Drama in the workplace

Tuesday, January 12, 2010

My continued homework assignment, so blog for today:

Today’s been a pretty quiet day and I’m really thankful for that. I’ve been able to catch up for the most part here at work after a week with the auditors. Actually, it’s been quite entertaining!

Drama in the workplace can sometimes be really funny. And I have to wonder why?? Long story short, my boss (pushing 60 years old) is head over heels in love with our AR clerk (21 years old). I’ve never thought he would act this way after 7 years working together. He is a Vice President of Finance and supposed to be professional. Little does he know he’s being used in a BIG way. She is a very pretty girl – perfect body, blonde and all. He even had her office moved from the other side of the building to right next door to us so he’s right across the hall from is” favored” person. It’s pretty sad when the auditor mentions it to me and refers to her as the “special one”. They have mentioned it might be an audit concern because other employees are obviously jealous which can lead to employee fraud in some way. It’s a daily soap opera!!

Now my question – what is he really thinking will come from this?? I mean really?? He’s NOT thinking – that’s the problem. She really could bury him with a possible sexual harassment charge (he’s started pulling her pig tail and touching her neck from what I hear). But you don’t dare say anything to him about her – he’ll snap right back!! I’m choosing to stay out of it. emoticon

On a totally different note – I signed up for the Valentine’s race here which is a 14k on Feb 13th. It works right in line with my ½ marathon on March 20th here and then….. Off to Idaho for the Robie race!! Can’t wait!!!

Well you already hit the nail on the head, obviously he is NOT thinking with his brain, just another part of his anatomy. If he really wants to ruin his career, that is on him. As others said and yourself said, I would for sure stay out of it.

I hope you have fun at all your different races. I wish hubby was home so that I could do more myself. It is hard to find a babysitter for early mornings on the weekends. I will be rooting you on from here in Indiana! Woohoo.

Sit back and enjoy the show. I'm so glad I don't have to deal with that stuff anymore. You are going to do great in your races. Here we come Idaho! I'm ready now.

You can't NOT be a part of it. Sorry, if wishes were fishes and fishes could fly. LOL This is in front of your face my dear. Deal with it! Perhaps by talking to his boss on the QT. What are you seeing and why? You've spent most of your life burrying your head in the sand, where has that gotten you? With sand in your mouth and every other orifice. I'm not saying do anything silly. But, honestly, something MUST be done to stop further use and abuse to happen. And, yes, you can do something. Time for you to see the other side of you.
