When it rains, it pours!

--Hot water heater went out. Then...
--My art studio heater/air conditioning unit dies. Then...
--Large cyst on shoulder, swells to the size of the palm of my hand. Then...
--Heavy painting falls off wall and sharp corner hits me near eye, swelling large. Then...
--On weigh-in day my Comcast decides to shut down and I have no internet... for two days! Then,
--Large cyst on shoulder decides to explode onto everything nearby, thus a detailed and gross clean-up. Then...
--Very slow car pulls out in front of me on the expressway while I'm going 65, causing me to swerve nearly out of control, tipping on two axels, and almost roll. I'm still shaking from that one. Then...
--That same day I trip in my studio, break my easel and eight large paintings (60 x 48 and smaller) landed on top of me pinning me to the ground. Then...
--The discovery of damaged paintings thus lots and lots of babbling and crying. Then...
--The discovery of an injured knee and shoulder that hit upon the cement floor. Then...
--The discovery that my hospital 14-painting project has become more of a struggle than I thought possible. I've finally given up on finding floral images they will accept and am at their mercy. They are choosing the photos for me to use but unfortunately most of them are low-resolution photos which will make my job extremely difficult.

I don't want to talk about it. I don't want all of this mess to waste one more moment of my energy, I have none left to give. I just wanted to let you know why I wasn't able to weigh-in.

Prayers, however, are gratefully accepted.

-- I forgot to mention that at the moment I fell and all the paintings pinned me on the floor, I just answered a call from the designer and all she heard was "Sh--!" along with the sound of the phone crashing and skidding across the floor away from my reach. I had to yell across the room that I'd need to call her back! At least I had a chuckle on the floor with her about the 'positive' impression I just gave.

The designer probably says Sh--! too when Sh--! happens. We are all human.
I am glad you didn't break a hip. Count your blessing so you don't lose your perspective and get your mind back on work and your other goals.

After that job I think you desire a vacation!

I just said a little prayer for you. emoticon

    I emoticon you mom!!!

PS. You forgot that you bought an easel that was originally over $200.00, that was marked down to $130.00, and you were able to buy the display with an extra 20% off making your purchase $103 and change.

And you got a clean house.

All in the same day with those not so good memories.

**And Tim & I are praying for you... as well as a few of my friends. :)

Yiii! Hang in there, Camille. There's got to be some kind of method to the madness the universe is throwing at you ... we'll just have to wait and see what that method is! :)

You know your designer is gonna be awed at the story of the paintings pinning you down, doll ... and in the meantime, you're gonna simply dust yourself off and keep going! Harder, smoother, brighter!

You'll do it. We know THAT! :)

    Hugs,
    Maya

So sorry to hear that things are rough right now, Camille. It's true - when it rains, it pours. But when the sun comes out, it's hard to imagine yourself in that pouring rain any more ... and it always comes out. Thinking of and praying for you, my friend ... --Marsha
