The Rest of the Story

Monday, March 09, 2009

You've already heard "It's been a long week with little sleep & lots of pain." So as promised, here's the rest of the story. It's been a week with a lot of emotional ups & downs. It's just hard to handle when you're not sleeping. A few days this past week I've just felt like I'm sitting on the edge of tears.

Monday I was NPO all day & then my nerve block was canceled at about 2:45 pm. Talk about frustrating. I'm suppose to have a nerve block today so I'm once again sitting here NPO. I did snag a slightly earlier time though 1:45 pm. Yeah! There's a positive. Another positive is I made it my belly dance class last Monday.

I felt horrible all day Tuesday & barely moved other than to pick up my mom from work, take her to a doctor's appointment & then to the pharmacy. I'm glad I could take her around so dad could have a break from having to drive her everywhere & I could spend some time with her. Her back has been hurting her all week.

Wednesday, Thursday & Saturday I worked & I pushed that candy cart around again. Nothing like making money for the March of Dimes one snack at a time. LOL I am planning to participate in the March of Dimes Walk here in Dallas in April. There's a new job starting in the NICU I work in later this year that I may be able to do even if this hand & arm don't get better. I need to find out more, but the next meeting isn't until April.

After work Wednesday I went to my little sister's soccer game & of coarse took pics.

On the subject of soccer, my little sis has decided to go to McMurry University in Abilene, TX next year & will be playing soccer there. I'm so proud of her. That is of coarse unless she makes it on "So You Think You Can Dance". We are going to Memphis for her Spring Break so she can tryout. She is planning to tryout as a belly dancer so who knows.

Friday, I was so tired from not sleeping all week I barely did anything. I did go to my Bother-in-Law's Graduation from trucking school. He's been out of work for several months so it's been tough around my older sister's house. He has a pre-hire with a trucking company & should start at the end of the month. He hardly make any money until after his 7 weeks of training are over. You have to start somewhere.

Sunday, I went to my older sister's house. They needed to borough my van to get a pool table they were given. My great nephews were there. It was great to see them. Unfortunately, my camera battery was dead. I should go charge that.

Accomplishments this past week:
A 2 pound loss
Drinking 80 oz of water a day
Not eating anything off that candy cart

How hard is that to push around a candy cart selling things you know you shouldn't eat and probably your buyers shouldn't eat and to avoid the temptation. You rock! Hope that hand/arm gets better so you can join us in the water once again. Carol (CMY)
