I am tired of my "don't wanna" excuses, not just for exercise but for housework and other organizational stuff. I haven't been off track long, but after playing the opera on Saturday night, it's been nothing but tired. Everytime they talk about getting a good nights sleep on SP articles --- yeah! I have no umphf for an intense workout when I just want to collapse into a nap.

So, I'm going to look at doing light housekeeping as part of my workouts almost daily. Then my housecleaning day will have time freed up for other projects or special cleaning needs. I'm not going to think of it in terms of the task as that can generate the "I don't wanna." I'm gonna focus on the 20 minutes. I need to continue to train myself into a more active way of being.

    I know we're in different climates - but I'm thinking we can attribute this to the "dead of winter" vibe. Ugh - trying to shake it over here too.

    What an amazing thing to be tired from - Operaaaaaaa!!!! I came across a video on VH1 yesterday titled : "For the Love of an Orchestra". It seemed such a strange title for a pop venue so I watched it. ...and it was GREAT - totally thought of you!

    Think of all the souls you lifted with your performance - how many heads and hearts you stirred...and that energy resonating back to you. Maybe that - with the physical intensity of a live performance - knocked you for a loop. (I'm thinkin' gosh, I need to get my kid to a live performance ASAP!)

    Yeah, sometimes my cardio is sweeping my classroom and then a quick walk around the school - we have to squeeze in the fitness wherever and whenever we can.

    I like your post. I am feeling the exact same way. Trying to claw my way back to 'healthy living' when all I can manage to get myself to do is FaceBook and at least feed my kids. Forget housework & outside chores!!
    But I am tired of my excuses too. I am going to register for some races this Summer to hopefully give me something to prepare for. I'm also starting to gain back my 'healthy practices'; one step @ a time.
