It's very rare that I just binge on food. Sometimes I might eat something that isn't healthy or I might even eat too much of something that is healthy, but I rarely just go crazy. Well I just got back from my grandmothers house in the country and I would be very surprised if I didn't gain 5 pounds in 24 hours. She stuffed us until we could barely stand up. I wanted to say no but she's 96 and it just feels disrespectful to refuse. It seemed like every time she saw us sitting still she would bring us a plate of something like Cheetos and cookies. Later on a different type cookie with ice cream. We had chopped beef sandwiches, pinto beans and rice, beef ribs, homemade macadamia nut cookies, plums, and ham just to name a few items. I couldn't even sleep last night because I was so full. And then there was the to go plates.... emoticon
Now I feel like I have a LOT of making up to do. I think I might have to work out twice a day for a while just to catch up. But I must admit it was fun while it lasted.

LOL Good ol' Grandma! Yes, my grandmother is the same way, but usually I just tell her I went to the gym that morning, she'll remove it from my face faster than she put it there . . . at least you enjoyed yourself!

I know the feeling, but grandma loves making sure their grandchildren are well fed. You've been so good at keeping up with your workouts your metabolism already tackled the extra calories. Sometimes its good to shock your system but you're far from overindulging. As long as the excessive eating doesn't become a habit. emoticon

At least you sort of enjoyed it....

and you know what happened. It sounds as if you won't do this on your own so as long as you can get back on track enjoy it as a diversion and a change of scenery for the shortest of whiles.

And I am sure you will soon get this weight off as you work so hard at it and are so determined.

You are doing well my friend.

My mom's the same way, and I don't want to refuse her kindness, so I might counter with, ''You've taken such good care of yourself, eating right and living a clean life - look at all the wonderful years you've had! You've been such an inspiration to me, so I'm sure you'll understand if I gratefully decline your graciousness.''

Of course, you could always just tell her you're stuffed, if she doesn't but it.
