Today's Army Workout Was Brutal
Wednesday, October 28, 2009
I had PT with the Army again this morning, as I do on M-W-F. We worked out at the indoor track on the U of I campus Armory. We split up into 2 groups, a fast group and a slow group. I was picked for the fast group, "WOO HOO!" We ran 16 laps, which is 2 miles, but between each lap we did various challenging excercises like push ups and sit ups etc. There was no rest between running and excercise and on some of the running laps we would sprint on the straight aways. I love how these guys challenge me.
If you can work out with a group, do it. It really pushes you to your limits. Today was a butt kicker for sure, but hey I got on the scale the morning and weighed in at 200.00 lbs so the effort is paying off. 200 is a major landmark for me. This is the least I have weighed in more than 10 years.
Sparky has been good to me.
