I put the cookie down.

Saturday, October 24, 2009

emoticonI just ate my last oreo cookie.

There...I said it. Putting into print might make it real.

Eating that cookie emoticondoes not make me feel any better. Yes, I am hungry and should eat an apple , but the cookie is what my mind wants.

So...I am not eating them anymore.

Now that you know, you can keep an eye on me.

Thanks Spark friends! emoticon

LOL!!! I'm so glad that I don't like those things. Not enough serious chocolate for me. FYI, Late July makes a whole grain dark chocolate or vanilla sandwich cookie. At least they have some fiber.

You really don't want to know that there are 100 calorie oreo crisp packets at the grocery store now do you? Remember to balance or you might do what I did last week and binge, I believe it wasn't a pretty site either :) SOunds like you have some great commitment and motivation though. The dogs are beautiful in there sleeping pose also. emoticon

Your blog had me singing an old Sesame Street song with a few changes in the lyrics.

"Put down the cookie!" instead of "Put down the duckie!"

I appreciate your determination, but to win this war it really is about balance. I had some hot coffee today and wanted something sweet and bought the honey bun. Was it the best choice? No. Will I do it everyday? No. But I wanted it and I had the calorie allowance to fit it in. It was gooood. Hmm, should've heated it. Next time. Good luck.

PS Balance: Also had lentils and fish today.

You got it, I'll keep my eye on you. emoticon But only if you'll keep yours on me too.

Good for you for putting those cookies away. Good for you for realizing it was your MIND that wanted it, and stopping it. That is a huge step, a hard step, and a wonderful one.

Here's an idea, drizzle a little chocolate syrup on some apple slices next time, and you have the little bit of chocolate flavor, with that nice healthy apple you wanted to eat in the first place. :)

    Keep up the good work!

    OK! WE'RE WATCHING! LOL!
YOU CAN HAVE A COOKIE. BUT IF YOU'RE LIKE ME ONE LEADS TO ANOTHER AND SO ON. SO IF YOU HAVE TO AVOID THEM JUST DO THAT. I SOMETIMES GET THOSE LITTLE 100 CALORIE SNACK PACKS AND THEY HAVE AN OREOLE THIN THAT ISN'T BAD....IT'S NO DOUBLE STUFF OR CAKESTER, BUT IT'S NOT BAD! AND YOU CAN EAT THE WHOLE LITTLE SNACK AND KNOW YOU DID IT. DUNK THEM IN SKIM MILK WITH THE APPLE! CRUNCH THEM UP ON FROZEN YOGURT! YUMMY!
