DON't Fall into '''Starvation Mode''' -- Lesson Learned

OMG! Talk about determination!
For almost three months (yes, 3 months) I've lost only 3 lbs. I ate, I exercised, I logged, I blogged and all I got was 3 lbs. I was excercising on the elliptical, treadmill, bootcamp and weights.

What was wrong with me?? I've lost weight before AND kept it off over 5 years?? Why was this so hard? Was it my age (39)? Thyroid - I was taking my medication?

It was my calorie intake. I was taking in 1000 calories or LESS, cut OUT a lot of carbs and was excercising my but off. My body was in STARVATION MODE.

Last week, I added more breads and upped my calorie intake. I kept with the same excercise program and this morning --- I WENT DOWN 3.4 lbs!

My lesson! NEVER go below the 1200 calorie mark. Even if my food tracker says I'm under - I keep my log in my head and will have a healthy snack to keep up the calorie range.
