In fact, I find it more appetizing to eat veggies in soup - Good to know! :)See this image largerI'm learning that when you have 100+ lbs to lose, it doesn't take much effort to raise your heart rate. So it's ok if you treat a regular cardio work out more like a tabata - it still raises your heart rate, burns fat and helps you get healthier, and with consistent effort, pretty soon I'll be able to do that darn cardio workout like your supposed to! :)See this image largerI love this book - the white book is a newer version. It illustrates how small consistent efforts and habits build success (or failure) over time and that life is not a race. It's pertinent to every area of life, including getting healthier. Maybe you might find it helpful too :)See this image largerNSV --- As a full time caregiver for my mom, a bad habit I'm trying to break is to 1. stop automatically finishing her plate or 2. grabbing food every single time I walk through the kitchen. Today I managed to 1. do both of those things while 2. completing a 24 hour water only fast. And to top it off I managed to eat 1200 calories and stay in all of the spark min/maxes. It's about the only way I like cabbage. I made it with chicken, but I realized I could make it with just veggies too - quick & easy, healthful and I like it! Personally I don't do well on specific diet plans. I just started tweaking bad habits and making better food choices and moving more. I'm a little disappointed that the scale didn't show a loss this morning, but 248 is better than 250, 260, or the 270 I started at in December so I'll take the win!
