A True Test

Monday, January 11, 2010

So, anyone watching the news or who lives in the south west, know that its been unusually cold. So cold in fact that the city of Jackson, Mississippi has had so many pipe leaks that they have to call a city wide alert. Yes that is right, they are cutting off the water to 75% of the city of Jackson until these leaks can be fixed and controlled. They guestimate at least a week. So the test I mentioned in the title? Its time to see how nice people can be when they have gone a few days without a shower, everyone around them stinks, they stink, and we still have to live day to day. Boy am I looking forward to the next couple of days.... NOT! I am fortunate, I have a brother that lives about 30 minutes away, so I can go get a shower there whenever I need to. I guess its time for Jackson to take a walk on the wild side!
Wish me luck!
God Bless
Jamie

Good thing you can shower, that way you can exercise and not have to worry about offending anyone... lol... good luck with dealing with all the people who will surely get cranky!

I suppose that none of the pipes are insulated so they don't freeze. emoticon

Good luck for the next few days. I kinda know how that feels. We have no hot water and it is way to cold to take cold showers. So we have been heating up water to take poor man baths. I hope that you survive the next few days very nicely.

I can relate to the cold. It's 39 degrees here now in Central FL. But at least I have water. Can't imagine doing without it. Hang tough. -- Lou
