I just received some much-needed GREAT news!

Last night was the closing reception and fundraising sale of "American Art in Miniature" at the Gilcrease Museum in Tulsa. This is the second year I was asked to submit one of my bird paintings.

Since I was unable to travel to Oklahoma to attend, my mother and good friend were there for me. She called with some exciting news! My miniature 8” x 10” Cardinal painting, “Out on a Limb*,” won the Museum’s People’s Choice Award... And I was surprised to learn that it sold for $2,775.00! (of which I receive $1850.00-- my check book is close to zero right now! Whew!)

When my mother asked how the award was decided, she was told that the Museum Visitors voted on their favorite painting in the exhibition of 267 paintings... And mine was voted their favorite!

I am very pleased and excited and wanted to share the news!

My painting is on my website at: http://www.camille-engel.com/e
Or, visit the museum website at: http://www.gilcrease.org/AAIM2

*NOTE: The painting title, "Out on a Limb” came from my SparkFriend YO~YOLANDA!!!
