Mothers Day Event!

My DD called on Thursday night to see what I was doing Friday. She said, her hubby had been out of town and would be home for the weekend and then flying out on a job again. So she would come to see me Friday and spend the afternoon with me. For Mothers Day. I was not going to be busy and would have dropped any plans I might have had anyway just to be with her.
DD arrived at noon and bought in this big wrapped box. I opened it having no idea what it could be. As I tore the paper off I saw Robot Roomba ~ thought I was dreaming. The day before I had thought to myself I am going to spend the governments money when it comes on a Robot Roomba! I had wanted one for a long, long, time.
DD had bought one for me and one for herself. She had used hers a number of times and so plugged mine in, and got it ready to work. We then went to a delightful restaurant to eat lunch and had a great time visiting. When we got home Roomba was waiting green lights flashing on and all powered up to go. I pressed the button and off he went ~ we had the greatest time watching and laughing. DD did show and tell since she knew what I should watch out for if he got tangled up in chair legs or cords. I found out it is just easier to pick up anything that might be in his way. He went from the Living room to the kitchen and then to the family room. I was amazed and enthralled and had fallen in love with this round disc of a robot.
Today I took him upstairs and let him vacuum the three rooms, the hall and the bathroom. Loved how he went back and forth under the beds. Wow! I did not have to vacuum under the beds anymore ~ it had become more and more difficult to get up once I got down, so under the beds did not get cleaned but once in a great while. I had enough energy to clean the bathrooms, vacuum the stairs - which roomba can't do he would fall off the cliff, and mop the kitchen. The kitchen is big ~ so that's a job. I had dusted everything on Thursday so at 2pm this afternoon I was looking at my nice clean house and was so blessed.
What a wonderful daughter and a wonderful gift for Mothers Day.
