My Newest Paintings...3 of my 14-Painting Commission.
Friday, March 13, 2009
This is a layout of what my first three Georgia wildflower paintings look like for the Georgia hospital... they will hang with three solid panels on the creamy-yellow hospital wall on the fifth floor, opposite a panoramic view of the Appalachian Mountains.
I have been completely absorbed by my painting commission so I haven't had even 5 minutes to myself. I've literally painted 15-16 hour days breaking only to sleep, eat and go to the bathroom.
In these economic times, I am VERY grateful for this commission and want to do a spectacular job for this client.
I haven't been able to exercise... and I've gained a little weight back... even though I'm making healthy choices 98% of the time.... I've simply eaten more carbs than I normally would (like choosing rice cakes or fat-free triscuits instead of raw vegies... cause raw vegies take time to prepare and let's face it-- carbs are more satisfying during stressful times.)
I am grateful for my WONDERFUL HUSBAND who is doing ALL of the laundry, dishes, cooking and cleaning during this very focused time... I owe him BIG TIME when this is behind me. He is so wonderful!!! His 50th birthday is in April at the end of this journey so I've got to take some time to plan something very quickly.
Okay, here are the three paintings individually. I'm working on the others, still, and will post them once they are complete. I deliver all on April 1st so I really appreciate prayers to be able to complete them all on time. The fun thing is that I will meet up with a few of my Georgia Spark Buddies at delivery!!! So, if you live near Gainsville, give me a shout!
I love and miss you all!!!! -- Camille
(These are all posted on my Camille Engel Facebook page, too!)
