It was so hard....but I drove right by.............

Saturday, September 12, 2009

Ok, so I think that I am an emotional eater!!! I was NOT having a good day today. Stress in life which I know is normal for all people. So; I'm driving down the road to an appointment and all I can think about is what food that I want to indulge in....

Culvers(butterscotch sundae), Arby's (beef sandwich) , McDonalds (FRIES!), Burger King (Cheeseburger), Pizza (Gluten-free..),

I wanted them ALL! The whole time during my appointment all I was thinking about was what to get on the way home. Ughh !!!!!

I ended up driving home without partaking in any fast food. Did I feel any better? Not really. Hopefully, my long term "scale" will reflect.

I gotta tell you....today was tough....

Excellent...being gluten intolerant, I have some bad news for you darlin'.... You cannot eat at McDonalds! Their fries AND their chicken breast has wheat in it.

    Congratulations! emoticon
Maybe it didn't make you feel better at the time; but just think of how strong you were when you drove by all the fast food that was calling to you, begging you!
Sometimes I can be an emotional eater too; but I make myself track every single bite & if I do give in to the stress & eat something, my choices tend to be 'healthier' bad choices than they would have been before I started logging all my food. It sure makes a difference for me.
Keep up the good work & you will see results in the future!

I have those days also. Usually I am proud of myself for just driving right by, other days I want to kick myself. LOL Keep up the good work - it will pay off in the end. :-)

You go girl! Yes, some days are more difficult than others, as Laura5979 indicated, and you'll be so pleased when the scale reflects your commitment to your health & fitness goals. : ) emoticon

You may not feel better right now but you will be able to look back and say "I did it!" Be proud of yourself and your ability to pass by temptation.
