So this weekend I had a hard time. I was feeling down and of course I directed all my frustration and feelings of being discouraged toward my weight. I am not an over eater, I am an under eater that exercises too much to not eat very much (that statement makes sense in my head). LOL I sat down to journal and just beat myself up. I don't know why but I need to stop doing that. I need support and I need a weekend plan. I am tired of beating myself up; I want to feel good on the inside just as much as I want to look good on the out side. My being overweight is an excuse for everything I do (or don't do). Today is monday and I am going to start over. My plan is to sit down tonight and journal about myself. I can lose the weight and be a healthy person if I could just stop being so hard on myself. I need good kick in the bottom. I need to write lines... I will not talk bad about myself over and over and over and put it up in my bedroom, bathroom, hallway, fridge, pantry, desk, etc. I have a great team of supporters and I know I will receive lots of positive comments to this blog. I have to make a promise to myself to be better to ME!!! If I don't take care of me...who will?

Today is always another day to try again. To pick yourself up and dust yourself off and get back on track.

Stop beating on yourself, you are human and we must eat to live. It isn't easy learning to eat sensibly.

We all just do the best we can. We are all here for the same reason. No need to be shy or embarrassed with us.

We love you the way you are and would like to help you become the You that you want to be.

    Hugs,
    Linda

Congratulations - Recognition is the first step and you've taken it. You do deserve better from yourself and you will get there. Baby steps, as they say. Do something each day to be proud of - walk around the block, ride your bike, do an on-demand exercise video then give yourself a big pat on the back. It's small changes that add up over time to make a difference. Before you know it, these small changes will become habits and you'll be well on your way to a healthier you both in body and mind.

    All the best ~

Please stop being so hard on yourself. I know it's hard to stop when you have been doing it for years, but it's not healthy & it gets you nowhere. I agree with the other comments here before me too. I hope your at peace with yourself soon.

Hey Gal :) Could you also maybe find a Buddy to work on this with? We have such a wide verity of people on the Goonie Team. Maybe someone within your age? or maybe interest? Just an idea there.. I have a buddy I gripe at a lot. It helps, then she kicks my rump and we go back into our healthy eating regime.

I agree with Chunk there too, so I won't type out the same thing. :)
Find something to LOVE YOUR SELF FOR! and... LOVE LOVE LOVE It to pieces. Then find another... and another...

I tell you what get a pad of legal paper unless you have MS word start righting down everything that is in your head wether it makes sense or not and continue doing this once you get all that crap out of the way you'll see that your righting will change and you will have a renewed foundation to build off of. I tell my co-captains we are the pillars in place to hold up the team should one of us crack then we need to repair it same goes for individuals if your cracking you need to support that foundation in your mind hense making you feel good inside to change what is outside try it. It's good brain food.

I need you to do something for me. I need you to write down 10 positive things about yourself. It sounds like you are having a rough time enjoying who you are and you need to think positive about yourself and build your confidence. You can be healthy and happy and I know that you can make good choices.

so I will start I'll do your first 5 and then you can add to it. Try to add 5 everytime you start to feel negative thoughts and then read it to your self, post it everywhere you can see it.

    1. I am beautiful.
    2. I am smart
    3. I am a Goonie
    4. I am capable of anything I choose
    5. I am loved

    now you try.

    hugs
