I watched Meg's You Tube video for Garlic Chicken with 18 cloves and modified it, oh rather significantly! This was AMAZING. I'll put the recipe in my recipes called Onion and Garlic Chicken with Sun-dried Tomatoes. It's around 270 calories. Serving it with the snap peas was a nice sweet balance to the tangy sauce as opposed to brown rice. Just thought you would like this beautiful photo today. It just feels so calming. The Bomb!Yesterday was the first day in 30 days on the program where I struggled with being so tired from not being able to sleep the night before, exhausted from too much exercise too fast recovering from Covid, that I kept looking for something to wake me up and dove into that emotional eating cycle. Even talking about this makes me nervous. Simple carbs are my goto. I have to have better plans in place to deal with emotional eating, so I stay true on my weight loss journey and change my habits. gSometimes we need a big plate of pasta with all the taste within calorie constrictions! And this is it for me! Growing up Italian, pasta is my true comfort food! Onward and downward spark pals! ME AT 164 AGE 60. 11 POUNDS TO GO! I needed this today on the spark coaching page because this week has been about persistence not perfection. With celebrating 2 birthdays of family and friends, out to eat and indulging a little bit, I have been far from perfect. Hey that's okay. Not every day will be perfectly on track but every other day will be. Does that make sense? Onward and downward Sparklers! LOLToday I remind myself that everyday is delicate balancing act. We have so many things that come at us every single day. So remember to be soft with yourself, don't beat yourself up, just carefully and thoughtfully walk back toward center and rebalance. We got this Sparkers! It was so great to get out and enjoy the fall day and get on the bike again after such chilly weather. Took a very slow enjoyable ride. I started doing yoga everyday when we had to quarantine and I do believe its helped me reduce the amount of stress I hold in my body and reduce the amount of food I use to try and alleviate it. I never realized how much tension I held in my shoulders, abdomen, chest, low back, and neck. Yoga makes you aware of it and allows you to let it go! Feels so great! 17 pounds down! I love Thai Caramel Chicken and set out to make it for dinner and redirected my focus to making a healthier version, Ginger Chicken by Tamera on Spark Recipes! A little over 200 calories per serving, add a half cup of rice and its around 370 calories and a satisfying meal. What has changed since started this journey? What hasn't changed would be the shorter list! Onward and downward sparkers! This is a party in a bowl. The more I put on the salad the more I like it. This has a variety of vegetables that I cut up and have on hand in my fridge in a Salad Making Bowl so it's easy to grab on the go. This has 3 oz turkey, 2 T cranberries, 1 oz feta cheese, Salad fixings and a small banana. Yes, banana. Try it you'll like it! Homemade Dry mustard and Oregano vinegrette. Now this is a meal for hungry champions! Flavor and Nutrition wrapped up in one bowl. I blogged today! Looking back at 2020. OMG what a year!
Life Gets In The Way of Weight Loss - Be An Opportunist! Today I put a few roasted pumpkin seeds on my yam and dried cranberries on my beans. It added a new dimension to my meal for sure! Keep Sparking! I am sorry the plate is not cleaned up and picture worthy! lolLove this! Working toward my FOREVER WEIGHT!!!!Just a quick reminder that we all need. A fun hike through the woodsy trails on a warm Minnesota day! It was a mistake for my friend to bring her dogs. With the warm weather the pups little feet kept building up huge snowballs so we had to carry them back to the car after the first mile. Yes, that is dog I am holding, not a snow ball! LOLThis will soon be my reality, spring vacation! Getting ready to pack and dug out my summer clothing. Many items are being donated because they are too big and hang off of me. My dresses fit beautifully and I will be in a bikini so my tummy also gets to enjoy the warmth of the sunshine! Now that, my dear sparkers, is seriously motivating! Another 5 to 7 pounds and I will be at my forever weight. See you on the flip side!.
I have never been a fan of Dark Chocolate, preferred the sweeter Milk Chocolate. Once I started this program I decided to give it a go and found that this dark chocolate is creamy and delicious at half the cost of the other brands like Dove and Ghirardelli and is smooth, creamy and very chocolatey. Just wanted to share that with you. No I do not hold stock in Sams! LOL. Had to share this simple recipe! I made it over 20 years ago and dug it out because I remembered how flavorful it was. Stuffed with cottage cheese, Parmesan Cheese and spinach. Sauce is nice too. I baked it after searing the chicken roll ups which was easy! Just blanched the green beans but do prefer to roast them at 400 degrees for 20-30 minutes with with olive oil and spices. Enjoy! And the vacation to Florida ended today! So sad to say good bye to the sunsets warm weather ad fun times! So much fun and we did not over eat and stayed active all week! My lunch today is a Clean Grain Burger with Mango Salsa (Find both in spark recipes search "By Tamera") Organic sour cream (I add one package of Korr Vegetable Soup to it for a rich flavor) with veggies, Fresh fruit salad with 2 roasted pecans. These grain burgers are so delicious. I fried it in a little canola oil and like them crunchy! I hope this inspires you! Hungry girl lunch today after working my legs at the gym. Homemade Beef Taco salad with mango salsa, guacamole dressing a few tortilla chips for crunch. NO CHEESE NECESSARY!!!! You gotta try this Caarmelized Garlic Broccoli! I put it in spark recipes by Tamera. Great with Pecan Chicken (I used egg for base with ground Pecans and Italian bread crumbs) and a 1.5 ounce potato. This meal was satisfying! And I need to keep eating variety! Hope your day was sunny! Dinner tonight. I got this recipe on a website called Damn Delicious and its called Sesame Chicken Bowl. I did not do rice and used pea pods instead of broccoli and reduced the sauce by half and canola oil by half. Very good. Enjoy your evening! Variety is the key to success!!!I created this recipe because I love CAKE!!! (Oprah, forget about the bread!) These are only 113 calories each, 30% fat (not including about 15 calories for the frosting, TeeHee) Lemon Blueberry Raspberry Single Serving Cakes by Tamera in Spark Recipes if you want to try them. I freeze them and when I need a little cake for dessert, it's there and I am not looking for other things to fill the void!
