does looked like a painting. On Easter Sunday it began snowing about 3 in the afternoon and continued throughout the night ending sometime earlier this morning. This is what it looked like, and in some areas of our yard I stuck a yard stick in the snow and it was nearly 15 inches or more of fresh heavy snow. I believe saying we had a foot of fresh snow is accurate.A lot of snow falling from Easter Sunday afternoon into Monday morning. Thank goodness it began melting this Monday afternoon. Believe me I felt a bit snowed in, but I guess that is okay because I can't go anywhere anyways. Lol!The ground had been bare in our yard early yesterday, but once the snow started....Yikes!!I definitely had to wear boots outside today.I took this picture early Sunday evening of these two female Deer trying to figure out where they wanted to go, which ended up deeper into the woods. This was, a then good start, of our snowstorm, Easter Sunday afternoon.I had some hungry visitors in my backyard today. If they had noticed me, they would not have stayed around for a while. So glad they made themselves at home.A year ago, on April 19th, I took this picture of Mr. & Mrs. Cardinal. I have not seen them for well over a few weeks now. I'm hoping to see them some time soon.I will really feel like spring has come when those traveling Birds who only frequent our area in mid to late April and a part of May. Many passing through last year.I took this picture of this who happened to make a visit in our yard on April 21 2019.It looks like Mr. Turkey was possibly entertaining a Ms. Maybe! It does seem like they were spending some Quality time together. Lol!I'm pretty sure in this picture, there is a Chickadee trapped inside the feeder. The Chickadee is small enough to go into one of the feeding holes, and then it tries to get out. It really isn't a practical feeder for a few reasons. I had to release a Chickadee a couple of times that week. I kept an eye on the feeder to make sure it had enough bird seed so they couldn't get into that hole. Poor babies! The poor little Chickadee is like saying, "Hey, don't you see me? Get me out of here!"I took a few different views of this Bird. I looked it up in a bird book as I wasn't sure of what Bird it was. It is a White Crowned Sparrow.I took a few different views of this Bird. I looked it up in a bird book as I wasn't sure of what Bird it was. It is a White Crowned Sparrow. The Squirrel had to pose for some pictures for me, as he feels he wants to earn what he eats Lol!Such a cute face!I believe this is a White-Crowned Sparrow. I took a number of pictures, admiring its beauty. Do you notice a small yellow marking by the eye area? I'm not sure if this picture shows it well. Such a darling little bird! I looked in a Bird book and there are many types of Sparrows. The male is always the more colorful Bird. The female Birds are always the plain Jane's. It certainly isn't true of the female Cardinal. I'm sure you haven't forgotten her beauty. I'm looking forward to seeing the Cardinals again. I believe I haven't seen them at least since February.Another little Sparrow.I just had to take a picture of the Grackle too. I'm trying to let them know that they are pretty too. I got some beautiful moon pictures last night.I get fascinated with the moon and also with sunsets when I get the chance to get pictures. This precious sweet Bird is a Yellow/ Golden Finch.. So pretty a face!I finally saw my first Robin of the year today. Of course, I took many photos!I never realized there are many different sparrows. This one is called a Chipping SparrowI never realized there are many different sparrows. They're back! Some of my feathered Friends!"So Happy to see these birds returning even though it's just until they're ready to move on.Have you ever noticed that some of the Birds, the male is gorgeously handsome, and the female is a "Plain Jane"? as you can see here with the Baltimore Oriole. The Orioles hung around for a good part of the day. I took may pictures of my Visitors. I'm keeping watch to see the Indigo Buntings and the Cardinals. Mr. & Mrs. Cardinal have been missing since earlier this year.My Sweet Feathered Visitors hung around all day today, sometimes having to wait awhile to get to their favorite feeder because every feeder is a favorite of the Squirrels as long as they contain food.I got better pictures today of the Rose-Breasted Grosbeak perched in a tree. It was a beautiful day of taking pictures.I don't know why Mr. or Mrs. Squirrel decided to scrunch up and eat in such close quarters as there was all kinds of food in the feeder.. Lol!I even got some pretty pictures of the Grackle today. These Birds do get camera shy too, but when they fly away, they come back, which makes me happy. It was a beautiful day in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and for some reason there were less of my beautiful visitors around. It was a beautiful day in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and for some reason there were less of my beautiful visitors around. It was a beautiful day in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and for some reason there were less of my beautiful visitors around. The sweetest Cat ever! That's my Bobby Boy!Mr. Rose-Breasted GrosbeakMr. Baltimore Oriole, with his pose!Mr. Baltimore OrioleThe Red-Winged Blackbirds are in the area right now, and showing their colorful markings.A very, very warm day today, but with a nice breezeI can't even remember back ever seeing geese out in our Field. I hear flocks of geese flying over though. I got some pictures yesterday of two pair. It's always nice to see wildlife around.A small block filled with prayers, given to me by a dear Friend of mine. The Squirrels in Quarentine. The Squirrels seem to rule. Hmmm! Some beautiful surprises in my backyard mostly today and a few yesterday. Last evening it was the Indigo Bunting that showed up, and here I was beginning to think I was not going to see that Beautiful Bluebird this year. I was so wrong!I'm hoping to show you the picture with the most clarity, but when I'm seeing a very small picture I really can't tell. I hope this picture is clearer.Today I saw a Bird that I've only seen on film, computer or Bird book. This is a Red-Headed Woodpecker, and a beautiful Bird I must say.I took different views of this Beautiful Woodpecker.I never had my camera handy when I saw this Bird from the back but I was admiring the markings. The Baltimore Oriole was back when I put out the Hummingbird feeder today. but never got a picture there but did of it nibbling on an orange.Remembering those Soldiers who have served and are no longer with us.Then the Taps are played. The weather has been much, much warmer than usual these past few days, at 89 degrees, in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I think this may be the kind of weather for a super crop of Dandelions.I have not been able to get a picture of a Hummingbird in flight yet. They are super fast in movement.I was so happy to see the beautiful Indigo Bunting back in my yard againThe Hummingbirds gave me a lot of entertainment yesterdayI'm overjoyed that they are giving me a chance to take some lovely pictures of them.Someone is keeping an eye on me.This Squirrel is being watchful. You've heard of the 3 Musketeers, but I have, at this time these 3 Squirrels hanging together, one on each Bird Feeder. Sometimes they seem to take ownership. Lol!Good morning, Sparkers!Wishing you a wonderful Day!Good night, Everyone!Have a Blessed Fourth of July!Thank you, God, for our many blessings.God Bless America!Let's not forget....Could not resist this!!BLESSINGS!Aren't They Cute?I love capturing the moon with my camera.A visitor stopped by.I think this Chipmunk enjoyed a bit of a cooler day..Good Sunday Morning!Have a Beautiful Day!I got this photo shot of this Robin yesterday!I got this photo shot of this Robin yesterday! So nice to have a relaxing Sunday in between those portions of exercise, which are a must for some of us. My Nephew made me the Bird Feeder stand he promised me: The Squirrel Proof Feeder. Believe me they are try to climb up; so far they haven't been successful. My Nephew is making a Feeder and a Feeder Stand for the Squirrels. A Squirrel trying to figure out how he will accomplish his climbIn the mean time, the Squirrels have this Feeder to go to, plus the sunflower seeds I sprinkle on the ground too. There are a number of creatures who can't climb, or maybe don't want to, or prefer to get the feed the easiest way possible.I had taken a couple of pictures of a Squirrel climbing up to this Feeder. I think this may be one of them. The Squirrels are not giving up hope that they will conquer the Feeder Stand. "Still trying, and they aren't quitters!I love seeing the Birds around, but when it gets very hot, like today it was in the 90's, they were taking shelter to stay cool.Wishing you a Lovely Sunday!A Day of rain is a day to relax a little. My Nephew made this Feeder & connected together for the Squirrels & Chipmunks. He has a heart of Gold! Here is the Grateful Squirrel. I think he or she is Grateful!I even managed to get a photo of a Hummingbird this Monday. The photo of the Hummingbird in flight is the male. You can tell by the red throat. This is the Female perched and drinking from the Feeder.I captured this photo late this morning. Those Beautiful Humming Birds!I took some pictures of this Moon on Saturday night, and just didn't get a chance to post any. The Moon was gorgeous, and twice as much being dressed up with the back round.I just can't put my camera down when I see the Moon glow.Ohhhh! Ohhhh!! YIKES!! My Dear Nephew Joe who built this Squirrel Proof Feeder is going to be Very Disappointed when he hears this and sees this. He's on a little vacation right now with Friends. It pretty much shocked me when I was looking out one of my windows and there he was. I hurriedly got my camera and took 3 pictures. I really wonder how he made it up to the Feeder. I think he's been practicing every day. And who knows, maybe this was not even his first time. What a Stinker!!There were a number of big Birds around today, but this particular Big Bird! Lol!! MY Nephew made this lovely Feeder, @GO_GAL_GROW,especially for the Squirrels, when he finished
the Bird Feeder Stand for the Birds. It is really nice. The Squirrels want all Feeders, and have not given up getting their feat accomplished. I watched them when they first were trying. As quickly as they were scurrying up on the surface they would fall off You know what? I think the Squirrels want to trade their Feeder for all the Birds Feeders. Lol !
