My daughter, a Marine, is stationed in California where the DOD issued an indefinite travel ban. As a Hail Mary pass she requested a waiver. We've been on pins and needles for weeks waiting for word. Yesterday her command had compassion and approved her leave to come home for the wedding. We had company from out of state for several days after that. I still feel like I'm recovering, honestly. There's just been so much to do! But as of the Wednesday after the wedding I have been doing well with my diet and exercise. 5 of the 6 pounds I gained are gone.
