Fun Size Halloween Horror

Sunday, November 02, 2008

Halloween is a great night for the kids to dress up and go door to door begging for treats. Every kid hopes to come back home with an overflowing bag full of yummy goodies. But, as the one passing out the treats, it's not so great to have leftover candy.
I have been grazing on the leftovers for the last two nights. I didn't even bother to add it all up on my Nutrition Tracker Friday night because once I started eating those fun size candy bars, I lost track of the amount and kind. It was like I was on some sort of candy high and I had to keep getting my fix. I won't lie, they tasted so good. emoticon But, I guess that's the point isn't it, that's how they sucker you into eating them.

I have been pretty disciplined since I started this journey with an occasional lapse in food judgment, but this by far has been the worst. I was like a piranha on a feeding frenzy. I couldn't stop myself once I started. All that chocolate just sitting in that bowl was calling my name. And I answered, time and time again.
So, tonight I will get my self control back. I will allow myself 1 or 2 pieces as long as it doesn't make me go over my nutrition limits. I am finished with my Candy Frenzy.

Just say NO to Halloween Treats!

Jackie, I know that urge hit our small family too. Only one holloween person came to our door, and we were left with 180 peices of Chocolate candy bars, the kind we all love. Ugg. We all stuffed ourself just the way you described. The next morning I put the bag out of sight and none of us have had any more. We were all on that Candy High.
