When Will I Feel Better?

Tuesday, August 25, 2009

Well, friends, I have to admit that I thought I would be recovering much faster than I am. My plan was to go back to work on Monday, then changed it to tomorrow, but now I'm thinking I'll be lucky to go back at all this week.

The dizziness when I try to stand or walk is just overwhelming, even using a cane. I know it may take another week or two, but I need to get back to work! I have a big federal report that I should be working on right now. And since I'm a bit of a control freak (I'm being kind) emoticon
it's driving me crazy not to be able to get it done.

I just sit here all day playing on the computer or sleeping and can't even enjoy being at home 'cause I can't get anything done! My ear is still swollen three times it's size and I still have some pain; though at I'm grateful that most of the noises have disappeared from the bad ear.

I guess God knows best, and I just have to sit and wait....literally. His time will come, I know, but He knows that I'm gonna grumble a little while I wait. Luckily for me, He loves me anyway! Thanks again for all the wonderful prayers that went up for me!

Blessings on all my wonderful spark friends,

    Hi Marlene,
Is it possible to have a fellow worker bring the federal report to your home so that you can look at it instead of feeling frustrated. Don't overdo though!

I'm glad you're able to be up a little, but don't do too much - work can always wait, or if it can't, someone else can do it (I know, I know it's not the same). It's more important for your body to have the time it needs, than any report needing to be done - after all, your body is for life, and the report is only for the goverment! emoticon

Ahh Marlene - so glad to hear you are able and up to playing on the computer. One step at a time Dear Lady. Is there someone you can delegate that report to - possibly get it off your mind? How about organizing your photo albums or catching up on the latest novel or (gee, that sleep sounds wonderful) writing to the grandkids or.... Seems so often when given golden time off like this that we fritter it away worrying about something we can not do rather than do what we'd love to do. Grab this opportunity with both hands Sweet Marlene and enjoy what you can.

Prayers are continuing for complete healing - major hugs - Diana

Hello Marlene! It is great to hear from you. So, there is some progress, but overall it is taking time... Are there things you can do to keep your mind off the situation? Is the pain more manageable? Have you seen your doctor? What does he say? I am afraid you will have to "grin and bear it" my friend and count your blessings... As you know, you are not in charge! Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers!

Hello Marlene and praise the Lord!

I just only just imagine what it feels like to not be able to do what you want right now We all have to wait for something and waiting for full healing is something we have to do. God has Blessed you with a successful operation , so now let Him continue the healing that He has started on you. When He is ready, you will be back at work and doing the things you used to do! And one more thing if I may, don't guess that God knows what He is doing, believe and know that God knows what He is doing.
Have patience Marlene. Healing will come, according to God's Will.

I will continue to pray for you, my friend and to thank God for what He is doing in your life!

    In Jesus Name

    Hi marlene
I'm glad there is at least a little bit of progress here. I've been wondering about you.
Was the surgery also supposed to get rid of some of the dizziness? Is this type of procedure you ahd done for meniere's disease? How is your hearing?

Please take good care and be aptient. God's not finished with you yet.
