Well I seem to think I'm doing a really good job! I've gotten Belle out and walked with her 5 times this week! We went to the track twice and walked up and down the road a few times too! Our longest walk so far was 3 1/2 miles. It's been great to get out and get moving, even if I'm exausted when I get home. The dogs definatly need it too! Yesterday my older dog got tired LONG before I did! YAY for me!

    Hello and welcome back!

It's great that you're out walking every day! The dog must have been wondering what the heck is going on. LOL

Keep up the good work, you'll see results in no time!

    (Oh, and happy birthday!)

Belated happy birthday! I just read your blog from the 11th ... I've fallen way behind on my blog reading. It's great that you feel like you're doing a really good job. A good attitude and self confidence are essential elements of success.

Now that the snow is off the ground, and the temps are warm enough to allow walking with a light jacket instead of a heavy winter coat I've set one of my May goals to get outside more. In addition to doing my Leslie walks I'm adding three outside walks to my schedule every week. I'm going to try to get Rusty to walk with me. He's not a very good walker ... he's more of a dragger and I don't like being drug around. If he doesn't shape up and walk nice he'll get left at home and I'll walk by myself. It's a shame ... he's been to obedience school, but only walks well for my husband. He's a big boy (80 pound Golden Retriever) and if he wants to go one way and I want to go the other, he always wins.

I've had my dog out for walks too! He's a Chihuahua mix, transplanted from Arizona, so he's not used to the cold ground on his feet. As soon as its a little warmer, he should be up for longer walks. You are doing great....getting out so often! Keep it up!

When you can tire the dog out before you that's a good thing. Good luck in your goals!!!
