Well I did it....

I got on the scales this morning and just like I figured I stayed the same. I have always known that if I don't get my butt out and workout I WON'T lose weight. So I have yet again proven the theory...Get off my butt or stay in a rut!!! I didn't have much choice this week with this damned asthma problem but I did stay true to my nutritional intake. I am trying not to feel upset about it but I have to admit I am just a little discouraged this morning. BUT not enough to go eat a whole mess of junk food! I am glad I at least stayed the same. We recently got a whole weight training gym from a friend and I did work out on that last night. Boy I feel it today, but I like the feeling because it proves to me there IS muscles under this layer of fat!!! YEEHAWWW!!! Today we are taking a road trip and I am going to "Play it Again" a used exercise equipment shop to check out some ellipticals. I have a norditrack ski exerciser but I am like a pig on ice on that crazy thing. I am going to get it out again and see if I can get it mastered without falling on my face. I guess if I can't coordinate myself on it I will have a nice flat face to show for my efforts LOLOL! Well thanks for sticking with me guys. I couldn't do this without you cheering me on! I love ya all! My new SparkPeople family is just awesome!

    Yup, used exercise equipment is often just fine. I got an elliptical now with my dad at a church thrift shop, and a rainy-day machine for myself from goodwill. Of course, Tara prefers the outdoor approach (between laptimes) so long as it's not a wet fur day!

    Hi Ruth,

    I know what you mean about clumsiness and exercise. I'm still trying to get the hang of the harder positions on the stability ball. Whoever named it that was on drugs.
    I'm just glad nobody's around to see me rolling around trying to balance. Truly not a pretty sight! For now I'm sticking to the easy ones....

    Think of it this way: Yeah, ok, you didn't lose weight. BUT, you didn't gain any either since you stuck with your nutritional intake. So good job! Be proud of yourself!

    Should I pack the sledgehammer, or do you have one? Just think, next Saturday when you step on the scale you'll be doing the 'happy dance' for sure! A pig on ice-oh you crack me up!!!     The important thing is that you know why you stayed the same. Sometimes life gets in the way. Think positive. You said that you continued to eat healthy so that is a huge plus. Don't feel discouraged. Once you get your ashtma under control, you will be back to working out in no time.
