Trying to create less stress...

After working as a full-time, 1 on 1 para (also in my 7th grade son's class), I was able to down-scale to 1/2 time (every other day). Stress level was at a 10+ from approx. Sept til now. In that time I gained 12 lbs... Just getting me & three boys to school --out the door... I feel some pain in my chest now when I get overly stressed. Suppose I should go to the doctor with it, if it continues...

Christmas vacation is coming up. Work 2 days this week. Today & tomorrow.

I was able to track some food this morning after 3+ months... hopefully on the right track again... one day at a time... also going to try getting my 8+ glasses of water in (which I haven't been doing also...) Won't be home til after 10 pm tonight, working in concessions for ballgames... (part of the job)

Am hoping to bring down the stress level in upcoming days... emoticon

    Thank you all for your helpful comments! I still haven't gone in, although since being on Christmas vacation have been feeling somewhat better... (no chest pain, lately) I am going to make an appointment for a physical in January & tell my doctor about the pain. Still haven't had much time for tracking... my dh father has been in the hospital & is home now, also his sister had surgery on the 29th. Wishing you all a (late) Merry Christmas & also a Happy New Year!!!

    I am with those that advise you to take care of that pain. Best to get a doc's take on that, rather than waiting. Our bodies have a wisdom about what is going on and we need to pay attention.

    Sounds like it would be better if you took care of that pain now rather than later....it may be anxiety, or it could be a sign of something underlying.....good for you for cutting back on your hours and stress, one day at a time is a great idea!

    I have to agree with FCASTELO. A heart is nothing to fool around with. We only have one. Your plan to track your intake of food, drink more water, and taking it just one day at a time sounds like a winner to me. Best of luck to you!

    i suggest you don't put that pain on hold. it has a tendency to hang up on you later.
