After waiting for many years to become a grandmother (some of the people I graduated from high school with are now great grandparents), our little precious Jacob has arrived on the scene on October 14th.
Our daughter and her husband are the proud parents. Jacob is indeed a miracle because our daughter was diagnosed with endometriosis about 10 years ago and has had so many health problems requiring several surgeries. They had all but given up hope of having a baby.
The first of this year I began a time of serious prayer specifically calling on the Lord to bless her with a child.
My husband and I were on the Sea of Galilee in February and he was sharing with us about the miracles that Jesus performed in the vicinity. He mentioned to everyone on our tour bus that "perhaps you need a miracle today" and "this is the land of miracles."
That very same afternoon we received a call from our daughter, and she asked if we were sitting down. She then told us the wonderful news that she was expecting in October.
All I can say is "Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow!"
By the way, the name Jacob was changed to the name Israel in the Bible, so we thought that was quite appropriate since it was in Israel that we found out we were going to be grandparents.
I hope this will be encouraging for those ladies out there who may be trying to have a baby, or as in my case, who want to become a grandmother.
Nothing is impossible with God!
