What Next?

We all have future plans for what we want to do next in life. Have you ever thought about what you were going to do once you met your goal weight? I know most of us are not just going to sit around. I know I can't because it's not a good thing to do. Some people want to do something that involves some type of activity such as climb a mountain, take a hike, go river rafting across an adventurous river. I don't think I'm quite ready for something as adventurous as any of that. I might want to start with a small mountain or stick with my swimming. I just know I can't sit still. I stepped up my exercise by adding a little more miles and a little faster step to my walk, a little more laps to my swimming, more pounds to the weights and a little more time on the bowflex and elliptical.
What are your plans when or if you met goal?

Do short runs! A lot of 5k runs (3.1 miles) also offer a 1 mile run/walk, and the proceeds still go to the cause :)

First to truly give God praise because I know that is the only way I'm going to get there! Secondly, I think I want to take some professional photos to celebrate my success. My big ticket item would be to travel somewhere that has a beautiful beach and actually put on a nice bathing suit. Doubt that it'll be a 2 piece but sexy none the less!!! Also I'd like to go to the Grand Canyon and do an amazing hike or horseback ride.

I know that once I reach my goal weight, it will require just as much of an effort maintaining it as it does to get there in the first place. I know that I will still have to watch my calories and still get in my regular exercise and I will still need to watch my portion sizes. Like my doctor once told me, you need to develop a way of living that you can keep up for the rest of your life. . . it's a lifestyle change and not just something you do that is temporary. That's how I see it.
