My Ten Day Challenge goals

emoticon July is my six month Spark Anniversary and I am embarrassed to say that I have not changed my habits at all! I am still gaining and losing the same five pounds...but no more!

The other night I was thinking that perhaps I just can't do this...I just can't lose the weight. Then, I asked myself, "why can other people lose 20 or 30 pounds in this same amount of time?" and the answer came to me...whether it was me or God telling me, but this was the answer to the question, "Why can others lose the weight?". The answer is that they have:

DETERMINATION

So...I am "determined" to lose weight and get healthy.

I am determined to get on track.

So...here are my goals for the Ten Day Challenge from July 8th through July 17th:

1) 30 minutes cardio/pilates each day or 25 minute stretch workout

2) Log food in daily to Spark People

3) Read three articles here daily

So...I have already drank one glass of water, ate half a banana and bought a new Prevention workout video.

Skinny jeans and a healthy life style: Here I come!

    Congrats on sticking with SP for six months. If nothing more, you've become comfortable and familiar with the community, and now it will be much easier for you to implement your plan towards your goal!

    You have a good plan, and I can see by the comments that you also have support! You will be successful, no doubt.

    You'll do it Christie! It's so much a mind game at times. Just pick one or two things to work on at a time so you aren't overwhelmed. Don't be like me and find out you should drop two major food groups overnight (LOL...that's how I view gluten and dairy!). I know I'll lose because I am not even making it to my bottom calorie number on the tracker now. But I digress....YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!

    Glad to see you haven't given up. A change of tactic, your Ten Day Challenge, may be all you need.

    I cannot recommend too highly logging your food on the Nutrition Tracker. I do it every day, even when I go over my calorie allowance. It's the thing that brought me to SP and it's the single most useful tool on the website.

    Christie, I SO understand!! Sometimes it seems I do more "talking about" losing wt. than actually "doing it". emoticon
    Just seems like I "run out of day" before I can get it "all" worked in!
    So... together... we'll just keep getting back on track until we win this race!!l emoticon emoticon One More Time!! We're gonna' Make It!!
