Letting go of the gym in the near future

Friday, December 25, 2009

For the second consecutive year my company is not giving raises (or bonuses) to the support staff (the majority of the rest of the staff works on commission) and I will not be able to continue with my gym membership more than another month or two (trying to stretch it through the worst part of the winter).

Just joined the SparkPeople's Official Spark Your Body Bootcamp team and I am
planning to participate in the team's challenges as they are posted. I really have to readjust mine mindset and get into working out at home. I have a decent amount of equipment and several exercise videos and just have to get the brain in gear.

I had to let my gym go 6 months ago for similar reasons. I have found that I have more success at home because I don't have to stress about driving to it etc. Just have to make time and stick to it. Good luck I think it will be great!!!

I too am letting my gym membership go. 1. I can't afford it and 2. they moved to a new location father away. and 3. I'm not using it enough to get my money's worth.

I know what you mean. Don't know why I can spend an hour at the gym without a problem, but have trouble doing even a 10 minute workout at home. I did the New You Bootcamp last year and was able to work through the 10 minutes routines twice. You can make the switch. Believe it.
