Coming together

Haven't been around very much lately. My life was turned upside down but it was at my own doing. Husband and I are working at finding peace with our marriage now, i know its going to be a difficult road but i think we will make it thru this...i do hope and I want to.
My release now has been my running. I'm running about 20-24 miles a week, i'm loving it my times are getting better, my weight is coming down...could be the mess that I put myself in and it could be the fact that I'm running for 60 to 90 minutes a day...eating less, guess its a mix of everything. I've signed up for the local big race The Crim...its a 10 mile in late August and then I also signed up for my first 1/2 in October. I do want and need to a few 5ks before then, was going to do one in a few weeks but backed out once I learned it was a hilly course. I'm just now starting to train on the hills,,,mentally I'm not there with the hills. I did my first hill routine this past Sunday and thought I was going pass out on the hills!! The thing that I noticed after doing that routine, 2 days later I went out and did my regular run and was able to do 8 miles at about a 10:20 pace! Could of been just the hard run on Sunday helped me, could of been the new shoes, could of been the freaking issues I have to work thru. I was out for a 5 mile run and realized I wasn't ready to go home, kept going I looked at my garmin and it was at 7 miles, looked again and i was closing in on 8 miles....then the blister on my toe it was time to go home.

I still need to work the ST into my workouts....I know this, but haven't really being doing much with it. I do...oh when i feel like it...gotta get better about that. I will.

    Hi. I've also not been around in a while but am determined to get back on track. After doing so great with the P90X and sticking with it for 2 months and starting to get some really nice results, we just lost our motivation. How did we let that happen? Well, we've talked about starting again for the past month, but tonight was the night! We started with Plyometrix and we're going to do the Lean plan but replace Plyo for the Core Synergistix. We want to get the jello gone once and for all. Here's hoping.

    Your family has been through a lot the last year, year-and-a-half. Just try to be sensitive to each other and you will make it through this. Remind yourself every day about something that made you fall in love with your husband. Spend some time thinking about when you first met/married and how he made you feel. Allow yourself to fall back in love with those things that drew you to him in the first place. :)

    Great job on your runs and weight loss too, by the way.

    wow, great mileage! glad things are working through with the husband. just keep working at it and communicate as much as you can.
