Prepare for Change

I hate change, always have!
Problem is change comes and often.
Now we are set up to desire stability, consistency, predictable days, weeks, months.
When we don't get what we want we have stress and anxiety.
This can lead to weight gain, no weight loss, and/or illness.
I teach school. I have taught in 8 schools from pk - 2nd all the way to college. I started teaching in 1973 and except for a few times off to go to school, I have taught.
I did not start out to be a teacher. I did not want to be a teacher. I became a teacher. The most changing profession in the world. A new group of students every year. Changing daily in who's in your room, when, and why. Curriculum changes. Administration changes.
So, what to do.
HUMOR - goes without saying anymore
FLEXIBILITY - go with the flow, monitor and adjust
Take humor into you lifestyle change. Take flexibility into your goals - short and long term.
Leave the stress in a container at home and work.
