INJURY!!!! Darn it!

I started this morning out great with eating (fiber one waffles and a protein shake) and headed to the gym. Started out well on the elliptical and then the treadmill for a total of 25 min. I then began my kickboxing training and about 5 min in I went to do a round kick and heard a snap! Something went wrong in my calf muscle and it was on fire. I sat down and rubbed it but the pain didn't get any better. The only good thing is that I was strong enough not to cry in front of the whole gym. So I picked myself up and hobbled my butt to the car and drove home. I have been icing it and took some meds while I searched my symptoms online. It appears I have strained that big muscle (and mine is huge because my calves are huge) on the back of your lower leg. Treatment says I should use R.I.C.E. - Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation. So now I'm sitting here with my leg up with ice strapped to it wondering how soon I will be able to get back to the gym. Just when I got two weeks of good eating and working out this hits me. I'm praying I can be mobile again early next week. This sucks. emoticon

    Girl, you will be back in no time. Just take it easy and don't rush the healing. It will be okay in due time. emoticon

    I pray you heal well and soon. I know how you feel it always happens to me too. Don't rush your healing you don't want to make it worse.
