Going Strong

I'm doing pretty good so far with the running. I'm easily at 4.5 miles, I wanted to be more at the 5mile range but I'll take 4.5. I did 4.5 today around 43 minutes. I had some pain in the groin area but it went away. Then at one point I got cramps in both of my calves(sp) and thought I was going down. I stopped and rubbed and stretched, but never stopped my garmin...should of but oh well. While I was out Rich made pizza--oh flippin joy! I'm going to make a salad and have just one slice of pizza. I didn't run the 4.5 to eat it in a slice of pizza!

I gotta get better about doing more ST though. I've been running and that is it. I'll do some ST but it's hard for me to even say it's an actual workout. Tomorrow I think I'll do a Jari Love DVD. I have a hard time sticking with her workouts cause they can be a bit on the boring side, but I do like the results. I need to get back with the P90X and that is my plan. I figured once school is out I would start back up. School is out now, but I do have to still go into the school Monday until 4pm and then Tuesday until noon. It may not even be that long, depends on how much cleaning is left to do.

I'm signing up for a 5k I believe its on July 18th. I want to get closer to the 30 minute mark for a 5k. I timed one out today and it was 32:42 for a 5k. I know even at that time, I would probably come in close to the 30 minute mark. I know the last 5k I did I was at 29 minutes and something. I hauled ass for the first 2 miles, then when I realized I was way ahead of my usual pace, I slowed down, problem is I slowed down too much. At 2 miles I was at 18 minutes and boy I remember thinking HOLY COW! But I blew it. Not doing that again. I want a strong race for myself.

I have to sign up for both the local big race...The Crim and the 1/2 marathon by July 1st or the price goes up. I'm so nervous about doing nervous. The Crim is 10 miles...think I can handle that, not sure what scares the holy heck out of me about the 1/2 marathon.

Alright--tomorrow ST, Monday probably ST... should dig my bike out and cross train that way. Can't swim yet, pool is still yucky and beside that, it's not warm enough here in Michigan to swim...maybe by August the pool water will be warm enough!
