The most precious words a Mom can hear!

Saturday, May 16, 2009

emoticonYesterday, I entered the closet that contains my work clothes. As a stay-at-home Mom, I don't venture into that closet often. We have a wedding coming up and I thought that I would wear something from my "closet". I refuse to buy a dress in the size I am now.

I put on a black skirt (as black is slimming!) and I walked past my son's room to view myself in the mirror and my son, who is two-years-old says, "Mommy is a princess!". I almost cried! I gave him a huge hug and a kiss.

I guess he has noticed how I wear my old maternity clothes and pajamas a lot. But...for a man to notice that I look nice, even a miniature one, was wonderful! emoticon

Funny, I rarely wear a dress and the first time I did, my JJ said the same thing - "Mommy you look like a princess!" Must be something they get from watching movies or something, or books where princesses wear dresses ... anyway it's adorable. Your Nason sounds like a sweetheart.

Thanks for the add, by the way!

What an amazing little guy! Save that memory for the teenage years. LOL!!! He'll probably be a great teenager too.

Christie - that is sooo cute. Its moments like those you wish you had a video camera on 24/7 to capture that. What a sweetie for recognizing the princess you truly are.

How sweet! Enjoy those true compliments for they are most sincere and real. (My last one, "I just noticed how pretty you are today," came from a conniving 9-yr-old who was wanting a snow cone!) But, boy, when they're unexpected and from the heart they are truly something to cherish forever!
