Hernia acting up

Wednesday, May 14, 2008

I don't know what to do anymore. I have a hernia that the surgeon says he will not fix until I lose weight. However, I can't exercise because of the hernia, and that is the only way I have been able to lose weight. Cardio/walking, strength training, I can't do any of that without aggrivating my hernia. I am so frustrated.

I actually lost my first 20 lbs in 2 months without exercising too much at all.. It's all about the diet, small meals, snacks and loads of water!!!

It's not a good place to be in with the hernia. How much is the Doc wanting you to lose??

emoticon not a good situation...you can lose weight with just diet, but it takes longer and is harder... the pool is an excellent idea or even a hot tub if you can get to one...good luck.. we're here if you just want to complain

I am so sorry to hear that and i feel your pain. Losing weight is hard enough on its own but not being able to add excerise makes it even harder.. emoticon

Is there any way you can get into a pool? The water will take the pressure off and you can do some excerises in there. But in the mean time, try to eat a lot of fruit and veggies and get all your water in. that will help a lot in your weight loss.

I am here for you if you need any help.
