Haven't been around very much lately. My life was turned upside down but it was at my own doing. Husband and I are working at finding peace with our marriage now, i know its going to be a difficult road but i think we will make it thru this...i do hope and I want to.
My release now has been my running. I'm running about 20-24 miles a week, i'm loving it my times are getting better, my weight is coming down...could be the mess that I put myself in and it could be the fact that I'm running for 60 to 90 minutes a day...eating less, guess its a mix of everything. I've signed up for the local big race The Crim...its a 10 mile in late August and then I also signed up for my first 1/2 in October. I do want and need to a few 5ks before then, was going to do one in a few weeks but backed out once I learned it was a hilly course. I'm just now starting to train on the hills,,,mentally I'm not there with the hills. I did my first hill routine this past Sunday and thought I was going pass out on the hills!! The thing that I noticed after doing that routine, 2 days later I went out and did my regular run and was able to do 8 miles at about a 10:20 pace! Could of been just the hard run on Sunday helped me, could of been the new shoes, could of been the freaking issues I have to work thru. I was out for a 5 mile run and realized I wasn't ready to go home, kept going I looked at my garmin and it was at 7 miles, looked again and i was closing in on 8 miles....then the blister on my toe it was time to go home.
I still need to work the ST into my workouts....I know this, but haven't really being doing much with it. I do...oh when i feel like it...gotta get better about that. I will.
