Ugh, the let down.

I have really gotten to enjoy the wonderful feeling I have when leaving the gym. Yes, I'm usually sweaty and tired, but I feel GOOD, I feel GREAT, I feel like I can take on the world.

Well, that didn't happen last night. I only had 20 minutes to be there. Was mainly just going to try out my new shoes.

So, I left feeling let down. It set the mood for the rest of the night. I wanted that great feeling, not that feeling like I wasted my time. I ended up feeling like my workout wasn't even worth the effort it took to get changed and to the gym. I ended up being SO CRABBY! I couldn't stand myself.

Here's to getting that GOOD feeling back today :)

I too sometimes feel let down if I don't have time to get what I like to consider my full work out in. So what I try is that if I have less time then I exercise harder and I also try something different. I typically work out for 1.5 h x 4 days a week. But the other days I try and sneak something in... So normally I do strength training on MW for 30 mins and 60 mins of elliptical. On T/R I do 30 min core and 60 mins ZUMBA. If I happen to go to the gym and have less time I try something new like jogging on treadmill or the rowing machine... Sometimes it's that change in your routine that tricks your body and really helps you lose weight. The last thing is that whether you worked out 20 min or 2 hours if you got your heart rate up you did a good thing and also you burned more cals than if you hadn't gone... Don't beat yourself up!

Don't you just hate that? What's even worse is that crabby feeling when you have done NOTHING! NADA - ZILCH. You're on the right track, you got 20 minutes knocked out and added time onto your life! You go girl!
Keep it up, 10 steps, 20 minutes at a time! Plug away for those that aren't able to do 20 solid minutes at a time YET - but will be INSPIRED by you and will work toward it. Because you didn't let the feeling of being less than perfect stop you.

You are winning this challenge! It will not beat you this time!

You did 20 minutes! Not your usual, but more than many people can and would do. The exercise gurus say that 10 min. is good if you can't do more. You doubled that! Keep focused and knows that any exercise is GOOD exercise.
