Northlake - Part 1

So I work for a Vet. Dealing with the death of beloved animals gets to me. What's worse is the abuse of some owners.
I have trouble letting go..... Therefore I decided to write a blog whenever something happens - good or bad. Mostly bad...sigh.
Let's start with Ms Courtade. Sadly we can't use graphic language here, so let's keep this "nice".
Ms Courtade took 3 puppies a year ago, which happen to be brothers/sister to my dog HipHop. Another client took the 5th pup from that litter.
Six month later, Ms Courtade brings back the larger male dog - Rock. She explained the dog was aggressive. We recommended the dog being neutered, she declined, cause " we need him to be a watchdog in our warehouse". WE were a little confused. Well, the "Lady" was divorcing her husband, and SHE thinks the dog is aggressive and wants him to be euthanized. Rock was a really nice dog - I was truly p_____ed off.
Yesterday, February 9th 2009, she came back with the female dog Mia. Same story. I said I would take her, but she "wouldn't forgive herself if something happens". Wanna bet she'll bring the third one too?
As a Christian I have to stay calm, but I can't. I wish that woman nothing good and I have a plan to rescue the last dog - no matter what.

Many people wish there were on/off, high/low switches on people and animals. Just not on themselves emoticon

I wonder if people who abuse animals go along with the hypocrites to that special place reserved in Hell? If I ever catch anyone say dumping a dog/cat I intend to get their license no.and report them to the sheriff. That is the more common abuse around here.Shirley
