A love a colorful meal! Zoodles, Peppers, and Sausage YUM!Getting into the habit of eating breakfast each morning so I’m not starving by the time lunch comes :) Got in my first strength workout in forever, was exhausted afterward but this cutie wanted a walk and how could I say no to that face?!Feeling great after today’s run! My progress is slow but it’s better than nothing 😀ðŸƒðŸ½â€â™€ï¸ðŸ‘ŸBroke into the 160s today!! 150s here I come!Me @ 175 lbs (15 down, 60 to go!)Going meatless for dinner tonight! Mixed up some couscous with lemon juice, feta cheese, cucumbers, and hummus and sprinkled some crushed up pita chips on topA delicious Sunday dinner! Healthy eating doesn’t have to be a chore 🙂I really pushed myself this morning and have a new personal best on my run! Usually my husband takes our dog for a walk in the mornings before work but today he had to be out the door by 5:30 so I took her instead. Just another opportunity to be a little more active 🙂Just for fun I thought I’d share my weight loss graph from this month. I weigh myself every day and it’s a nice reminder that even though weight loss is never a perfectly linear journey, if you make the right choices you’ll still end up where you want to be in the long run.I didn’t make it to the grocery store today so I had to make do with what we already had. Whipped up some pepper chicken with rice and Siracha. It’s surprisingly good :)We are finally getting some beautiful fall weather! It makes for a great afternoon being active at the dog park with my pup!In September I set a goal to be able to run 3 miles without walking. I decided to cut back my cardio to 2 days a week instead of three so figured I would let that goal go for now. But today I decided I should find out how far I actually can run since I've only been doing interval training. Turns out I can run 3 miles! So I think now I need a new goal!Been feeling a little out of control the past week and have fallen off the wagon a bit. But after a particularly bad day yesterday I’m back to it today. Got a 30 minute cardio workout in today and am feeling goodLong days mean late workouts, still got it in though and now I can go to bed! 💤💤ðŸ‹ðŸ»â€â™€ï¸ðŸ’ªðŸ¼ðŸ‘ŸThis is my first progress pic! Not a huge difference but it is the first time I can really see any difference 😀OMG! I did it! I got into the 150s!! I think the last time I was here was when I had emergency surgery to take my gallbladder out and lived on IV fluids for a week. So excited!Another month down, another 5 lbs gone! Looking forward to seeing how November goes!I never thought I’d see the day when I’d be excited to have kale and yogurt for lunch but here we are!Broke in my new running shoes today with a 2 mile run!Second run on my 10K training program! Was worried about the cold but it wasn’t too bad once I got goingI hope everyone is having a happy Thanksgiving! I don’t count calories on holidays and I’m enjoying a rare glass of wine while taking a break from cooking 😊My Christmas tree is up! I got through Thanksgiving without gaining (lost 0.4 lbs) Christmas will be harder. I love the holiday season but wish it didn’t come with so many food temptations!I weighed in at 153.3 this morning which means I am officially out of the obese BMI range!! So excited about finally reaching this milestone! 🥳🎉Met a new goal today! Increased my long run from 3 miles to 4!Rainy run day! I will take the rain over the cold any day! Most of the time when I look in the mirror I can’t really tell how much progress I’ve made so its a little shocking when I compare old pictures to new ones! I still have a long way to go but it’s encouraging to see how far I’ve already come 🙂👟Small numbers add up to big success! 22.3 lbs down! Excited to see my progress next month!Listened to my new 80s Running Playlist on my run today and I think I may have actually smiled a few times during the run - music choices make all the difference! 🎼👟❤️The picture on the left was taken a little over 2 years ago. I was at my heaviest (190 lbs) and it took me over an hour to do 3 miles. On the right is me today 38 lbs lighter and done with 35 minute 5K for a light run (oh and the shirt fits a lot better!). I still have 32 lbs to go to reach my goal weight but looking back at the progress I’ve already made, I know if I keep at it I will get there.Only got in 2 miles today but at least I got something in. I really wasn’t feeling the gym today but I never regret a workout after it’s doneSo excited to finally see the 140s on the scale this morning!!From Halloween to Christmas before and after! With another 10 lbs gone I thought I’d do another progress pic. 25 lbs makes a pretty big difference! I’m excited to start 2019 so much closer to my goal weight!Got a good calorie burn in today cutting down a Christmas tree!Merry Christmas! The top photo is from Christmas 2 years ago and the bottom is from today! I’m so excited to be going into 2019 so much closer to my goal weight!I got an Instant Pot for Christmas and this thing is amazing!! I’m so excited for how much easier this thing is going to make cooking healthy home-cooked meals!!27 lbs down in 2018! I’m so excited to see what 2019 brings! I’m close than ever to my goal weight, I’ve got a half marathon to train for in September - 2019 is going to be my year!To kick off the new year I’ve set a challenge for myself - 30 workouts in 30 days! I’m going to be doing Jillian Michaels Shred and I actually remember to take some before pictures so hopefully I’ll get some good results!Day 2 of JM 30 Day Shred done! I’m having some pain in my foot so I had to do some modifications but I still got through it! My running is on hold for this week while I rest my foot but I didn’t want to give up on my workouts entirely. Focusing on good stretching before and after as well as making some low-impact modifications made it so I can get my workout in and still listen to what my body is telling me.3/3 workouts for 2019! My foot is feeling a lot better so I’m pretty confident I can get back to my runs on Monday. But until then I still have 30 Day Shred to keep me sweating!Put the video on mute and listened to my own music today. I felt like it made the workout fly by!Half way through level one!Day 6 done! I don’t think I properly hydrated before today’s workout as I got with a massive headache toward the end today! Off to drink more water now!Adding back in my running along with the 30 Day Shred! Got in 2.5 miles this morning!Refueling post-workout! I used to think eating healthy would be so hard but now so many of my favorite meals are healthy ones! This Spinach and Omelette Scramble is super easy and delicious 😋Almost done with level 1! Only 2 more days to go!A fun before and after for today. I’m a teacher and today I have my first classes of spring semester. I started focusing on weight loss right at the start of fall semester and I’m so proud of the progress I made in just a few months! On the left was the first day of the Fall semester and I was 176. Today (on the right) I’m 146! 30 lbs down! I feel so much more confident walking into the classroom without all that extra weight!Starting the morning off with a quick run! I think my runs wake me up better than my coffee 🙂Learning about self-care has been just as much a part of my weight loss journey as learning about nutrition and exercise. Taking the time to wind down at night, let go of the days stresses, and look forward to a new tomorrow helps me avoid feeling the need to stress eat. Sometimes I journal, or read, or just relax and enjoy a cup of tea but it’s a very important time of day for me!Luna got impatient for her walk while I finished level 1 of 30 Day Shred 😀💪🏼🐾❤️ On to level 2 tomorrow!I know Halo Top gets a lot of buzz but you guys...Breyers low-cal option is SO much better! Way closer to that real ice cream taste 😋This is why I run! Had a craving for Chipotle today and my 3 mile run means I could go with zero guilt!New water bottle! Anyone who knows me I have a weird obsession with water bottles, seriously I have so many! But it was only $5 at Target and so cute! So did I need another one? No. But I’m happy I have it lolLevel 2 of Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred is no joke! So much harder than level 1 and kicked my butt today! After completing level 1 I lost 1 lb and 0.5 in from each arm, hoping to see some more noticeable changes after level two 💪🏼Adding some yoga to my routine. I feel like I get really tense throughout the week even though I stretch before and after workouts. I love how I feel after even a short yoga session - like I’ve just release a lot of tension from the weekGetting those workouts in! Level 2 is still kicking my butt but I love that tired, sweaty feeling I have at the end of it!Tried out wearing my husband’s Fitbit today. It was a little motivating to see how many steps I’d taken and try to hit 10,000. It was really uncomfortable to wear though. I’m going to try it out for a week though, maybe I will get used to having it on.Had a tough time dragging myself out of bed this morning. Monday morning workouts are the worst but I got up and got it done and I’m feeling ready for the rest of the dayHalf way through level 2! I really hope there are fewer plank moves in level 3...Nothing makes me sweat like an interval workout! It’s always a nice break from just running at a steady pace.I have a job interview tomorrow and none of my dressy clothes fit anymore so I went shopping today. OMG! Everything I’m wearing is a medium! Definitely a nice little confidence boost before my interview tomorrow 😀Got to my workout a little late today. Not sure why but I was so unmotivated to get this done but now that it’s over I’m happy I did it 😀💪🏼So ready to be done with level 2! Only one more day!Into the final stretch! Level 3!That face when you hit a personal best! 3 miles at an 11’24” pace! Hoping to get that down to a 10 minute mile eventually.Still doing 30 Day Shred, I like level 3 so much more than level 2. It’s hard but not quite as many planks so I’m happy 😊Was super busy today and couldn’t get in my workout till after dinner! It doesn’t matter when it happens as long as you make sure it happens!Interval workout on the treadmill is a good way to start the morning! Feeling awake and energized!Same sweatshirt, 7 months apart. Picture on the left was taken during my family vacation to Hawaii in June. About 3 months after this picture I decided to get serious about weight loss and I’m so proud of how far I’ve come!Having a delicious and healthy dinner tonight! Salmon, steamed broccoli, and brown rice with a little bit of sriracha drizzled on top - yum!Saturday morning off to a great start! So far this year I’ve been running inside on a treadmill because I hate the cold. This morning I decided to suck it up and get outside. And I crushed my pace goal! Under 10 minutes and honestly didn’t even feel like I was pushing myself that hard. Not sure if the treadmill I’ve been using isn’t calibrated right or something but I’m super proud of how today’s run went 😀🏃🏽♀️👟My 10K training plan wants me to do two days of cross training each week and rather than just jump on the elliptical and do a random workout I Decided to give Aaptiv a try and did my first elliptical workout this morning. I actually really enjoyed it! It was nice to get the instruction and push you would get in a fitness class without having to find a class that fits my schedule and drive to a gym.Feeling good after 2 milesJanuary Accomplishments:
- Down 5 lbs
- Lost 6 in overall
- Ran 23.77 miles
Feeling ready to take on February! My favorite thing about running is the mental challenge of pushing yourself harder and farther than you think you can go. Did 3 miles under 30 minutes today! A personal best!I always crave pasta after a long run. Homemade chicken meatballs and fettuccine alfredo for dinner tonight, yum!Very windy and slightly rainy run today but I got it done! I’m having dinner with my dad tonight so I’m glad to have the extra calories 😀Went to the gym in my apartment building this morning and it was closed! So I did a couple YouTube workouts instead and got to hang out with my favorite workout buddy! It’s snowing here today and it’s up to my knees! The gym is closed which means no run today. I didn’t get in the workout I wanted/planned but I did still get an awesome workout with PopSugarFitness on YouTube. I can’t remember the last time a workout had me sweating this much!Today the number on the scale was 140.8 which means I am just 0.8 lbs away from officially being 50 lbs down from my highest weight! Just 20 more to go to reach my goal weight!I managed to dig up what may be the only picture of me at my highest weight ever - 190 lbs. It’s an awful picture but it does make me proud of how far I’ve come!Run is done! We are supposed to be getting more snow this weekend so I figured I should get my run in while the weather was clear. Now I can just relax the rest of the weekend 🙂I am ready for warm weather! This cold and snowy weather is really testing me, all I really want is to stay inside under a warm blanketGot to the park and realized Ieft my headphones at home! No music made this run hard.Going to get a lot of snow tonight and tomorrow so I did my long run early. 4 miles is my longest run so far!The cold air has been really irritating my lungs. I spent all night coughing after my long run last week (already scheduled a doctors appointment to get that checked out) and it’s even colder today so I’m back on the treadmill for today. Decided to do some intervals and felt like I might die at the end but I Iove that awesome feeling of accomplishment after you really push yourself in a workout. It’s been forever since I last posted! I fell off the wagon with my diet for awhile. I’ve kept on track training for my half-marathon in September so thankfully I haven’t gained. But I’m back on track counting my calories and will hopefully reach my goal weight by the end of the year! This picture is from my run on Saturday, I’m slowly increasing my miles to 13.1!Got a few miles in today, felt crappy and went slow but at least I was moving!Thought I’d do an easy 3 miles on the treadmill today since it was so hot. But for some reason the air conditioning in my gym didn’t turn on until it was 80 degrees! wtf?! So now I have to be the annoying person who complains. So my easy 3 miles turned into a pretty brutal 3 miles, but I did it!Progress pictures are my favorite motivation. The picture on the left was 15lbs into my weight loss journey and on the right I’m 50 lbs down. Losing the last 20 lbs has been so hard but lately I’m feeling more optimistic and really hoping I can finally reach my goal weight by the end of the year!I never thought I would be the type of person who gets up at 6 on a Saturday to get a 7.5 mile run in before it gets too hot but here we are!Made falafels for the first time tonight! Turned out really yummy and now I have a new favorite vegetarian go-to meal! It’s my birthday today and my parents got me a garment watch! I was so excited to get to use it on my run today!Starting the day with a 5K run! Happy Independence Day everyone!Rough run today but I’m just happy to be done! This summer heat is killing me!! Had to sit for a minute after finishing today’s runDid my longest run so far this morning! I may slow as a turtle but I get it done! One of my favorite dinners for under 300 calories!I really want to lose 7-10 lbs before my half marathon so I’m ramping up my workouts to 6 days a week and will be extra careful with my calories for the next 2 months. I was sweating buckets during today’s workout but it felt good!Picture on the left is from 4 years ago! Picture on the right is today. I’m still not at my goal but I’m so much closer than I ever imagined I could be when I was starting this journey.Finished my first half-marathon today!Day 2 of 21 Day Fix done! My legs were so sore this morning from yesterday and of course today was a leg day workout but I pushed through! And of course my favorite workout buddy, Luna, was there to help encourage me (which she likes to do my licking my face while I’m trying to do ab moves on my mat lol)Day 3 done! Today was kind of a hectic morning but thankfully my husband is staying home today so he can take the dog for her walk since I ran out of time before work. My legs are still super sore so I’m really glad today was arms and abs.So today I learned Pilates is HARD! It was an active recovery day but still I was definitely feeling the burn during today’s workout!! But thankfully my legs are returning to normal after being crazy sore the past few days so I should be ready for a cardio workout tomorrow yay!Day 5 of my new workout program! It feels really good to be on track again! Hopefully, I stay on track!Having a supportive husband is the best! He is always pushing me to be better and do what I need to do to reach my goals. Like this morning when I was sitting on the couch perfectly happy being lazy and he talked me into doing my workout this morning rather than waiting until later in the day when I’m going to want to do it even less.Breakfast for dinner! Sometimes I’m too lazy to cook whatever I have planned so I like to keep some staple food in the fridge so I can always scrounge something up. Egg whites and turkey sausage with a bit of cheese sprinkled in with some hashbrowns and bacon on the side. All under 500 calories! My pup loves yoga day! Honestly, I get a little bored with yoga but I love how I feel after so I’ll keep at itStart of week 2! I lost 2.2 lbs last week (yay!). The workouts are getting harder but I just do the best can which sometimes means going a little slower or modifying some of the moves but I still get my heart rate up and sweat a ton!Got a quick run in this morning!Between my run, day 9 of 21 Day Fix, and 10 minutes abs I’m exhausted! It’s cold and snowy here today so I’m just spending the rest of the day with my pup on the couch!Today was a long day. I got terrible sleep last night and was just dragging all day long but as tempted as I was to skip it, I still got my workout in. This is why I work out at home. Even after a long day it’s hard to talk myself out of doing just 30 minutes in my own living room.It was below freezing today but I could not do another run on the treadmill. My face was freezing but my run felt great!Cooking jambalaya in the slow cooker today! I love using my slow cooker (I use it at least once a week) but it makes my apartment smell delicious all day long which just makes me want more food!Almost done with week two! Finally feeling like I’m truly back on track with my diet and exercise and feels so good!I signed up to do a 5K on Thanksgiving so figured I better get my butt back in gear with my runs! Felt pretty good to get 3 miles in today! So excited for dinner tonight! I used to think “dieting” (not a fan of that word) meant constant deprivation and never getting to have food that tastes good. But this is a full plate of all delicious things! Pork, mashed potatoes (I am an Idaho girl at heart and I will never replace potatoes with cauliflower), and Brussel Sprouts. I’ve actually found that healthy eating has opened me up to all types of yummy food that I was ignoring before (like the Brussel Sprouts)Last week I didn’t get my workouts in before work and I really felt crappy all week long. Today, I’m starting the week out right and getting it done before I go to work! It also helps that I’ve finally been getting better sleep!Just added a new running app on my phone! I really wanted access to more guided runs to do during the week, excited to try out a new one tomorrow!Had an awesome run this morning! An under 8 minute mile for my first mile! A new PR for me!Cardio workout today! I’m almost done with this three week program! Trying to decide now if I want to repeat it or move up to the more intense program.Dropped into the 140s today!!Felt lazy all morning and did not want to run but I forced myself off the couch and got it done and you know what? It’s a lot easier to keep moving once you actually start moving.Moved my weekend run to Friday. It always feels like such a chore to do it on the weekend because it cuts into my time with my husband and fun stuff. So rather than trusting myself to be disciplined it just makes more sense to do it on Friday when I’ll actually enjoy doing it.I got my Garmin watch back in July. Today is the first day I hit my step goal (10K) for a whole week! One more day to go to finish this program! Decided I will repeat it before moving on to the more intense version. My weight was up on the scale this morning which put me in a bad mood but I’m feeling a lot better after this workout.I finished my three week program with yoga today! Starting all over again tomorrow then moving on to 21 Day Fix Extreme to finish out the year!Restarting 21 Day Fix! The first round of this program was exactly what I needed to get back on track. 21 days of working out every day and focusing on my diet again and I feel motivated and determined again. I lost 5.6 lbs in round one and excited to see how I feel 3 weeks from nowIt’s transformation Tuesday! I have a ways to go but I’m proud of how far I’ve come!My doggo loves my workout mat. It’s her favorite place to lay (she has multiple dog beds and is allowed on the couch). I would move her but she’s the cutest workout buddy so I just move around her.Awesome weather for a run today!Nighttime cardio workout because I was lazy all day! Now shower and bed!Transformation Tuesday! When I started this whole thing I don’t know that I really believed I could lose the weight. Now that I’m more than half way to my goal I know that I will reach my goal but it took getting half way there to truly start to believe in myself. So if you’re starting out and feel like you can’t do it, you can! Just keep going!Upper body workout today! I picked some heavier weights today and lowered my incline for push-ups! Slowly seeing progress!Intervals on the treadmill today! My 5K is in one week (on Thanksgiving) and it looks like they are predicting snow!Done with week 2! Moving on to week to the extreme version...hopefully not too extreme.I’m off work this week for Thanksgiving and it’s putting me in a lazy mood! But I talked myself into doing my workout anyway! Lots of calories coming on Thanksgiving, now is not the time to be a slacker! All set for my 5K tomorrow! It’s supposed to be snowy so it’s going to be a cold one!Happy Thanksgiving! (happy Thursday to those not celebrating!) Ran a very cold and snowy 5K this morning and now I’m just enjoying being warm and inside and ready for all the delicious food!Thanksgiving 2018 vs Thanksgiving 2019. I’m surprised how much of a difference I can see considering there isn’t actually a huge weight difference between these pictures...maybe 10 lbs? But despite not losing as much weight as I wanted to this year becoming a runner and working out consistently has still really changed my body, even though I still haven’t reached my goal weight.Back to working out today! I took the day before and the day after Thanksgiving off but it felt good to get back to it! Starting a new program on Monday and I’m excited!Started a new workout program today after completing two rounds of my first one. At first I wasn’t going to post my progress pics because they aren’t very dramatic but weight loss isn’t dramatic. It’s slow. This is 6 weeks worth of work and the changes are small but they are there. It’s good to celebrate the small successes on our way to the big ones! This week I’ve been feeling so bleh. My Monday workout killed my calves and I was so sore the next few days that I ended up having to skip Tues/Thurs runs. And I made some not so great food choices this week as well. But my legs felt a bit better today so I decided I’d do a nice slow run. About half a mile in I realized a run was exactly what I needed to get out of that bleh mood I’d been in all week and I ended up pushing myself harder on my run than I had planned but felt great afterward!Homemade enchiladas for dinner today! Just under 400 calories a piece (and that’s attempting to make the recipe a little healthier, I got it down from over 500 each!) but worth every one! Plus I had a double workout today so I’m still in my calorie range.Progress picture just for fun! It’s the end of the semester for me and that always seems like a good time it look back at how far I’ve come. Picture on the left is me at the start of the Fall 2018 semester, middle picture is the start of Fall 2019, and the right is from a couple days ago.2018 to 2019 to 2020. I lost 50 lbs between the first two pictures (2018-2019) but the scale didn’t really move at all in 2019 but there’s still such a noticeable difference! Still hoping to hit my goal weight in 2020 but keeping in mind that the number on the scale now far from the only thing that mattersReady to spend this summer finally reaching my goalPerfect weather for a run today! 67 and sunny!Homemade pasta sauce and meatballs for dinner tonight! Pasta and bread are like 80% of my motivation to runI’m starting my fourth week of barre, it’s so much more challenging than I thought it would be. And I’m really not as graceful as the instructor lol but I am having fun and working up a sweat! This picture from 2014 popped up in my Facebook memories today. Nice to start the day with a reminder of how far I’ve come.So hot out!! It’s definitely time to break out the running shorts instead of full length leggings. Today was a struggle!Finished the month off with a 10K this morning! Looking forward to getting even more miles in next month! My progress in May has been my best so far in 2020! Looking forward to another productive month in June!Starting June off with a early morning run! Have to get up early to beat the heat, hoping it cools down a bit over the next weekA different kind of picture for #transformationtuesday On the left is my first run after signing up to do a half marathon and on the right is right after successfully completing it.Morning run done!Morning run done! Now I can just relax the rest of the weekendOrder some new running shorts because it was so hot last week. They didn’t arrive until Sunday and today it’s 42 out! Oh well, I’m enjoying the colder weather and I’m sure I’ll need them soon enough#transformationtuesday! It’s been about a month since I’ve been really back on track with both my running and my diet. The changes are small but they are definitely there!4 miles done! Probably should have gotten started a bit earlier this morning but the heat wasn’t too bad.30 minute strength workout today! The first half of this route was pretty much all up hill which was killer! But I hit my fastest 5K time on the way back down!4.5 mile run this morning. I’m upping my mileage this week so I figured I’d do a nice slow recovery run. Also did a quick ab workout afterward. I feel like I’ve been neglecting my abs so I’m going to try doing abs every day for 2 weeks just to get into the habit of working them into my routineGot in some extra cardio with a hike this afternoonTwo years ago in Hawaii vs today! I started finally losing weight (and not just losing and gaining back the same 10 lbs) a couple months after this trip and I think seeing myself in those pictures was a major motivator. Still a ways to go but so much happier and healthier two years later!Weather is a lot cooler today so I didn’t have to get up early to run!Bumped my miles up to 7 this week! It was a hard run but it felt good when it was overNew fastest mile record this morning! (That’s my dog in the background, she didn’t go on the run but she’s tired just thinking about it lol)Ran the virtual Big Gay 5K this morning (and another 4 miles after because 7 was on the schedule for today). This was my first virtual race which is not as fun as a race with all the people but I still got a medal so I’m happy lolJune was a great month for my running and my last run of June was my best yet! I got a new fastest mile time and my average pace was under 10 min per mile! The best part of running is when you have the runs where you can feel that you are getting stronger and fasterResults for June! I’m really happy with how much weight I lost this month. Hoping to finally get into the 130s by the end of JulyTransformation Tuesday! About a 2 year difference between these two picturesI complain about doing a run before pretty much every run but I am always glad I did it when it’s overIt’s my birthday so I moved my long run up a day so I don’t have to worry too much about my calories today :)Facebook memories popped up with the picture on the left today - 6 years later I still love hiking but I can enjoy it so much more now that I’m living a healthier lifestyle.6 years in between. Lots of trying and failing, finally got the hang of this weight loss stuff.Morning run! July is my least favorite month for running because it’s SO hot out! 8 am and already 80 degrees...yuckNew 5K record! First time finishing in under 30 minutes!Great morning for a run, was a little cooler than I was expecting which was a pleasant surprise2 months of being back on track and half-marathon training. I’m down 10 lbs. I feel stronger and faster on my runs. To be honest the change in my body isn’t as big as I was hoping. The differences feel very small to me. But I’m going to keep at it and hopefully eventually the progress pictures will be where I want themSo hot out. Glad the run is overOnly a month and a half left till my next half-marathon!New PR time for my 5K and 10K!Posted a photoPosted a photoRough run this morning. I got terrible sleep last night and had some stomach issues this morning. It was not a fun run but I’m glad I did it and can just relax the rest of the weekendWeighed in at 139.6 this morning!! Getting under 140 has been a huge barrier for me for over a year and I’m so excited that I finally did it!! I haven’t been in the 130s since I was 18 (I’m 30 now)I posted about my most recent weight loss milestone (getting under 140) the other day but I wanted to share a progress picture! I have very few full body pictures of me at my heaviest but I dug one out of the depth of Facebook lol. If you’re at the start of your journey take pictures! You will want them laterRan 75 miles total in July! Next month is the half and I’m looking forward to scaling back a bit after it’s overJuly was a good month! Almost 6 lbs gone! Looking forward to seeing even more progress in AugustReally happy with my run today, tested out a portion of the half marathon course and it was so nice to do a relatively flat run!My weight has been up on the scale a bit the last few days. Pretty sure it’s just water retention but it’s still frustrating and has made me a little grumpy lately. But I had a good run this morning to just clear my head and find more positive attitude.Last long run before the half, my legs were hurting toward the end!Morning run doneMorning run done!Did not want to do this run at all, glad it’s over!Finished with my half-marathon training (running my race next weekend!) and wanted to share my progress over the last 3 months. I started at 154 and am down to 137. 7 lbs from goal! Going to work in more strength training in September to tighten up a bit more while I work on those last few lbs.Last short run before the half!Did my half-marathon this morning! 2 years ago I never in a million years would have thought I’d be a runner. I was obese and just didn’t seem to be able to get control of my life. But when I finally started successfully losing weight and took up running to help with that it’s given me a great sense of accomplishment outside of weight loss. If you’ve ever thought about running but feel like you can’t - I promise you can! The hardest part is just getting started.Back to running today! I took two weeks off after my half (partly to rest and partly because we had some friends come to visit). I’m happy I’m running again though, I actually did miss it! And Instagram decided to show me this lovely throw back pic from 2018. It’s crazy how much can change in just a couple years!Slowly working on getting back into a consistent running routine! I’ve been on a bit of a break with diet and exercise the last month and really need to get back on track.Been awhile since I checked in here but thought I’d pop back in to say Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
