Ok, so on my days off I went to play trivia at a local pub. I told myself that I was just going to drink water, but it didn't work out that way... a few beers and a couple shots later....... I gained 3lbs....seriously, 3 lbs. I thought maybe it was water weight and would even out in a few days. No such luck. I can't believe I gained 3lbs after 1 night out. This doesn't bode well for my summer, since the warm months are really the only time I drink. I hate having to be different. I resent not being able to enjoy a few beers by the pool with the rest of my friends. Seems like another example of how I'm not like everyone else and I resent it. I also resent the fact that now I have to "re-loose" those 3lbs. Weight loss is sooooo fragile. ....

    You were right...we do have a lot in common! This is a tough dilemma. I love to party with my friends and there tends to be alcohol in the mix a good majority of the time. I have tried beer, water, beer, water, etc. so that I'm still able to drink but I'm not drinking as much. I also cut back on the number of times I go out. Staying home one night on the weekend cuts that drinking in half. It's hard and I identify with your feelings of resentment.

    That's usually my down fall also. I'm trying to add a some extra cardio into those days to offset it. It's a real challenge though!!
