Met with my personal trainer twice this week. I was terrified and almost backed out of my first meeting. I was afraid everyone would be looking at me and wondering why I was in the gym. (although, in the right perspective I should have actually thought it would be obvious why I was at the gym) This is the type of gym where all the women are about 110lbs, in full make up, wearing designer work out clothes. I was pleasantly surprised that nobody seemed to care why I was there or even obviously notice that I was there. My sister pointed out that they are all too concerned with whatever they are doing to pay too much attention to anyone else. Both of my sessions went really well, and I even stayed after the 2nd session to use their cardio equipment. I didn't feel at all out of place and even got a little charge out of the idea of being a "gym rat." lol I think I even got a better workout than I usually do at home. I didn't take as many breaks because I just kept up with the people around me. I'm really excited about what this personal trainer can help me do. Twice a week for 6 more weeks.....we will see!
