So, I never truly posted a "before" picture because in all honesty, I don't have a lot of them laying around. I busily found myself on the other side of the camera, but I stumbled across this and yikes!! For anyone who doubts it can be done, DONT!! It just takes rime, determination and the ability to forgive yourself for being human and making missteps along the way. The leg t is me at my highest of 252 +/- lbs and the right is me currently at 140, just 5 lbs from my goal. #SparkSuccessChuckle for the dayA beautiful start to what promises to be a fantastic Friday! She portrays my current mood at the moment. 🤣 Love my little fur princess! ❤Iive the relaxing feel of watching an afternoon storm roll over the island....A beautiful end to a soggy run. This is why I love running in the rain. It truly transform routine to anything but .... #running #RunHappyNSV, when You are up sick most of the night yet still get out the door and chalk up a 5.25 mile run. Rewarded with another rainbow too. #running #RunHappy #NSV1 million steps since May 1st, when I started using my new Garmin. Not so shabby. Thats about an average of 17,000 steps a day. #NSV #Steppin'UpNever give up!! Take that first step and out run the storm, you never know what your reward will be.Giggle for the day ....Forgot how much I love being out on my bike. So relaxing I tend to forget about time and distance. D ONT get me wrong, I would rather be running, but until that ligament heals I am glad I have my bike. #biking #getlostI love a sandwich for lunch. It is quick, easy, filling and can be very low calorie. But, using bread makes the carb count hard to keep down, so I found these wraps at walmart. Low calorie, low fat, high protein and low carbs. #WinDaily chuckle...Really missing my morning runs, but this isn't so bad. Another bike ride in the books. Almost have my self convinced I want to do the Conquer the Coast ride in September. 60 miles along the coastal bend in Texas. 🤔It is so easy to lose yourself in the ride when it is so open. I always carry my phone, mace, plenty of water and a repair kit.Talked my darling hubby in to a nice coastal bike ride with me. I don't know if he knew this is what I had in mind. Put me over 100 miles for the week.Still missing my runs, but feeling energized.Good night sparkers!!Posted a photoGoing on 3 weeks of no running. Biking is getting boring and so is walking. Ugh. I wish I was a swimmer and had access to a pool. Guess it is time to drag out the old fitness DVD's. In the mean time, going to further my knowledge.Another 20+ in the books before the heat and wind kicked in full force. 86 degrees and 16 mph was enough for me. Have a Terrific Tuesday Sparkers!!My yoga buddy.Be proud of every victory, no matter how small. So I found this tea at my local HEB (these stores are a treasure trove) and yum!! It claims to increase metabolism, suppress appetite and promote weight loss, which I don't really believe that a tea can do all that but it is CHOCOLATE and you can't go wrong there, right? I like it as it is calorie free yet has a nice light sweetness to it for those times I have a craving. Going to try it iced next. 😁My lunch visitors. These little guys come daily and frolic in our water fountain, anywhere from 4-12@ a time, along with a very dedicated pair of doves.Looks like my workout buddy needed a break.Morning run. Recovery has been rough. Going from running 10 miles to barely being able to eek out 3 is tough on the psyche. Thankfully I have such a beautiful view to motivate me each morning I lace up. #Running #Recovery #RunHappyHard to believe that within the next 24-36 hours we will be experiencing a potential cat 3 hurricane. Prayers for all in the path of Harvey. The moment you realize you grabbed regular yogurt instead of greek yogurt. My favorite afternoon craving buster. Vanilla coconut today. #TeaTime #CravingBuster #TexasProudA beautiful day in the coastal bend today. Even with all the clean up going on, this is a welcome respite. And I am off to the gym for a date with my trainer. Arms and core today. Woo hoo.... have a fantastic FridayMy poor little girl was up sick all night last night. After some hives on her belly and a trip to the dogster it is decided she has had an allergic reaction to something. She is on benadryl and resting now.Good morning Spark family. Hope this week proves to be a success for us all. I am off to start week 2 of boot camp.Week 2 Day 2 boot camp done. Finished it off with 20 rounds of stair runs. #FeelingStrong #StrongIsTheNewSexy #GettingItDoneUnlike some of the other walking partners, mine isn't very energetic. She barely made it to the crash pad before landing after her morning walk. ❤Been craving spaghetti lately so that's what's for dinner .... spaghetti ... SQUASH .... with turkey meatballs and sugar free sauce. Pardon my fancy China as I am dining alone tonight and broke out the good paper plates. 😁My morning. Pictures don't do it justice, but my morning here on the Gulf coast are stunning.A beautiful, albeit a muggy, morning for a run. Slow and easy was the name of the game this morning.Mixed it up a little today. 4 miles along the bay with some hills tossed in for grins.Dining alone again, but that's ok be abuse dinner is yummy. Spaghetti squash with turkey sauce. For me this has become a HUGE victory because there was a time when hubby worked late or was deployed, I would just grab something out and eat in front of the TV and mindlessly munch until it was all gone.Beautiful morning for a beach run with the early morning surfers. Cowabunga dude!!Small lunch today in preps for dinner plans. Lots of fiber to keep that full feeling going. Watermelon, carrot sticks and greek yogurt with some dill ... tasty. My day so far. 🤣🤣This view and a 7 mile run ... no better way to start a Sunday! #running #RunHappy #LoveMyLifeWelcome to Remmi Grace ... Smoked turkey. Delish.Ended our day yesterday with a walk on the beach with this little stinker. She was a hot mess when we got home but she had such a good time.Haha. My running partner today. I like putting my protein of the hour in between a folded piece of Joseph's pita bread with a source of cheese and being rewarded with a toasty little slice of heaven. Today it was ham with brie and a couple cranberries. Yum.Another windy run. I put off to today what I should have done yesterday. This is my punishment. Ah, but the silver lining is that it's great training. TGIF!!Finished the night last night with a walk along the bay. It was beautiful. We all stuck together and finished strong and united. Nothing sweeter than crossing that finish line together. #running #RunHappy #teamworkI even got to enjoy a cold one at the finish line with my man, once I found him. We were on different teams, so finished seperately. It was my first race "without" him. When you and your workout partner have different goals. She is a stinker. When you and your workout partner have different goals.Today's workout includes, water, sun, surf and sand.A slow steamy run this morning. Will be squeezing in some Matt pilates at lunch hour.My old trusty scale, that I have had for going on close to 8 years, started to misbehave and figured it was time to invest in a new one. This one is so slim and compact and weighs in Oz., Fl. Oz., Lbs., Grams and ML. I would be lost without my scale. I weigh practically EVERYTHING to get a more accurate calorie count. Our backyard, and front yard, are completely under water. Rain, rain .... no running again today. That's o.k., still recouping from this illness. A day on the couch with a good book is in orderI just did it!! I am now a student studying to become a Certified Personal Trainer. Ack!! I have been struggling lately, but rededicated myself to tracking and I am rewarded with 3.5 lbs down this week. I am now 5.5 lbs away from my goal. I started out at 252 lbs, and it has been a long hard journey with lots of ups and downs, but thanks to spark and all the great people connected to it, I stayed the course and success is within reach #SparkleOnTough beach race this morning.
