My goal jeans

Wednesday, July 22, 2009

Since my size 16 jeans don't fit as loose as I thought (I tried them on), I will keep them as a reminder of the old me. This is what the new me will be wearing only on a shorter frame ( I am 5'2).

I needed a mental image to help combat the cravings for sweets. These jeans are a long way off, but an excellent goal. I even ordered a catalog so I can cut pictures out to remind me that the oreos will not put me into those new jeans!

What do you think?

What is your mental image that you are working towards?

Remember that when you lose the weight (and I know you will!) your body type may not look great in those jeans, but it will look great in SOME jeans (like many of us, you may just have to try on 50 pairs to find them). But a picture of a favorite outfit is something I use all the time, so I think it's a great idea!

What I have done is to print a picture of my self at 19. I was 125 pounds. I keep it at my desk at work and as my wallpaper on my laptop. It reminds me I CAN BE small and not necessarily husky.

Good luck to you. I know you'll make it.

I LOVE that idea. I am going to order some catalogs that I have always avoided because I tell myself "you would never look good in that" but by working my goals and having visual images I know that I can make it.

    Thanks so much! emoticon

I love your goal jeans. I need to find something like that to keep me focused. My focus is like with my glasses on (great) or with my glasses off (kind of not seeing it to well). I need to keep myself motivated.
Pin the picture of the jeans on your size 16 jeans and hang it on your closet door. It will remind you daily of your goal.

Thanks everyone! What gave me the idea was the issue over our President in "Mom jeans". Apparently, I have been wearing "Mom jeans" my entire life. So...I looked for something that would make me feel young, confident and healthy. Now...I just need to do the work to get into the jeans! emoticon

    Very sassy and sexy jeans!
Keep up your visualizations and you will soon look like this in your size 16s emoticon .

As for me... I kept a pair of size 6s I bought when I hit my WW goal in 2004. At first I looked at them, now I try them on every so often. I can zip them, but the "muffin top" is still not too appealing. I want to be able to wear them again.

Awesome! I really need to start doing that, finding clothes and cutting out pictures. I love those jeans, its a great idea. I think I'll find something and put a picture in my wallet so whenever I go to buy food I'll see it and think about it. Best of luck!!

I love it - I am working on an inspiration board myself, with pictures of the looks/outfits I'd like to create with my new wardrobe. Maybe in addition to your jeans pictures, you can start to visualize what style or image the "new you" is going to project.
