It seems like every time I get into a routine of healthy eating and good exercise, something comes up to throw me off and I have to start all over again! I was doing really well a few weeks ago; my husband and I bought new bikes and a bike trailer for our son so we could go on daily family bike rides. All was going well for a while until one day the sidewalk decided it wanted to get better acquainted with me. I still don't know how I ended up on the ground, but I bruised up both knees (they're still quite "colorful"), scratched up my back, got a quarter-sized crater in my right palm, and dislocated my thumb (what a loud "pop!" that made when I put it back where it belonged!!!) Sore muscles, holes in my hand, etc, have prevented work-outs for about a week. I was finally starting to feel ready to get going and told my husband I was going to start working out again. Middle of that same night, I woke up making a bee-line for the bathroom before I threw up. I've been fighting it for 3 days now (food poisoning, maybe?) Will I EVER be able to stick with a healthy routine and get the results I deserve? At least I'm reaching my "8 Glasses a Day" goal with no problem!!! Still, isn't it about time for me to get a break?
